Massive thanks to our amazing tour guide and driver (I believe his name was Gary)! He was lovely, had a great sense of humour, was punctual and shared lots of interesting information along the way. Giant’s Causeway was beautiful, and because we arrived before the crowds, it felt like a serene escape into nature rather than just another tourist attraction. I would happily recommend this tour to any solo female traveller!

Itinerary
Arrive at the world-renowned Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most extraordinary natural landscapes in the world.
Drive past Dark Hedges on the way back to Belfast. This ancient tree lined road is probably the most famous haunted avenue in Europe! The road has been closed to public traffic recently so we won't be able to stop - however you'll enjoy some cool views as we drive by on an adjacent road!
Enjoy views over Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Rathlin Island, Sheep Island and the Scottish coast from the viewing point at Portaneevy. We won't be crossing the bridge as it is now a conservation site and closed to groups - but you'll experience the best views and get the opportunity to take awesome photos!

Guide was wonderful, journey easy and comfortable, Causeway was stunning and we were delighted to fit this in before our afternoon flight.
Great 1/2 day tour! Highly recommend. The tour guide was exceptional and gave us an excellent history of Belfast, Ireland overall, and Giants causeway.
Fabulous experience and a good length of time if you are not in Belfast for long. There’s enough time to spend at your destination and the driver pointed out a few things of interest on the way.
Really enoyable day with a very entertaining driver. Instructions were clear for meeting the bus and everything ran on time. The causeway itself was stunning.
Tour guide was friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the area and surrounding area. Was easy to get along with and have a joke/laugh with which made the trip.
The driver was entertaining and informative— the views breathtaking. The day we went the rain held off but the clouds obscured our view of Scotland…. Finn McCool built himself a mighty causeway
What a fab trip! Did the half day causeway tour. Perfect timing, comfortable coach and Gary was fab! So funny, informative and interesting - would definitely do a trip again with the company!
Was a lovely tour, perfect if you've not long in Belfast. Some of the coach driving is on small roads and motorways and is quite assertive, so if you've got any nervous passengers, dont have them at the front. The driver gave heartfelt and interesting guidance, with suggestions of things to do and see in Belfast.
Rory our driver made our wet and very windy trip entertainment. Rory was very funny and very knowledgeable. Gave us lots of advice and tips. Would highly recommend this trip with Paddy wagon who were punctual and very professional. Highly recommend in all weathers, well worth it
Cannot fault this tour highly recommended from the excellent driver/ guide to the wonderful tea & cake at the Causeway Hotel.
A half day at Giant’s Causeway was perfect for our schedule. Though it’s so beautiful that we wished we’d had more time, we had plenty of time to explore. Gary was a terrific guide, knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend.
It was great for a short trip to Belfast. We were the first at the Causeway and were back in the city early. Great bus driver.
Excellent value tour on a modern, comfortable coach with a cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Plenty of time to see the Giants Causeway and still be back in time for lunch in Belfast. Recommended.
It was a great experience to go there, the bus driver was very informative. The place is well worth a visit
We took the morning tour (Fri 16th Oct) the driver was excellent, he was very informative on the various locations on the way to the Causeway. Heed his excellent advice on walking down to the stones and getting the bus back up. We had a coffee/snack and used the facilities in the Hotel, which was superb. He pointed out various locations on the way back into Belfast mentioning restaurants and bars. In a snapshot - Very information, excellent craic and would do it again!
There’s a long walk to the causeway, also the stones are steep and would be tricky to climb if you are not that mobile.
A lovely, super worth it way to spend a morning! We got very lucky as we had a sunny day. Rory, our guide, was super funny and lovely, and rounded off the whole experience
Great tour and fantastic driver, great commentary and craic on the drive there and back. Very punctual and no nonsense Perfect amount of time at the stones Coach very clean
A great trip to the Giants Causeway, definitely great value for the money. Driver gave some good commentary and plenty of time to explore the causeway.
An efficient, comfortable and worthwhile 1/2 day trip. The driver gave us just enough commentary and the timings worked out well. The causeway is beautiful and worth a morning out from Belfast!
Brilliant trip - Rory was informative and lots of fun facts. Really great way to use time effectively to see beautiful N Ireland.
It’s a great tour if you’re short on time and still want to experience Giants Causeway without feeling rushed. Gary our driver, provided a lot of information about Irish history and superstitions and all the sites we saw on the tour.
Driver Gary was excellent, very knowledgeable and funny. Plenty of time to enjoy the Giants Causeway and also have a cup of tea!
My morning experience was awesome. Arriving as the first tour bus at the Causeway was such a treat, since there were very few people there alongside our group. Our guide Gary was excellent- great communication about when to be back at the bus, engaging anecdotes and explanations about the history of Ireland during the drive, and hilarious jokes to boot! As someone who wanted to see just the Causeway and not have a full Game of Thrones experience, this tour was exactly what I wanted. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience with great views and great walking routes. Driver was very good and informative. Would highly recommend this trip.
Gary was an excellent driver, funny, informative and easy to connect with. The tour was great, and he pointed out the ways to make it a bit better when sightseeing. Really enjoyed the Giant's Causeway trip!
