I have been on tours all over the world, on seven continents (how lucky am I), and this tour with Richard was hands down the best I’ve ever been on. Truly fantastic. Richard was friendly, knowledgeable, and a fantastic storyteller. I cannot recommend Richard enough! And you MUST see the north coast of Ireland, and the amazing GOT locations, with a private guide to see the beauty of this land without dozens of other tourists blocking the view. I will be back with my family and friends as many times as I can, with Richard leading the way!

The highlight of our trip!! We spent two days with Richard as a tour guide for the both the Northern Coastal Trek and Winterfell Trek. We even went off the beaten track on the Northern route, with sites not on larger group tours and custom itinerary! Richard, and Rob with booking, were amazing to rework the Northern route to create a unique experience. The immersion in seeing GOT pics and video clips while standing in the same stunning locations was exceptional. Richard was a fantastic guide - amazing stories, knowledge of GOT, sense of humor, and kindness. Awesome choice of lunch stops. Many thanks for all the unforgetable experiences!!

Primary reason to visit Belfast wants to see the beautiful scenery along the Antrim coast. Richard was an extra on the Game of Thrones filming and was very knowledgeable about the different sites. He was very entertaining and made it a very special day. Would highly recommend

i will keep this short as it was a big day! firstly heour tour guide was a man called richard and he was a wildling on the set of game of thrones. i add this because the amount of storys we got related and unrelated to where we were visiting was fantastic! he made sure everyone was on the coach and even allowed an extra 5 minuets to make sure everyone was there. the first leg of journey was a drive but he spoke to us the whole way about what to expect from the day and just getting to know everyone. we visited so many places we went to but there was not as much walking as i expected which was great for an 8 hour day! (theres enough) Richard told us where all the photo opertunities were too and was very social with everyone in the group. the tour itself was stunning and honestly i dont think i would have visited most of these outside this tour so im greatful for that. worth every euro! i know im writing this on the private tour that richard ususally does but i think we got lucky that he did our public one and felt he deserves the recognition oin his page! im sure hes just as fantastic privately! you made our day, thank you!

Richard is a phenomenal guide. He’s obviously well-versed in Game of Thrones, but he also answered all our questions about the history, the culture, and the people of the area. He’s laidback, kind, and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year. I'm terrible about writing reviews after I get home, but whenever the subject of great tours comes up, Richard's tour is one of the first that comes to mind. It was simply that memorable. We specifically chose Richard's private tour for several reasons. I have mobility disabilities, I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, and the idea of being guided by an actual Wildling from the show was too good to pass up. Before we even met, Richard made special arrangements to pick us up directly at our cruise ship, making the connection effortless. It was also obvious from the beginning that he was more than willing to accommodate my mobility needs, which immediately put us at ease. My first impression was exactly what you'd expect from looking at him. Richard is a big guy who absolutely looks like he could still be one of the Wildlings. Fortunately, he's also incredibly friendly and easy to spend the day with. There were so many highlights that it's hard to pick just one. His knowledge of every filming location was remarkable. He didn't just tell us where scenes were filmed. He explained how they were filmed, why those locations were chosen, and shared behind-the-scenes details that made us appreciate the series even more. Standing where Arya climbed from the water after being stabbed by the Waif was especially memorable. One thing I really appreciated was that Richard knew where the large tour buses would be throughout the day. He adjusted our schedule so we stayed ahead of the crowds, which gave us opportunities to take photos along the Kingsroad with almost nobody else around. Those pictures are some of our favorites from the entire trip. He also took us to a fantastic pub for lunch that served some delicious food. What surprised us most was that this wasn't just a Game of Thrones tour. Richard's knowledge of Northern Ireland's geography, history, and culture added so much to the experience that the one person in our group who had never watched Game of Thrones ended up saying this was her favorite tour of our entire vacation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richard to anyone visiting Northern Ireland. In fact, if we ever make it back, I would book his Winterfell tour without a second thought.

What a treat it was to not only explore the stunning Northern Irish Coast, but to also do it alongside the company of Richard. This was my second tour (Iron Islands) through this company and I could not recommend it more. We can't wait to come back and do the Winterfell route next!!!! From the communication beforehand, conversation along the way and the quality and attention to detail, there is truly no tour like it. Having the privilege of seeing the filming locations come to life with the side by side of the actual scenes, hearing the behind the scenes details (from someone who was actually IN THE SHOW) and getting to see and handle some cool props (but I won't spoil anything) was any Game of Thrones lovers dream. Richard is kind, humorous, a great conversationalist and extremely knowledged in not only Game of Thrones but Irish History as well. He is a GEM!!!!!!! Wow, wow, wow I booked this as a surprise GOT day for my son and I. It was amazing. The communication from Richard was second to none, he made recommendations to me which I appreciated, it also meant we got the best out of our time in Belfast. Not only did we see some amazing memorable sites where GOT was filmed Richard brought it all to life with his commentary. We both also felt we had had a wonderful glimpse at Northern Ireland en route and we loved that too. An amazing day that I cannot recommend highly enough. Just book this tour with Richard you won’t regret it.

