Excellent all day tour of the coast including Giants Causeway- Stephen our guide was brilliant at explaining the history of all the different places and made us chuckle along the way. A very memorable day.

This was a full day small group tour of Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast. We were picked up at a location close to our hotel and rode in a small very comfortable coach. The itinerary included stops at a small village, historic sites, beautiful viewpoints, the Bushmills Distillery and Giants Causeway. Our driver was experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining. Because of our pick-up time and the route chosen we were able to get to many of our stops before larger buses arrived. This was a big plus as most of the companies offering this trip follow the same itinerary. Unfortunately, the weather on the day of our tour was extremely bad, as a large stom blew in carrying strong winds. As a result, we were forced to curtail our visit to a couple of the locations (no fault of the driver). The price of this tour was very reasonable, well worth the experience.
Had a lovely day Paul was great, friendly, helpful and kept us occupied with facts and stories. Although weather wasn't great still had a fab day
Best day by far saw so much would recommend this tour to anybody visiting Belfast. Driver was excellent loads of information and very punctual.
Knowledgeable and safe driver. Excellent day.
Had a fantastic trip to the Giants Causeway. Our guide was so organised and very knowledgeable and was all timed to miss the larger coaches, but giving us plenty of time at each stop. Thank you very much for a great day out.
Our tour guide, Paul, was incredible!! Funny, personable, patient with my million questions, and so knowledgeable!! One thing we loved was the opportunity to drive through the countryside and learn things about Northern Ireland we otherwise would have never learned. The tour took 7.5 hours and was a great value for your money. The timing was perfect- We had adequate time at each stop without spending too much time at places which didn’t require it. Highly recommend this tour!
5 star driver and tour guide. Steve’s knowledge of local history, geography and myths from the area could not be faulted. Plenty of time at the stops.
Paul was an excellent driver and tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. We loved the Giant’s Causeway.
Paul was a great driver & excellent guide
This was a great day with Stephen as our guide and driver. Lots to see, and Stephen helped us to appreciate and understand it. Part history, part natural history and geography, all interesting and well presented. We were on a smaller bus, and Stephen had a knack for getting us into places before the megabuses got there. Highly recommended.
We had the most excellent experience on this tour! Our tour guide was fantastic, he was so knowledgeable and kept us on the perfect schedule. Every site we visited was great, with the causeway being the highlight for sure. I would highly recommend using this particular tour group for this experience. There are a lot of tour options out there for visiting Giant's Causeway, but this particular group has the most comfortable van, with extra legroom, and the van itself is smaller in size which means your group is nice and small. They were able to get us to all the sites before the large crowd moved in. Definite 10/10 experience!!
Excellent experience. Comfortable bus. Driver, Stephen, was very informative and had right amount of humor. Full day of stops. Recommend this tour company.
After reviewing various tours to the Giants Causeway and other locations I decided that travelling by comfortable coach with a limited number of people (28 max) was a good option despite being a touch more expensive. I didn't regret my decision and a tour by driver Paul from Odyssey Coaches was excellent and there were only 25 people on the coach. This meant the getting on and off the coach at the various stops was quick and easy and we kept to the schedule throughout the tour. I would most certainly recommend taking this tour in a smaller coach, more personal and more comfortable for sure.
Paul was great, very informative and friendly. I appreciated his knowledge of the region and its history.
1. Wear good shoes to make walking at Causeway easier. 2. Hot foods not allowed on bus, but hot drinks and cold food is. 3. A lot of walking, easily get 10K steps.
We took the small group tour to Giant’s Causeway. I had been there before but wanted to take my daughters as it is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The drive through the Glens of Antrim and up the Causeway Coast cannot be beat. Our guide, John, was funny and kept us on the road. It was a lovely day! We had enough time to walk down to the causeway and grab some scones at The Nook. I wish there was a way to buy some souvenirs and food there without having to pay to enter the visitor’s centre. We stopped at a viewing point for Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. We stopped at the Dark Hedges as well and were able to walk down the road. It was a lovey day trip and not to be missed if you are visiting Northern Ireland.
Wonderful experience! This tour is in a smaller bus, which is lovely! Plenty of leg room and places to charge devices if needed. The tour guide, Paul was knowledgeable and friendly. I wish we had more time at dunluce Castle but overall wonderful!
Fantastic tour with very informative and knowledgeable driver Stephen. Who certainly knows the history of al the areas visited.
Stephen was knowledgeable about the many stops and the general countryside! Was very helpful at stops to point out bathrooms! Most people followed his recommendations.
As our guide said this is a taste of the area. We enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend the trip. We will be back!
Loved the small bus. The driver was excellent, knowledgeable, and kept us ahead of the big tour buses. Very safe along the tiny curvy roads. Our driver was the best!
Had a lovely time despite mist covering the rope bridge and pouring rain at the Giants Causeway. Coach is very comfortable and stops are well timed. The driver obviously had a great love for this part of the country.
We had a great time on the trip, lots of sights to see and Paul our driver was very insightful and more then nice, would definitely recommend,
Fabulous day, tour guide Stephen was very knowledgeable and funny. Coach was spotless and comfortable. Would highly recommend and would do it again!
Stephen was great. He is a local which makes a huge difference. He is passionate about Belfast and the area. Not being on a large bus is really nice. The coach was new and very comfortable.
Steve did a great job of providing interesting history and facts about the places we visited! Highly recommend!
Each destination we visited was open to the public. If you wanted to enter the “visitor center” an additional entrance fee is needed. All sights we visited had information markers if we wanted to know more about the location. We did not pay extra to enter the “museum “ or gift shop.
