Excellent trip. Would def recommend. Shane our tour guide was brilliant. He was so engaging, friendly and informative. Really interested in his job like he was happy to be there. Bus picked us up on time. Excellent tour. Enough toilet stops! Will def book this company again for other trips.

Itinerary
We depart from Belfast City Center, from the bus shelter in front of the famous Europa Hotel, on Great Victoria street at 9.45 am. Begin the journey in the company of your 100% Irish guide and your fellow travel partners for today, we'll get to know each other and have our charming guide set the scene as we take the drive through the rolling farmland of county Antrim to the North Coast of Ireland - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We visit the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges. The trees were planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress their guests upon arrival to their house. Most of you will recognize the Dark Hedges as King's Road from the hit TV series Game of Thrones. It is a wonderful photo-stop and an opportunity to be a part of a real life set!
We make our way to the Causeway Coast where we can see fine views of Rathlin Island, and on a clear day we may even see the Scottish coast 13 miles away. The views along this coastline are spectacular, no wonder it is one of the most visited destinations in Europe!
The Giant's Causeway is the highlight of this trip for most! Built by the Irish giant Fionn and his Scottish rival Angus, it is a real masterpiece formed of perfectly shaped hexagonal columns. Your tour guide shall tell you more about the Causeway, and the legends of the area. The entrance fee for the visitor centre is not included as the UNESCO World Heritage Site is actually completely free of charge to the public. Based on years of guest feedback our guests prefer to have the best possible value price for the overall tour and then can make individual decisions locally as to whether they wish to access the adjacent visitor centre for a fee at the door.
We arrive at one of the most dramatic castle ruins in the world for a 1 hour stop, prepare to be amazed at the way this old castle hangs over the edge of the cliffs. Part of the Dunluce Castle fell into the sea in the 1600's, and some servants died in the tragedy. Since that time, it is believed to be haunted by the unfortunate servants. Take some impressive photos before we leave the coast and make our way to Belfast.
Arrive back in Belfast safe and well around 05:00pm in downtown Belfast, your thirst for knowledge quenched and of course you can now say to all your friends that the top attractions in Northern Ireland are now crossed off your list!

It was worth the bus trip! Plus, the best grilled ham & cheese of my life (that I will try and fail to recreate).
The sights were pretty but the driver/tour guide was somewhat crass in what he said and drove recklessly apparently for a laugh (e.g. slammed on the brakes for no reason, purposely drove directly at a car pulled over to the side of the road, and repeatedly honked the horn for the express purpose of scaring grazing sheep). My wife and I did not find any of this particularly funny. That aside, he did not do a good job of letting us know what/when we would be seeing the sights.
Turned up early for the tour. The bus was ‘late’. All the people waiting were ringing the operator. Different excuses every time . Eventually, an hour later they cancelled the tour. Which meant it was impossible to rearrange. And we lost an hour to start looking at other options. All they were interested in was refunding. Do not use them. We ended up going by public transport to giants causeway. But a couple of hours later than we could have done.
Fantastic experience, worth the price. Gerry the guide was wonderful. Each stop was timed with a place where to meet. Gerrys talk was informative with humour where needed. He helped with what parts of the tour where disability friendly. 100% Reccomend any of their tours. The coach was comfortable with enough room for wide set hips.
My husband and I have just been on the Paddywagon full day Giant’s Causeway Tour with Declan and it was fantastic . We thoroughly recommend it . Declan was brilliant and the organisation was spot on Thank you for a wonderful memorable day .
Giants Causeway is incredible but I wouldn’t recommend this company based on this experience. Some of the driver’s commentary was informative, some offensive and some of it just dumb. The driving itself was dicey at times - fast, jerky. The whole day felt rushed. Find another way to go!
Pasdywagon tours took us to the giant causeway . Michael was our guide and he was excellent, very informative and funny as well. Loved the afternoon trip
Great tour starting at a convenient time and location the driver was really friendly and informative and it was fantastic value for money
Well organised and plenty of time at each attraction . Coach driver was very informative and friendly. Definitely recommended
The bus was comfortable and on time The driver was very nice helpfull on time and have great sense of humour and good historian of the area
We got to see the highlights but it was rushed. Would have appreciated more time at Dunluce castle and skipped the Dark Hedges
We had a great experience visiting the Giant’s Causeways. The landscape was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable!!
