We had a great cave trip. Our guide had good information to share about the jungle and plant life, and expertly guided us through the cave and its many formations. We definitely recommend a cave trip with V.i.V..

Awesome tour, Abner was a very good guide and had lots of interesting facts about the maya culture and nature to share, our group was only 4 persons strong and it was cool to explore the caves in such a small group. We even could explore a bit by foot and jump into a cenote, which is part of the caves.

We loved our cave tubing experience!! Our guide Tracy was great! We took our 6 year old daughter and she loved it too! You get lots of time in the caves and we got to enjoy some extra time swimming! Would highly recommend this experience when visiting Belize!

My boyfriend and I planned a last minute cave tubing excursion, and we are so glad we did. Cave tubing was one of our most fun activities we did in Belize. Our tour guide (Marco) was so outgoing, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on not only the caves, but the surrounding wildlife as well. Marco is very passionate about his job, which made our experience so enjoyable.

The tubing experience itself was standard- the guide provided a few random tid bits about leaves, etc as we walked in to the sites with the tubes at the base of the cave. What was problematic to me was communication and honesty. We booked a 10am tour as we had to be in the city at a certain time. The evening before, they contacted us asking if we could change it to a 11am. We said no, because we couldn’t. We did not hear from them again. The next morning it was raining so we confirmed that the tour was still happening and they said yes, at 10 as planned. We arrived at 930, as per instructions to arrive before start time. When they hadn’t arrived by 10 we messaged them. They said there were car problems. This exchange happened a few times until they pulled up at just before 10:30, which is also when a second group showed up. We spoke to that group, and viv tours had booked them for 12 but the night before asked if they could come at 11, then 10. The other travellers apologized that they couldn’t make it for 10. In short, viv tours last minute changed the time of two group tours, trying to make it more convenient for the tour company, and also lied about car troubles when it was just that they were starting later as they intended. I am not impressed and based on this would not use their company again.

If you have a rental car, this is the way to go!! We saved about $30 per head. We went on a Monday at 10:00 and avoided all the cruise ship crowds and had huge stretches of water all to ourselves. Our guy was a few minutes late picking up another couple from a hotel, but no biggie - we're on "island time". Abner from VIV was our guide and he was absolutely wonderful. The "hike" was maybe 30 minutes and hot (bring water bottle), but not hard, then the tubing part was absolutely delightful. They had tubes waiting for us and we only carried them a short distance at the very end. I'm upper 40s, not necessarily in shape and I was fine. Our teens LOVED it. Our family has done a ton of crazy stuff around the world and this was top of list. A different company said the water in the caves was too low and tried to get us to go on a different tour, but VIV had no issue at all, so make another call if you're being told no.

Our tour guide was John, with Viv Tours, and he was so great. We were the last group and he patiently waited for us. He didn't rush us or anything. He was very knowledgeable and really made the experience.

Our tour guide was amazing and very informative and alert to our surroundings! We started off tubing and then some exploring the cave on foot and even did some swimming throughout the cave! It was an amazing experience!

We actually visited December 2017. We are returning December 2019 because we had such an awesome experience. One of the coolest things we have ever done. Abner and his crew were very accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient. They always respond in a timely manner to my emails and have terrific customer service. Happy to have gotten hooked up with them.

Booked a Tubing excursion through Viator for Sunday. The evening before we were rear ended by another motorist, causing quite a bit of damage and physical injury to the passengers in our vehicle. Called Viator and tried to either get a refund or re-book. Was advised no refunds within 24 hours of the excursion. Just missed it by a few hours due to the accident. This is apparently a hard and fast rule, no matter what. Suggested that I call or email the operator, who was very helpful, yet had no excursions available for Monday, but suggested Tuesday. We were leaving Tuesday, so that was not possible. Viator, or TripAdvisor basically to bad so sad for you, we are keeping your money. Didn't seem to care about anything else. Hopefully they taped the conversation and would let all to hear. Will open your eyes to this company and its subsidiary. Viator. Be caution and warned, better to simply book local and do not use this company and truly TripAdvisor is not all that they market themselves to be. This visit was my 25th Anniversary and had the elders of the family with me. I say this since the question they ask at the end of these reviews does not give you the options for a proper response.
