Absolutely positively fabulous! Paul was just incredible! We spent the day tailored to what I was interested in. We went places big tour buses could not go. He also got me back to my cruise ship with plenty of time. He was very attentive and I felt safe traveling with him as a solo traveler. He has a great sense of humor and is a super storyteller. You will not go wrong if you book with him. He made me fall in love with Ireland. When I come back, I’ll do my tour with Paul!

Paul was such an entertaining, engaging, and fun tour guide. The drive up the coast was beautiful. We learned so much about Irish/NI history and facts. He shared a lot about growing up in Belfast and gave us a deeply moving perspective on the Troubles. My kids (13 and 10) really enjoyed our tour and stayed attentive the whole time. We will definitely call Paul next time we are here!
Belfast was the Highlight of Our Trip! If you're planning a visit to Belfast, book a tour with Paul Moyna. Our family spent a full day taking in Belfast, the stunning Antrim Coast, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Giant's Causeway, and a mini Troubles tour — and it was the best day of our entire trip. Paul is a proud Belfast native with a deep love for his city's people, history, and stories. That passion comes through in every moment. He brought Belfast and the Antrim Coast to life in a way no guidebook ever could. He's a fully certified, accredited tour guide, and that expertise shows. What truly sets Paul apart is the person he is. Warm, welcoming, and with a wicked sense of humor, we became fast friends from the get-go. He even kept us fueled with snacks and drinks throughout the day. Touring Belfast with a local also gave us a real sense of comfort and put us at ease. We felt completely safe on our tour with Paul. Whatever your interests, Paul has a tour for you or you can customize your own itinerary - political and historical tours to street art, Giant's Causeway, famous pubs, and even family genealogy tours. We 100% recommend Paul to any anyone planning a trip to Belfast. You won't just get a tour — you'll make a friend. Thank you, Paul! 💚☘️
Our day exploring Belfast was truly unforgettable and it was entirely thanks to our incredible local guide. From the very beginning, it was clear we weren’t getting a typical “tourist script.” As a true local, our guide gave us an insider’s perspective that you simply can’t get on your own. He knew exactly where to go, when to go, and—just as importantly where to park, which saved us a huge amount of time and stress throughout the day. We were taken to all the must-see sights, but what made the experience special was how seamlessly those stops were woven together with hidden gems and local favorites. It never felt rushed or overly structured just a natural, well-paced journey through the city. One of the most impactful parts of the tour was the deep, thoughtful insight into the history of the Troubles. Our guide shared personal context, stories, and perspectives that brought the murals, neighborhoods, and landmarks to life in a way that was both informative and incredibly moving. It gave us a much richer understanding of Belfast beyond what you’d read in a book. By the end of the day, we didn’t just feel like we had seen Belfast we felt like we truly understood it. The combination of efficiency, local knowledge, and genuine storytelling made this one of the best guided experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Belfast, having a knowledgeable local guide like this makes all the difference. Highly, highly recommended.

I booked this tour with Paul Moyna as a birthday treat for my friend, and it turned out to be the perfect way to celebrate. From the very start, Paul made the day relaxed, fun, and really enjoyable. He is incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting stories and local insights along the way, all delivered with great humour. We learned so much about Northern Ireland while also having plenty of laughs. One of the highlights was Paul’s recommendation for fish and chips — it was absolutely delicious and just added to the whole experience. It’s little touches like this that show how much he cares about making the day special. Nothing felt rushed, and Paul made sure we had time to take everything in, enjoy the scenery, and make the most of each stop. The views were stunning, and he knew exactly where to go for the best photo spots. What really stood out was how personal the tour felt. It didn’t feel like a typical tourist trip — it felt like being shown around by a local friend who genuinely wants you to have the best day possible. Thank you, Paul, for helping make my friend’s birthday so memorable. We’ll definitely be recommending you to others and hope to book again in the future.
Our day with Paul Moana was wonderful! He was the best tour guide I’ve ever had…fun, knowledgeable, energetic. We saw so many things in one day and Paul’s enthusiasm made it such a fun time! We toured the Giant’s Causeway, Bushmill’s distillery, pubs, and a big part of Belfast. I highly recommend Paul.
Paul was our favorite tour guide on our Ireland trip. He made sure to show is all the highlights but also throw in some personal favorites too. His one aim was for us to have a great day in and around Belfast and he delivered that in spades. Book him early before you lose out.
Our tour with Paul was truly the highlight of our vacation. Of all of the day tours we have taken, this one ranks at the top. Paul greeted us with such genuine enthusiasm, which immediately set the tone for the day. We learned so much about the history of Northern Ireland. Paul ensured that every minute of our day was spent produtively and was responsive to our interests and questions. I can't speak highly enugh of our experience with Paul and would recommend his tour services to anyone.
paul was excellent. Great tour guide!! He knew the history and the places to see. He got to know us in a few minutes and we were off! Great sense of humor also. Couldnt have asked for any better!! My only complaint is that I wish had more time!