Could not recommend this enough . Went with my girlfriend and we both had an amazing day out. Our tour guide Micheal was absolutely brillant , a great storyteller, funny , and so welcoming . The views were absolutely spectacular. 40 euro was a bargain.
A week ago today my daughter and I joined the Giants Causeway tour from Belfast. An amazing day including short visits to Dunluce Castle and the Dark Hedges. Special mention must be made of our lovely driver Eduardo, who as well as brilliantly negotiating some narrow roads kept us entertained. We hope to return sometime to see more of your beautiful island.
Loved the castle, loved the causeway and the scenery in between. Dark Hedges were a disappointment but all in all the places were superb. Driver and commentator Gerry, well I imagine back in Ireland he’s a good guy. However I didn’t like his tone. Too much focus on the Protestants not being welcoming, the Brits were murderers, Ireland should be Catholic and United and Winston Churchill was to blame for a famine in India in 1943. I think Churchill does have many bad points but in 1943 he might’ve been busy v Nazi Germany. Cromwell was a mass murderer and Bobby Sands and his IRA mates were not classed as murderers. Biased views, everywhere we went “I’m not welcome here, I wouldn’t go in here, these flags are not my flags.” I don’t care Gerry. I really don’t. I’d not be welcome in some places in Belfast, Londonderry or Glasgow but I’m not really spouting my views to strangers who are going on a tour of the Antrim Coast. Let it go and let the scenery talk for itself. For me the guy Gerry came across as a bitter wee man and there are too many of those across Ireland on both sides of their communities. And slow down a wee but on the bends and corners.
Tour Guide hadn't a clue what he was on about. He made very offensive comments twice.
Wonderful day exploring Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle and the Dark Hedges; our guide, Shae, was knowledgeable and very welcoming. Great 'crack' at the pub when we stopped for lunch and loads of time to explore at all the stops. Would highly recommend for a day out from Belfast. Great value
Great day out, lots to interesting things to learn about Irish history, told with a great sense of humour!!
The paddywagon tour from Belfast to the Giants Causeway calling at the Dark Hedges, and especially Dunluce Castle is definitely worth going on, and was a memorable day out for us. Pick up and drop off was easy and straightforward. Aiden, our driver and guide, was professional, friendly, very informative about everywhere we passed and visited, with a wicked sense of humour. Would highly recommend this tour when in Belfast
Bus was early, like we were so great to have the pick of the seats, only 18 on our tour, so nice group. We had Michael for our driver and tour guide and he was funny and knowledgeable, great views on the drive to Dunlech Castle, wish we had a bit longer here. On to the Giant Causeway, views amazing driving along the coast, be prepared for all weathers, think we had 4 seasons in one day .The causeway was very very busy and we went on a week day, if you can walk up and then down the hillside , these will have the best views and less people. There is a little bus to take you to the stones, I was a little underwhelmed with the stones, but may be because of some many people. Coach driver was on time with all his timings and also where he said he would be. On to the trees, nice walk to them but nothing like the photos you see of them from Games of Thrones, but enjoyable day and a clean and tidy coach and Michael the driver made it more enjoyable, so thank you.
We’re on a Viking cruise and booked this as an independent excursion. Unfortunately our cruise ship didn’t dock in port and we had to take a tender to shore in Bangor. We took the first one but when we got to shore the next shuttle into Belfast wasn’t leaving for another 40 minutes. The drive to Belfast is 45 minutes so even if we taxied we would not make it by 9:45. We did not realize we would need to tender to shore, then shuttle to town when we booked this. It doesn’t seem possible to make this excursion from a cruise ship. We didn’t end up arriving in time to make the excursion and lost our money. I’ve heard it’s an amazing site and am very disappointed to miss seeing the Giant’s Causeway. I just want to warn other cruisers the situation.
Worst travel company I have ever experienced. We showed up for our tour and checked in. Were told that the bus was full and a taxi would be coming for us. After 30 min no one showed. We called the company and said they had no record of that. So they just left us stranded on the street and we weren’t able to do the trip. Now we have to jump through 50 hoops to even get a refund. Do not book with them!!!
