My partner and I have been traveling around Ireland and the UK for a couple of weeks, and our two-day stay at the Voco Belfast was easily the biggest regret of our journey. We were checked in with the promise of a top-floor room and an "amazing water view." Instead, our room overlooked a stale, stagnant green water feature out front. When we asked if the fountains ever turn on, staff told us "no, due to cost." The room's comfort didn't fare any better. The AC is locked so it can't be set below 19°C, but the room itself never actually dropped below 21°C. When we requested a fan, the manager promised to look into it and come up to our room—but she never returned and completely ignored the request. To make matters stranger, we were told the hotel charges cash only for buckets of ice delivered to the room, which felt incredibly sketchy and unprofessional. To top it all off, they were filming a TV show on-site during our stay. We were forced to wait around just to enter or leave the hotel because we had to "wait for the scene to end." We received zero heads-up about this disruption, no apologies, and only short, dismissive responses from the front desk. The sole bright spot was a lovely, kind woman working in the restaurant who was incredibly pleasant. Beyond her, the management and service here are severely lacking. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Great location for what we wanted to see in Belfast. Good lobby with lots of comfortable seating. The rooms are comfortable and beds are great. Clean and spacious bathroom. Food in the restaurant is great. Sticky Toffee Pudding was phenomenal. Breakfast was fantastic. Service was slow and not always friendly.
First impression of the Hotel is positive. Staff are very accommodating, although a few new hires but not a issue. We stayed the 3rd week of June/26. The only issue I would have was the water feature outside the lobby/restaurant was a filthy mess. I understand that it's a feature not solely owned by the hotel, but there is debris floating and a slim that I can only compare to garlic butter floating on the surface. A great area for insects to breed. I could understand if it was the beginning of the season, but this is Prime time tourist season.
Very impressed with the hotel, it's rooms and the staff were great. Only thing to let this hotel down was the evening meal. It was served in what I would call a breakfast bowl, I would have at least expected an actual dinner plate.. I had steak and ale pie, which was in my opinion done that long in a microwave it was black all around the edges and stuck to the bowl, I also had the vegetables ( also in a breakfast bowl) The young lady that took the order was very apologetic and offered me a complimentary dessert or another drink. All in all, I suppose it was just a one off hopefully, and if breakfast is a good standard I'll add the extra star.
Only stayed one night here but it was great - checked in quite late and the front desk staff were very pleasant. Our seventh floor room was very spacious with a good view and really big comfy bed. Breakfast buffet was lovely with plenty of good quality hot options, cereal, pastries, fruit, juices etc. There didn't seem to be much in the immediate area but it was only a ten minute walk into town.