What a fantastic guy….Finding myself in Belfast with an afternoon to spare, I decided to book a spur of the moment tour with Paul having read many positive reviews and I am so glad I did. As a female travelling solo, I have to say from the moment I met Paul I felt very much at ease and my afternoon turned out to be far better than I had anticipated. Paul collected me at Crumlin Road Gaol and immediately set about showing me all Belfast had to offer. He is an extremely knowledgeable person with a wealth of information to share, Belfast`s very own living encyclopedia !! Paul brought me on a journey back in time with an excellent yet balanced account of all that went on during the times of the troubles, showing me various places, memorials, churches along with the history behind each one. Hearing the fact coupled with the visual made for a very informative yet poignant journey at times, especially when hearing Paul`s own personal connection and experiences throughout those troubled times. In addition, Paul showed me a lot of Belfast and how it has evolved today which made for a perfect mix of the old and the new. Belfast is a beautiful city with a very friendly and positive vibe, there is so much to see and do. Paul has a great humor about him and he went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my day. He is an all-round sound guy, his passion for Belfast was infectious. We had great laughs, good ole craic and I have to say I was sad when the day ended and I had to hit the road south again. However, I left knowing Belfast has so much more to give than an afternoon can fill and I have promised myself that the road north will see me again pretty soon. To use one of Paul`s favorite words of the day….it was magic !!
Paul was super knowledgeable and personable. He has lived in Belfast his whole life and has real experiences to share. We had a great introduction to the city by spending a couple of hours on his tour.
The most memorable tour I have ever been on. Paul is amazing, knowledgeable and engaging. I can’t thank him enough for sharing his story about his experiences. Would 100% recommend.
Paul was the most knowledgable tour guide I have ever had. We spent an amazing 2 days with Paul and without him Belfast wouldn’t be the same. Paul really bought the city to life for our family and revealed the amazing and rich history which Belfast is abundant with. We’ve been back in Brisbane Australia for more than 3 months now and still tell everyone about how Belfast was our favourite stop on our trip of Ireland, Scotland and the UK - this is truly a testament to Paul! Thank you Paul 😊
We had a 3day tour with Paul thru Belfast and Dublin Paul was recommended to us and he was amazing Paul was informative, knowledgeable and an kind man Paul made sure that we saw all we wanted plus more We missed Paul’s knowledge and company when I tour ended Thank you Paul for a great experience we will not forget
Paul provided a thorough and enjoyable day. He tailored the trip to our needs and was energetic and proudly showed us Belfast in a memorable way. Exceptionally special
Paul's Troubles Tour of Belfast was wonderful. He has a unique, personal perspective on the Troubles - he grew-up on the street that the Troubles started on and his family still lives in the shadow of the memorial there. He lost relatives during the Troubles, and he has also married across the sectarian divide. All of this makes for a very personal but also very balanced look into the history of Belfast and how it plays out today. He is engaging, insightful and funny. He manages to make the tour really engaging, impactful and tender (setting the history in a human context) whilst also keeping such a bloody and contested recent history light and at times funny. If you're in Belfast you can't go wrong with spending a few hours with Paul, you'll learn loads and leave with an insider's guide to the best pubs in Belfast.
Paul was a fantastic guide. He was recommended by the Fitzwilliam hotel where we stayed (also a great hotel) and he did not disappoint. He met my daughter and I Crumlin prison in his own car. Then spent some time talking with us about our interests and knowledge. I have had guided tours all over the world. We agreed Paul was the most personable, knowledgeable and gave the most poignant guided tour we have ever been on. Paul has personal experience with the troubles having grown up in the heart of it on Bombay street. He grew up Catholic, married a Protestant and has a unique and balance approach to sharing his experiences. We spent valuable time on both sides of the 'gates' and felt like we heard literally, both points of view. Balanced, factual and fascinating. His personal stories about family members who are literally chiseled into historical monuments gave a unique touch to the tour. Ask him about the the filming of the iconic "Troubles" song Zombie by the Cranberries. By complete happenstance, our tour was on one of the most famous days of the Troubles, August 15th. Paul had taken the day off out of respect for the memory, but said he had a feeling something special may happen. When his friend at the Fitzwilliam called to say we were in town only 1 day and he couldn't think of anyone better than Paul, he joined us straight away and even refused a well-deserved tip, saying it was a special day to honor and we had done him a favor. I cannot say enough about his knowledgeable and highly personal approach and if you have a chance, ASK FOR PAUL.
We took a "black cab tour" with Paul, it was arranged by the concierge at the Fitzwilliam hotel. First, Paul wasn't in an actual black cab, he drove a Mercedes. We knew a bit about The Troubles - my wife is Catholic and I was raised Lutheran. Anyway, the tour with Paul was absolutely amazing. Paul grew up in Belfast, his uncle was killed during the Troubles, so Paul has a really unique perspective. His tour was really balanced really educational, and provided so much perspecitive, both to then and now. I cannot recommend Paul more strongly. You can contact him at: belfastwalkingtours@gmail.com