Be prepared to learn a great deal of information and to be presented with a very balanced, objective view of all sides of the violent conflict. Our tour guide, Jim, shared the history of The Troubles with compassion and empathy, with a focus on the many ways the conflict impacted victims and survivors to this day. He emphasized the learning and hope we can take from how the society has survived this tragic period.
Wonderful tour. Beautiful scenery, helpful descriptions of the history, geography, lore, and uniqueness of the Northern Ireland coast. Our guide Paul was amazing. Funny and deep and insightful all at the same time. Also navigated some challenges on the narrow coastal town roads that were congested due to a local funeral with patience, skill, and humor.
Lovely day! Our tour guide was informative, a local, and very friendly. Had a great time. Like that he was punctual
This guided day tour was a highlight of our holiday! Our driver, Paul, was knowledgeable & funny, and he engaged with everyone in our small group. The coach was very comfortable & the stops were well paced, with enough time at each to fully appreciate them. (One tip - take a packed lunch, as there isn't a specific stop for this). A really great day - thank you Paul! Highly recommended.
The tour is exactly as advertised, and the order of stops may be different, but I think this was done in order to arrive when there were smaller crowds. Excellent tour guide / driver. But was very comfortable and smaller than expected (which is a plus)!
Our driver/guide was awesome, incredibly knowledgeable and professional driver for the narrow roads and rainy conditions. The giant’s causeway was all we expected and will be memorable for us all. We were there, unfortunately, during a time of uncertainty due to protests in Belfast. When we arrived back to the bus after our Giants Causeway experience, we were advised by Paul that the tour had to be cut short and for everyone’s safety we would return directly to the dropoff location back in Belfast. While, agreed, this was the right thing to do, we did miss three locations that were included in the tour, and we never heard a word from the tour group afterwards about any way to make it up on another date or a partial refund. I understand it was not their fault but customer satisfaction was not high on their agenda either.
The tour was excellent from start to finish. Steve was warm and welcoming, full of great information and funny. We had plenty of comfort breaks making the day so enjoyable. I'll definitely recommend Odessey.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour with Paul. He is knowledgeable, friendly, with a wealth of humour and great stories. The stops were paced well with spectacular coastal viewing in between. Thank you so much! 😊
We booked a tour on a smaller coach to the Giant's Causeway. Selected this tour as it was considerably cheaper than a similar tour offered by the cruise company. Very knowledgeable driver who planned the tour to avoid the bigger coach parties. Coach was clean and comfortable and picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise terminal. Based on our experience we would highly recommend Odyssey.
This was a great trip. Amanda the guide and John the driver were very friendly, informative and engaging. They were an important reason for our enjoyment. Having a smaller bus with a small group was a definite plus. The bus was roomy and comfortable. Each stop had more than enough time to fully appreciate the location. I’d recommend booking with odyssey bus tours. We had a very convenient departure location in downtown Belfast.
Excellent guide in Stephen. Kept us entertained and provided good tips at each of the stops to make it much better for us. Kept us ahead of most of the buses to maximize our time at the stops for bathroom and food, giants causeway and Bushmill’s.
You get a little bit of everything. Beautiful drive of the cost with small towns. Lots of time at the Giantscaisway. A visit to Bushmills distillery.
Steven, our guide and driver was fabulous - full of local knowledge and other interesting facts - very entertaining. Giants Causeway great fun, Whiskey tasting marvellous and loved the Dark Hedges (GoT Kings Road).
Went on purpose day trip with this company ,everyone ran to time Paul the driver was excellent. I would fully recommend this company and the trip
To start with the tour guide politely made it clear that he did not like taking cruise passengers. It was awkward. There was a lot of driving and the amount of time to see something very limited and hurried. He took us to a distillery where there wasn’t enough time to take a tour which left seriously nothing to do there but just waste time that we could’ve used on something before. It basically was just jump off the bus take a picture and let’s go. The tour guide shared limited knowledge at the stops. Some of the stops had potential to do wonderful things had we been given the background, etc.. it was inconvenient for him to get out the wheelchair for our daughter so he would make suggestions that it wasn’t that far and she could walk. This wasn’t the case, especially at the dark hedges. It was a very long walk. The sites that we were able to get to and had a little time to see them were underwhelming, including the Giants Causeway, and especially the dark hedges. It was by far the least favorite of all the tours we took.
Really beautiful! Definitely worth it. As far as the bus goes, I really like that the windows on the side are huge and very clean. Everybody can see the entire countryside, which is stunning. There is good leg room. The tour guide is very friendly and informative. On the negative side, the suspension on the bus is quite bad. It is not a smooth ride.
A perfect day! Just enough time at each spot. The ride went thru the countryside and small towns and along the coast. Giants was well worth it. Our guide Paul was so good, sharing local history, stories, was kind…made the adventure for us!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Driver and guide Steven was very knowledgeable and good fun. Smallish group which was good. Excellent transport. Really glad I booked this.
This was a fantastic tour! You get to see so many things and are given ample time at each stop. Paul was a lovely host with lots of knowledge and a few jokes along the way! I would highly recommend this tour!
The more spacious coach and smaller group were great! Our guide Paul was quite funny. Be prepared for walking with comfortable shoes and wind and rain-proof gear. The stops were just the right length, and even the views put the windows travelling along were spectacular. Make sure to bring lunch or snacks for the bus as there’s not much time to grab something to eat!
So worth the money to see beautiful countryside, meet new people, experience the magic without having to drive and park at each of these stops. Our driver was so fun and informative, we never would have known some of the details he gave us.
Had a great day. Weather was kind to us. Paul the driver had great knowledge as well as a great sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend
