Such friendly and knowledgeable staff from the moment we arrived at the coach. Best day out for the price you could wish for. Took you throw some beautiful scenery and gave good advice about what to look for.

Frank was amazing! He was so funny and had such a good sense of humour! I wish more tour guides were like him. Our driver Ben was friendly and approachable. I enjoyed everything about the trip even though the weather wasn’t on our side
Great day out with our guide and driver Patrick who kept us informed and guided us through every step to ensure we had the best experience. We had a really good day thank you
While the tour was good and there was a good length of time at giants causeway I think calling this a game of thrones tour isn’t exactly accurate as we stopped at two places that appear in the programme
Karl was really entertaining, funny, friendly, and approachable. His knowledge of Irish history, mythology and various local pubs is second to none, and he could answer any questions thrown at him. The route covers a vast area taking in a lot of landmarks and places of interest , we never felt rushed at any of them, and at every one there was a pub, cafe and loo! We have no idea how Karl managed to get the coach round some of the tight corners in the villages and down tiny country roads - absolute legend! Coach was very comfortable, well ventilated and had USB charging points, only suggestion would be maybe to add in WiFi as in some parts of the countryside we didn't have mobile signal. The trip was fantastic value for money, thoroughly enjoyed it.
First thing I noticed when boarding the bus was reserved seating in the front which I would have paid for had I known about it. Our driver was Karl who was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He knew everything about everything and had great stories to tell. The bus was comfortable for seating and had usb ports for charging devices. If you are a Game of Thrones fan, this shows you places where it was filmed. You can just imaging being in the show. Lunch was set up for 5 so there was always an odd person among the couples but it worked great! I met someone from Australia who was traveling alone and we're still keeping in touch.
One of the best guide I had in a long time! Patrick had great stories, was funny, and knowledgeable. The trip is well-organized and well-timed. The Giant's Causeway was clearly the best part of the day. If you go, do the red path! It is worth it! One unfortunate thing is that we could not go to the famous bridge Carrick-a-Rede (which is inaccessible with buses). The meeting point was easy to find but the girl that welcomed us was rude. At least, the guide was amazing and saved the day!
Great all day tour to the Causeway along beautiful Northern Ireland coastline. driver Patrick was wonderful he was very knowledgeable and provided great commentary along the way as well as being an excellent bus driver. Recommend McCombs tours very highly!
Patrick was excellent, lots of information and advice throughout the trip
It was a great day out, the driver/tour guide frank was a good laugh and provided a relaxed experience. Despite the fact i was on crutches during this tour, i never felt like i was a problem and i was never rushed and frank did what he could to accommodate me which i really appreciate. The only thing keeping it from the full 5 stars was when it came to lunch, the tour company thought they could cram 2 coaches worth of people into 1 small pub. We were told there just isnt anywhere to sit you so we ended up walking away with no lunch. So aside from the lunch issue i was very please with the day and think ifs well worth the money.
The tour was outstanding! Karl did an outstanding job driving, giving information, and his jokes were on point. Even though traffic was heavy in the beginning due to unexpected road closures, Karl managed to get us where we had to be on time and laughing.
Excellent day. Ray our bus driver was brilliant. Thank you
Brilliant bus tour, went with our teenage sons. All really enjoyed the sights and especially walking round the giants causeway. Mark our driver was really informative, funny and friendly. Loved it.
Such a great informative tour, Karl was the perfect guide Good number of stops and balance of information given
This was a nice adventure. It never felt like we were on the bus too long and was a nice balance of quick stops and longer stops. Our driver/guide, Frank, was fantastic. The only downside was lunch. They were quite busy at the restaurant, and I ended up having about 15 minutes by the time I got my order to eat, pay, and use the restroom before getting back on the bus.
Moving I sat on the right side of the bus and it was perfect!!! The views along the coastline were fantastic! The stops were the perfect amount of time and the bus driver was funny and informative. If I go again I would book the full day tour again. The Game of Thrones drops were fun as well and there were mini facts along the way
This was the best guided day bus tour I have ever been on. Our driver and guide, Karl is a skilled entertainer. He shared his knowledge and experiences of the area and its history with us in a humorous manner, we learned and laughed so much.
Excellent trip, knowledgeable and friendly guide (Rey). Location, seating and choice of restaurants were great.
Excellent tour from start to finish. The time provided at each stop was great and the pub food was delicious. Karl our driver was funny and gave great recommendations. Best tour we did!
It should really be called a trip around the countryside. The game of thrones items were hardly worth it, but the other sights were beautiful. The guide Frank was good!
Karl our driver was great 5 stars. The tour itself was not as good as others we have done. The stop at Fullerton Arms was not time well spent as not everyone wanted to have lunch and there was nothing else to see in that town. The Giant's Causeway was very interesting and unique.
This was the best day trip I have done. The guide Patrick was brilliant- he was charming, friendly, informative and very kind. He made the trip run smoothly and made everyone feel taken care of. The stops are wonderful, the views incredible and you feel like you have stepped into a different world. The time at Giants Causeway was magical. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great day out at a lot of scenic sites, and Game of Thrones filming locations. Giant's Causeway was the highlight of my UK trip and I wish we could have spent a little longer there. Driver/guide was good. Wifi on the bus would have been nice.
We had the most amazing driver, Karl. He is witty and and a safe driver and shares lots of information. The tour was well-paced with enough stops for a washroom break and seeing the sights. Would definitely recommend McCoombs!
Excellent Tour. The tour guide Patrick was informative and amusing. The Giants causeway was an amazing experience. The tour was well organised.
Seamless trip. Well worth it. The coach driver, John, was fabulous. Really friendly, helpful and informative. Although the notes say leaves promptly, he waited 5 minutes for one man who was slightly late to join the tour. Beautiful scenery, we prebooked the meal during the morning with John, who phoned everyone's orders in for our quick lunch stop. Plenty of time at Giant's Causeway and we were given options as to how to get to see them. We took the red route for a walk at the top first then down some steps to the stones then back along the blue route. I would highly recommend this tour.
This is a fantastic and full day tour with McCombs Travel, covering beautiful sights on the Antrim Coast, the Giants Causeway with some Game of Thrones highlights to see along the way. Our driver and tour guide Patrick was amazing.
It was a great day regular stops for photo opportunities and toilets, Giants Causeway is spectacular. Driver was funny and knowledgeable and lovely clean coach 👍
I am glad I booked this tour with McComb's via viator. Excellent service with an extremely friendly yet professional and knowledgeable driver/guide - Ray. Communication from the company was spot on and the bus was clean and comfortable. The itinerary was honoured and the spots were all magical. I would definitely recommend this trip if you have a day to spare, and don't want all the hassle of organising it yourself.
Very good and value for money. The driver-cum-tour guide was very knowledgeable and talkative, and engaged throughout, explaining every detail and drawing attention in engaging speech.
Absolutely loved it. The scenery and our guide Patrick- he is funny, organised and knowledgeable ❤️. thank you
Really good experience. Patrick the tour guide was very informative, friendly and funny. He made the experience even better. Long day but oh so good.
What a great day exploring Northern Ireland! From looking across the sea toward Scotland, to the Giant’s Causeway, the Dark Hedges, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and all the wonderful stops and sights along the way, this was truly a memorable experience. But by far the best part of our day was our driver and tour guide, COLIN. He combined excellent driving skills with outstanding knowledge of every sight we visited, along with a wonderful, dry Irish sense of humor. In a word—FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ireland, and especially if you’re lucky enough to have Colin as your driver extraordinaire. And don’t forget one of the day’s funniest highlights: waving to his “shut-in” mother as we passed through her village—brightening her day and earning Colin a few more brownie points with Mum, which I suspect he probably didn’t need! And of course the trivia and sights related to Game of Thrones was Irish Cream icing on Northern Ireland cake. Thank you, COLIN, for a fantastic tour of Northern Ireland and a day we won’t soon forget. Highly recommended!