It was a brilliant trip. Gary was friendly amd knowledgeable and had us laughing all the way there and back. Would highly recommend!
Amazing trip to the Giants Causeway. Driver had so much information, good advice, good sense of humour, good photo stop, best time visiting early as less people visiting the stones
Driver left promptly on time. Bus was clean and driver did a great job driving on tight roads. Thoroughly enjoyed the Giants Causeway! Glad we had stellar weather as climbing on the rocks was slippery even when dry! The walk down the hill, and back up was easy.
Based on a friends recommendation I signed up for a morning half day Giants Causeway tour. Rory was the guide and the pickup instructions were very easy to find the bus. Rory was a delight, very irreverent and knowledgeable. The tour itself was perfect especially since they take pride in being one of the first buses to get to the causeway. There’s one other short stop before the causeway but that’s what everyone wants to see. Upon arrival Rory had some great instructions on how to avoid paying an entrance fee to the museum and gift shop which was helpful. The walk down and back to the causeway was easy and stunning the day we were there
Wonderful morning tour of giants causeway. Gary our driver and guide was brilliant , funny and informative.
Tour guide provided very helpful advice for visiting Giant’s Causeway. Only drove past Dark Hedges, which was hard to see.
Really lovely half day experience, chatty driver. Comfortable coach. Would definitely recommend to others.
Very simple tour, one short stop on the way and then straight to the Giants Causeway - exactly what we were after. The tour cost was decently priced (as the drive was about 1.5 hrs one way, so 3 hours total ish)… we had some Irish music to listen to during the coach ride, plus our driver gave us some historical commentary during the ride but not too much that it became distracting as the scenery on the drive was amazing and great to watch as we drove through. We were very lucky with great weather and blue skies. We arrived back just before 1pm and were very happy with this as we could head straight to lunch at a pub recommended by the driver, before heading into Belfast city hall which was also recommended by the driver!
Great trip, bit rushed but was only a morning trip so understandable, guide/ driver Rory was very entertaining despite being full of cold (top man) Overall we enjoyed out trip with Paddy wagon
Great trip. Rory was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Great to be able to see the Giant's Causeway in half a day. Good for those who are limited on time. Would highly recommend
Great was a great 1/2 day trip. Rory our guide was very good.
Our tour was exactly as advertised. He left and arrived when he said he would, he kept to his timetable, he was interesting and funny and serious when necessary, and friendly and helpful off the bus as well. We are glad we took the morning tour because we got there before most other buses, and so there were not very many people when we got there. Of course more came later, but it was still very manageable. He gave us good advice about taking the 1£ bus down or up or both and avoiding the charges from the visitor center, but I think I would have liked a little more information on the trip down and back that I saw people from The Visitor Center getting on their recorded devices. The Wi-Fi on the bus worked well and it was a comfortable ride. Not sure why the coaches we took don't have any pockets turn it off there in the seats, let alone cup holders, so it was hard to manage things we wanted to have on the seats with us. The driver recommended that if we needed toilets or a coffee or a souvenir to use the hotel and not the visitor center and he was absolutely right people in the hotel were friendly and accommodating. So anyways we personally like this tour because it didn't take the whole day we got back at 12:30 and we're able to do other things in the afternoon on a nice day. Yes you spend most of time on the bus but he's quite knowledgeable and shares his opinion on many topics but seems to be pretty fair and honest.
Great short getaway, just the right amount of time without being on a bus all day. Interesting facts and nice scenery.
It was very enjoyable, the driver was friendly and made sure we were informed of necessary details of trip.
Did the morning tour, due to be collected at Europa hotel but there were major roadworks a d closures right outside, but spotted the Paddywagon coach parked along the road a good half an hour before departure so no panic. Our driver Rory was great fun and very knowledgeable along with being a very safe driver along some narrow and challenging roads. We had plenty of time at the Giants Causeway and had a couple of photo stops during the trip. The weather was against us but you can't control that. I would certainly recommend Paddywagon for your tours. I booked through TripAdvisor and was kept informed by them and by Paddywagon as well.
It’s beautiful but you need to be careful as it can be slippery when it’s raining. Take your time walking or hold someone’s hand. And our driver and his sidekick were lovely!
Everything needed to get the experience and Rory the driver also gave us tips which were very useful. A must visit
Great morning tour. Enough time to see the Giants Causeway and grab a coffee. Gary was a great tour guide/driver. He gave lots of history of Northern Ireland. Definitely deserves a pay rise. Highly recommend this tour.
Gary was excellent! He shared a lot of information to and from the Causeway. He also had a great playlist for us to listen to. This was an easy and inexpensive excursion. Great for solo travelers or groups. I would advise doing the morning tour if you want to avoid the crowds.
This was amazing and so informative our guide was brilliant . This is so interesting and our taxi was extremely comfortable and clean
Our guide was for the 8 AM tour and he was awesome. Make sure everybody was informed and punctual and had a good time. He’s a great reflection on the Paddy wagon company. For all I know he owns it.
Gary, our driver was really good explained things to us and gave a running commentary about aspects of Northern Irish life. Loved the stop on the way for photo's and enjoyed the Giants Causeway
Great way to see countryside if you're staying in city. Our driver was a great tour guide. Nice to be able to go for half day