Hello from Singapore! As huge Game of Thrones fans, this tour was at the very top of our Belfast to-do list, and it absolutely delivered. We've done several private tours before, but this was hands down the best one yet. Richard has set the bar incredibly high for any future guide to follow. What made the experience truly unforgettable was the way Richard wove together the rich history and heritage of each location with his personal, first-hand involvement during filming. His passion, insight, and storytelling brought these sites to life — not just for us as first-time visitors to Northern Ireland, but also as longtime fans of the show. Truth be told, we’ve always considered ourselves more “southern Westeros” types… but Richard made us fall in love with the wild beauty of the North, and the haunting, windswept shores of Salt and Sea. Thank you so much; we’re already dreaming of coming back for the Winterfell route soon!

We loved our Game of Thrones Tour with Richard on Saturday 25th October! It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I was travelling with my adult son who is a fan of Game of Thrones. Since I never have been to Belfast, I thought it would be nice to go and do a private Game of Thrones tour. I dislike large tours for many reasons and wanted it to be a special tour. I found Richard's tour by accident surfing the Internet. From the previously posted reviews, it seemed like he would be the best "fit" for us as he was an extra on set and was flexible about what we wanted to do. And he turned out to exceed our expectations. Richard was a great listener and an engaging conversationalist. He brings pictures of each site as it looked in the movie. He also showed "movie clips' taken at some of the sites too. So very informative!! We had such an amazing time with Richard . It was as if we had known him all of our lives. My 2 other sons now want to go to Belfast and do the Game of Thrones tour with Richard too. We hope to come again in 2026 or 2027. I have family living in Dublin and we had never been to Belfast before. It is so worth seeing and it is has as much as Dublin to offer. Richard, you were the best tour we had on our visit to Ireland. Our family of four went on the private tour with Richard, and we could not have had a better time! The entire experience was so immersive and fun and Richard was such a great tour guide! Richard was willing to answer any questions we had and explained how each stop was affiliated with Game of Thrones. Not to mention you see some of the most gorgeous scenery in Ireland I could ever imagine. Bayside views, to castles and forests. We were lucky to have the Game of Thrones - Private Audi tour with Richard the Wildling on our visit to Belfast. Richard is a great guide who really knows the area. He crafted the tour to fit our interests. We visited quite a few stunning Game of Thrones locations. Richard managed to get us there earlier then other visitors, so we had the sites almost to ourselves. He has pictures and video clips of what was filmed at every site, which was fun to see. Then we went to the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge. The bridge was exciting, and had beautiful scenery. After the bridge, we were off to a local restaurant for a tasty lunch. After lunch, we visited the Giant's Causeway, a truly amazing site of basalt columns. We made a couple more stops before another highlight, the Dark Hedges. Richard had capes and swords, and with us thus adorned, took great pictures. Richard was a great host. We were never rushed and given lots of flexibility in what we wanted to do. Luckily, we had good weather, but Richard was prepared with a plan B in case it was needed. He also had great stories, about Game of Thrones filming and about history (and legends) of Ireland. We recommend Richard for your tours.

Hey i think this is the same tour i was on last year, but the it was not an audi at the time it was a nissan micra. fantasticly informative and enjoyable otherwise but less space than i thought. really recommend

This is the second private tour we have done with Richard the Wildling !. Last year we did the Winterfell tour and enjoyed it so much we came back to Belfast to do the rest of the GOT locations with him. It is a wonderful day out. Richard picks you up early from your hotel and embarks on an epic day out. Most of the GOT locations are included in both tours and each one is a full day. Richard is a fantastic guy who keeps you entertained the whole day, not just about GOT (on which his enthusiasm and knowledge is epic) but also on his knowledge about Northern Ireland in general. The tour took us through beautiful scenery with coffee stops and lunch breaks in nice local pubs. His car is very comfortable and you can stay as short or as long as you wish in each of the stops … he also acts as your personal photographer along the way. Dressing up in GOT authentic gear was great fun too. You don’t even have to be a GOT fan to enjoy this tour as just seeing the beautiful locations all over Northern Ireland was enjoyable enough. We cannot recommend Richard’s tour enough and encourage anyone to just go ahead and book it. It will be money well spent.

We booked this tour to see the sights in NI and experience GoT in a whole new way…and we are so glad we did! We throughly enjoyed our day with Richard! He was fun, had amazing stories about being on set, and kept us laughing all day. He took great photos of us all day and some cheeky selfies, too :) Don’t hesitate to book this experience!

Absolutely fabulous day out visiting a lot of the locations from Game of Thrones, visiting the Iron Islands, the cave where the demon was born, and other scenes from the series. We also got to visit the Giants Causeway which was an additional treat. Our guide for the day was Richard, who appeared in the series himself, and not only did he drive us to see lots of places, but he also regaled us with some wonderful stories from his time as a Wildling, and also added some non-Game of Thrones history, which was brilliant and informative. The tour was brilliant in itself, but the fact we were lucky enough to meet Richard really made this a 5 star experience, and I cannot rate it highly enough. We went to The Fullerton Arms for lunch, and the food and hospitality there was fantastic. I heartily recommend the battered Haddock, and my husband loved the Beef and Guinness pie. The final part of the tour involved cloaks and swords and was just great fun. A wonderful wonderful day.

