Overall, the stay was average. The room was fine, although the soundproofing was not great, and the service generally did not feel very warm or welcoming. Two incidents particularly stood out. In the morning, we heard the housekeeping staff warmly greeting and chatting with other guests, but when my girlfriend and I came out, we received no greeting or even a smile. We normally would not care, but the obvious contrast unfortunately made us wonder whether being Asian affected how we were treated. Secondly, breakfast was included in our booking and confirmed at check-in. However, when we arrived, nobody greeted us, and I had to wave for attention. A staff member then incorrectly told us breakfast was not included. After checking again, she simply said we could have it, without any apology. It felt as though we were being given a favour rather than receiving something we had already paid for. Combined with staff arguing loudly during breakfast, the overall experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.

A great stay at the DoubleTree Belfast City Ten Square. The hotel feels modern and fresh, with stylish décor throughout and a really comfortable room. I was in Belfast for work and found the room particularly good for working from, which isn’t always the case with hotels. The location is excellent too very central and just a short walk from Belfast City Hall, restaurants, bars and plenty of places to explore. The restaurant and bar are modern and welcoming, but the standout for me was the staff. Everyone I dealt with was genuinely warm, friendly and helpful, which made the stay that little bit better. Worth noting that the rooftop bar is only open at weekends, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to experience it during my midweek stay. Very comfortable, great location and excellent service. I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Belfast.
We stayed here for two nights Friday-Sunday just gone. Initial check-in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. Downsides: Some of the amenities could do with a spruce, such as the tiny shower with hit and miss hot water access. The television and internet access were very unreliable and kept cutting out. Eventually we gave up on the WiFi altogether and just used our data. One night we only seemed to get lukewarm water through the taps, but the next night this was fine. We had to have both lamps in our room attended to, and one replaced due to faulty bulbs and faulty fixtures. We also couldn't get the heating to work properly so the room was quite cold. A big one is that we weren't warned anywhere on our booking sites that this hotel is a function hotel and above a very busy bar. The volume on our first night was significant until about 1am, which thankfully we were able to sleep through, but a lighter sleeper would really struggle (I could work out specific songs while I was lying in bed). Just something to be aware of as they have events on regularly, and a karaoke night on Thursdays. This IS advertised on the check-in desk on an A4 sign, but I do think it could be better highlighted in case it's a deal breaker for guests. Plus sides: Large and spacious room, with a big bathtub for relaxing in. The beds were very comfortable and the curtains did a great job at blocking out light so I could sleep in as long as I wanted. Breakfast service was really quick, although food quality was a little hit and miss, but it was included in our room rate so I didn't mind much. Location is great - directly opposite city hall and walkable from transport hubs. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and we did really enjoy our time in Belfast. There were a few things that need improving here but it was a nice enough hotel. We did feel it was a bit pricey for the experience we had specifically. The main thing was it was comfortable and clean, and conveniently located.
Booked in last Thursday, really good hotel as it’s central to everything in the City. We spent most of our time wandering around Belfast taking in the sights and of course the food and drink! Breakfast at the hotel was top notch and served by cheerful ladies who chatted with every guest. Couple of bits of feedback around the room. 1. Not for me but my wife questioned why there is no plug points for the hairdryer anywhere near a mirror? 2. The divan bed fixing holding the two parts together was visible and could potentially cut a guests foot as it is metal and quite sharp. All in all it’s a good hotel to base yourself when visiting this fine city.
Where to start with this hotel? Frim the minute we stepped foot through the door we were treated so well, the receptionist Leonie stood out by making us feel welcome and helping us with her local knowledge, all through our stay the staff members were 10/10, its a 4 star hotel with 5 star staff. The location is perfect and the rooms were immaculate and very comfortable, added bonuses were a fridge in our room and the fact you could open the windows (safely) which was brilliant even during the latest storm. Talking of the storm, our flights were cancelled and booking a room for an extra night was no problem, I called down to reception and again the team looked after us and let us stay in the same room which was brilliant. This is now our go to hotel when visiting Belfast. Thank you again for making us feel welcome.👌🏼