This tour company was recommended to us. The coach pickup was central and the coach clean and modern. The driver was friendly and welcoming. The trip included Dunluce (fab), The Causeway (awesome) and The Trees (lost on us as not a thrones viewer). The only down was the food stop. Travelling with a 5 year old, the menu choice was not appropriate. We were told we could order at the bar on arrival. Unfortunately service was slow, not pubs fault they were dealing with the arrival of a coach party! We were also told it was waiter service so we had to wait ages to order. For speed we just ordered chips in the end. Very nice and freshly cooked but then their payment machine didn't work. it made us 5 minutes late back to bus and we were made to feel very uncomfortable. Did spoil what had been a lovely day up to then. I would suggest you take snacks to eat in coach if travelling with a child and just have a quick drink in pub as not sure there is anywhere to go in the village.
Leo, our driver, was a great wealth of ancient Irish history. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, especially the Giant's Causeway. The bus was comfortable. It also had wifi & charging ports so you could recharge your phone to take more pictures.
Look no further PADDYWAGON tours is good value, our guide Gerry is an excellent driver & a character.
Great time but Be careful. The pub you stop at does not charge correctly. Was suppose to be $45 american as i was shown on scanner (picked dollars) and was charged 59 later. Shady!
Nice place to see, but not as spectacular as I hoped. Anyway, the place itself is quite nice, the dark hedges slightly overrated. I personnally therefore would recommend to book a tour with some more stops at other places. Anyway, at giant's causeway i recommend to walk the red route down and rhen rhe blue up. (Better because otherwise you have to climb quite some steps....) With that you also have a bit more space as most juat go down the blue route and take the shuttle bus up at the same place.
Brilliant tour; good amount of time at all places. Aiden was a brilliant driver and gave good commentary/made sure we were all aware of times we need to be back by and where. Also enjoyed the lunch which is extra but worth it. Would definitely recommend. :)
Interesting tour with a very informative driver, Brian. The Giants Causeway is a visual treat but is quite a long walk up and down. Wouldn’t like to do it in the rain
Shaun the guide was brilliant. Very informative and good craic. Lovely tour day. Beautiful country side. I managed the bus with a broken ankle. Giant causeway brilliant but unfortunately couldn't climb it with my foot.
Our driver and guide, Dominic, was very knowledgeable about the area and locations we visited. He made the tour very entertaining and interactive. I’m sure next time he’ll remember Catherine of Aragon. ;). -Anna and Allyson from the Philippines/Australia
The views were amazing! We took so many photos and loved every minute of it! The driver was very knowledgable and friendly!
What a cracking trip.We booked through Get Your Guide and the travel company was "McCombs coach travel" Our driver was called Karl and he was very professional and informative throughout the full trip explaining all the local culture and exactly what to expect at each part of the trip.
Wonderful scenic trip to the Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle remains and Giants Causeway. Brian the guide was very friendly and made the journey by bus an enjoyable one. Very knowledgeable about the sites and even adding interesting historic knowledge. The bus was incredibly comfortable and spotless. Woulf defined book again and advise others to do so.
No directions of driver (he didn’t know where dark hedges were) as pretty new to the job(2years) Made a stop for lunch as the driver requested as kept saying he’s hungry
Great commentary and tour - thoroughly enjoyable day trip to Giants Causeway and the Dark Trees. Our driver was really informative and chatty
Trip was very exciting and interesting. I enjoyed the experience of being able to visit one of the great wonders of the world. Richard was an excellent driver/tour guide.
Enjoyed a very good day with Paddy Wagon Tours to Dunluce Castle, the Giants Causeway and Dark Hedges. Richard was our driver/guide and he was excellent. Very informative and kept everyone on schedule. The Fullerton Arms for lunch was fine (and coped very well with the numbers) but on a nice day a picnic lunch would have been better. Can’t fault Paddy Wagon or Richard. Highly recommended.