We booked the winterfell private tour … we even got to hold some fabulous swords and cloaks… we became Starks for the day . Splashed out on Richard the Wilding’s private tour of the South for our son who is GoT obsessed! It was AMAZING. Richard is a genuine, beautiful human with the knowledge and experience of being an extra on the show. We gained a real insight into the making of GoT. The locations were particularly stunning with the autumn leaves. In addition to this he was open to sharing his own and that of his family’s experiences of growing up in Northern Ireland. He indulged our love of Van Morrison’s music too by sharing some stories, and our route took us through some of the places he sang about in ‘Coney Island’. We stopped for a delicious lunch and pint of Guinness in The Barn in Saul. We made some wonderful memories on this tour. Thank you Richard.

The entire process from pre-booking to finalizing the itinerary based off our personal situation was smooth and thorough. Richard was incredibly responsive and catered to our needs from pick up to drop off. He drove quite a distance to where we were staying at and dropped us off at a different location from that pick up, with our bags we flew with. For a couple, the Audi A6 was very comfortable in the back, there was a good amount of background music and information from Richard as we drove to our locations and for any restroom stops he was flexible. For all tour locations, Richard spent time with photos, a portable speaker and a tablet that portrayed the location we were in, the significance and how it was seen in real life compared to on film. In addition; he had props that added to the immersion, which was a topic he focused on greatly and made the tour much more engaging and memorable. We opted to do the Winterfell Trek which included 2x Treks which were about 90 min each, a visit to Inch Abbey, Winterfell Castle & Castle Ward, Tollymore Forest. We had a lunch break in the middle and had many photos taken by Richard at the stops; and wherever we wanted a photo Richard was there for us. The entire time Richard was mindful and engaging to us and everything felt safe and natural. He coined it a perfect way which we will end the review with, "It was like 3 friends hanging out to go see places" We highly recommend Richard and his Private Tour!

Do this tour. It was so cool. Not only do you get to see Game of Thrones shooting locations, but you also get to see lovely Ireland. Richard was a delight. I had planned a full Game of Thrones-themed weekend in Belfast to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, as she’s a huge fan of the show. The highlight was supposed to be the Winterfell Trek tour, but two days before the tour, I received an email from Rob at Game of Thrones Tours informing us that the guide was ill and the tour had to be canceled. He offered two alternative options—another Game of Thrones bus tour or a similar experience starting from Dublin.However, after I shared that the entire weekend was centered around Game of Thrones and that it was my girlfriend’s birthday, Rob went above and beyond by offering us a private tour! This incredible gesture completely turned the situation around and made our weekend even more special.The next day, we were picked up by Richard the Wildling in his Audi A6, and after discussing our options, we decided to head north to explore not only Game of Thrones filming locations but also the stunning natural beauty of Northern Ireland. We visited iconic spots like the Giant’s Causeway, the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, and many other breathtaking locations that I didn’t even know were part of the itinerary. Richard’s knowledge of the show and the local area was unmatched. My girlfriend was beyond thrilled, especially getting to see not just the filming locations but also the incredible landscapes of Ireland. We had an excellent day with Richard the wildling. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. From seeing the beautiful scenery of Northern Ireland outside Belfast to of course enjoying all the GOT locations around Winterfell which was great fun. The journey was extremely pleasant with Richard picking us up in his comfortable car from right outside our hotel and dropping us off back at the door. The timing was spot on throughout the day with us stopping off for comfort breaks and a lovely lunch when needed. The chat and interesting banter was an added bonus. Richard was fantastic and this private tour is well worth spending the extra cash for. Richard provides so much info on not only the behind the scenes of the show but the history of Northern Ireland as well, it really felt like just hanging out with a mate. Also Richard's car can get you further than the buses so less walking for us lazy people. Tip for everyone, book Richard for an early pick up and you will beat the buses to the locations and almost guaranteed the spots to yourselves.

We stayed in Northern Ireland for a week and this tour was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Richard was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent driver. We got to see parts of Northern Ireland that you simply could not get to on a bus. Hearing about Irish history, as well as links to the series Game of Thrones was fascinating - it was exciting being driven by Richard who has appeared in several episodes of the show. This is an incredible tour. As well as seeing loads of locations from Game of Thrones you benefit from the wealth of experience Richard had on the actual set as well as the 1000s of stories he has learnt from other extras and the hundreds of fans he has met. It may seem expensive but being in a small group means you see every detail, have every question answered and have an even more incredible time. You also get to wear capes and hold swords.. what more do you want ?!?

Wow. If you want to see loads of locations from game of thrones, learn 100s of on set facts and to play around in capes with gorgeous replicas of the actual swords this is the one! It may seem expensive but it is so worth it for the amount of places you see and things you literally could not learn anywhere else. Richard is so warm and friendly and was an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate guide it was so nice to be with someone who loved the show as much as we did. Top tip February was super quiet so we got all our pics with no NPCs