The scenery was absolutely spectacular. Our driver COLIN, was Excellent, and very very entertaining as well as a knowledgeable guide to this coast of Northern Ireland. The Giant’s Causeway is the unquestionably spectacular abd the highlight of the highlight of the tour, but Colin's description of the origins of the Causeway, both legendary or scientific made it very meaningful to my group of Americans. Good views along the Antrim Coast we had frequent stops to take in the majestic scenery Dark Hedges and other GOT locations. Well-organized stops and timing. Waving at his mother along the way was great. Very good value for
Patrick was an amazing driver. He handled the narrow, winding roads very well. The coach was clean and in good order. The tour itsellf was wonderful. Patrick was a treasure trove of infomation about the history and area we were visiting. A great day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip out, was wonderful seeing all the different view points on the way up to the giants causeway, Be aware that bad weather, and mist will limit your coastal views, even though we had this, we still enjoyed our day visiting the various locations, which included a couple of Game of Thrones locations which we loved. One of the things which would make the trip better is wearing the correct footwear. Hiking boots with non slip grips are the safest bet when walking the causeway, rainy conditions make the stones very hazardous and we saw 2 really bad falls where people have slipped on the terrine, which caused major damage, just be careful if you decide to walk the causeway. Also it is worth taking the bus up and down to the causeway, which is a £1 each way. Take your national trust membership card with you if you have one as it costs £19 to get into the visitors centre where you can pick up an audio guide, or go on a guided tour which is included on entrance, we did the guided tour and it was worth it. You will gain entrance to the souvenir shop and also the cafe. This tour does not give you access to the visitor centre. The dark hedges were wonderful, but unfortunately some of the trees have come down in storms over the last couple of years. It is also about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the dark hedges from the car park. Our driver was great, very knowledgeable and also brilliant at maneuvering the sometimes narrow roads on the way up. Well worth a trip and we will be returning and hopefully the weather will give us a better view of the surroundings. Definately take a portable charger, as you will need to recharge your phone on the go if using for pictures and videos. The trip is a long day, but full of wonderful things.
Thoroughly enjoyed our guide Frank's insights into Northern Irish history and customs as well as his personal anecdotes related to Game of Thrones. I was on this tour with my best friend and three kids in tow, and the bus was comfortable, the scenery gorgeous, the guide knowledgeable and funny and the itinerary was interesting. Our kiddos are 16, 11, and 5, and enjoyed their time. The pacing can be quite hectic for families, there are a lot of stops and only 2 hours at the Giant's Causeway (which might be enough for some, but was definitely too short for our kids who wanted to move around and explore much longer). Regardless, the day was packed and fun for the whole family. Make sure to bring food if your dietary needs are not met by regular pub fare (even though we appreciated the Fullerton Arms stop and the menu included a vegetarian option) so that you don't have to spend the shorter stops searching for snacks.
The trip was worth every minute. Patrick was amazing and funny, keeping us updated and informed about our journey. Thank you
Best full day tour ! Our guide, Frank, was great, fun, funny, full of interesting stories and facts all along the way! He was one of our most favorite guides! The day was fantastic. Don’t miss the giants causeway- it’s a natural phenomenon!
Colin was a wonderful tour guide for our journey! Funny and informative!
Great day trip! More time at Cliffs of Moeher and less at photo stops. Do not need Irish Coffee stop at the end. Need to get back before 7 pm because no supper on the trip!
Great day on the Giants’s Causeway! The weather was perfect! Our guide, Patrick, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and provided us the opportunity to see a beautiful part of Ireland without driving! We were able to stop a number of times to get great pictures, walk about, and do some shopping. Out stop at the Causeway was spectacular! Beautiful views, and, if you are up to it, a great walk around! Highly recommend!
This was a great tour. Karl, our bus driver was great. He had a lot of local knowledge. You get to see a lot of places on the northern coast of Ireland. It's a long day but worth it!
This tour was well-organized and packed a lot into one day but we never felt rushed. The meeting point at the McCombs tour office was easy to find, and the check-in process was smooth even though this was a large group tour and they were checking in a lot of people at once. The pub for lunch was a good option. Most of the day was walking around at Giants Causeway and we had ample time to explore and take pictures. The stops at the Game of Thrones sites and castles were interesting as well. We appreciated the Bushmills whiskey distillery stop as well (this one could have been a tad longer). Our driver shard entertaining facts throughout the day.
Excellent commentary by the guide. Punctuality. Pleasant conversation
Glorious landscapes, excellent commentary. John's love of his home is evident throughout. Caring & responsive!
Great tour to the Giants Causeway! Our guide Patrick was amazing!
There were two stops missing and there were too many stops for food and shopping. Missed Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Cushendun Caves. 😢
Very enjoyable experience. Loved the tour. Driver Karl kept us entertained. Highly recommend.