We would thoroughly recommend this very good value tour. It was a comfortable, clean coach and the driver Aidan was great. Very helpful, lots of commentary and wit. We visited the Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle (beautiful!) and Giants Causeway (a must see!). We were lucky to have a sunny day, the scenery is absolutely stunning! It was well paced although the lunch stop was late - the last before returning to Belfast - so we didn't eat until about 2.30pm. Have dropped a star as the food at the pub wasn't great (pie with champ was actually pie with fries!). It was quick service though (all efficiently preordered on the coach earlier in the day) and wouldn't let that put you off, just maybe consider bringing a packed lunch. Thank you Aidan for a great day and happy memories :)
(One star less for choice of restaurant to take us to ) We started the day with pick up from the side of Europa Hotel in Belfast and a day tour visiting various locations including Giants Causeway & Dark Hedges . Great host Angelina and Michael the driver were both brill . Just don’t eat at the Hedges Hotel it’s a buffet served to you and is low quality slop & overpriced at £16.95 each with an overpriced bar for drinks. We were starving by 2pm so ate it , but next time I will take a packed lunch or eat at the pub at the Giants Causeway it looks much nicer and better quality .The tour itself is good value and fun . With loads of little bits of info and a bit of history thrown in which was very helpful & interesting We were told to look for a big green bus, but they also use black mini buses, so if waiting for pick up you know )
Rachel was fantastic very informative helpful + chatty. Paul was great driver. Giant's causeway tour really good + amazing seafood chowder at the lunch stop. Tour was 10/10.
Rachel and Darren brought us around Belfast. They gave us a wonderful taste of Northern Ireland while we were at Port for a cruise, spending time at Giant's Causeway and getting some photo stops at Dunluce Castle, the rope bridge and out for lunch. We had a great time, thank you for it!
Seeing the Giants Causeway. Informative guide who spoke well about the history and the area . It was good that she talked to all the people on the bus about local information they wanted to know
So worth the price , Rachel -our tour guide and John -our tour driver were both lovely ,extremely friendly, and knowledgeable.
It was a wonderful experience, our tour guide was extremely knowledgable about the history of the area. Would highly recommend.
The tour was so fast pace. We had to run to catch our tour bus. It finished earlier than planned. Especially the dark hedges stop. We only had 25 min and going to the attraction site itself took 15 minutes !!! Are they expecting us to fly?
We had an extra day in Belfast and thought we would take the opportunity to see some countryside with the Belfast to Giants Causeway tour. I had left it until last minute and therefore the other company I’d intended to book with was sold out. This tour was more expensive and included less stops. For that reason alone I would recommend booking another company. Also of note is that the bus comes from Dublin and then collects more passengers in Belfast. It would be a very long day if you take this from Dublin. Would be much too long waiting in the bus. At each stop you are waiting an extra 10 minutes for latecomers but warned not to be late so you end up being on the bus for 20 min each stop if you are trying to stick to the schedule. The lunch stop should be advertised in the itinerary, again I wouldn’t recommend as there is not any other option for lunch should you decide not to order from the specified stop. The picnic area is a pub carpark. Really could be a much nicer location. The driver was friendly and good humoured but felt his commentary was lacking. Only real detail was about the troubles, nothing on dunluce castle, nothing about the causeway and nothing about the dark hedges. He’d mentioned earlier in the day that a black taxi tour was available from Belfast but never mentioned it again. The people coming from Dublin had an hour free time in Belfast but were given absolutely no guidance about what they could do or see in that time. All that being said her had a lovely day but that’s owing to the spectacular scenery and sights not really down to the tour company. It’s also overpriced in comparison to other options so I’d recommend shopping around for other operators.
We took the day trip from Belfast to Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway and The Dark Hedges, stopping for lunch at a local pub, the Fullerton Arms. On a day of trying weather conditions, our driver/guide, Dave, kept us informed and entertained with his commentary and we found the day to be of great value. We were picked up on time, driven safely and lunch which was pre-ordered on the coach was served promptly by pleasant staff in a welcoming inn. The Irish music that was playing when Dave was not commentating was a bit of a cliche but, nevertheless, great fun and we had a wonderful time. Would thoroughly recommend.
Giants Causeway. Take your NT members cards and ignore the drivers advice and do go into the visitors centre
