On a typical tour, your first stop will be the heart of Beijing: Tiananmen Square. After enjoying your lunch at a nice local restaurant in Beijing, you will head up to Temple of Heaven,The Temple of Heaven was once the place of worshipping for the emperor’s of the Ming and Qing Dynasty. The temple was located in the southeast of Forbidden City’s wall and on the east of Zhengyangmen. Constructed between 1420, the Temple was constructed under the reign of the Yongle Emperor. The Temple of Heaven covers an astonishing 2.72 million m2. It is larger than the Forbidden City as the Emperor’s once considered themselves Son’s of the Heaven, naturally the Temple should be larger than their palace. The temple is made up of Yuanqiutan, Huangqiongyu and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from south to north. The temple demonstrates the accumulation of Chinese culture and religion. The architecture and décor of the temple are truly breathtaking. From here, we will drive back to your hotel, arriving time depending on when your tour begin.
What a history packed day! Demi was a wonderful guide, filled with so much knowledge, and so good at answering all of our questions. She knew all the ins and outs of getting us through lines and into the spots with very little waiting. It was a six hour day and we covered a lot of ground - it’s a lot of walking and a lot of time outside, so dress appropriately.

We spent two days in Beijing with Demi Tour while travelling with a 11-month-old, a 20-month-old, a nine-year-old, my sister and her husband, my parents in their sixties, and me six months pregnant. Demi was early both mornings, her English was excellent, and she was genuinely knowledgeable — we learned so much about Beijing and about each site rather than just standing in front of them. But the thing I'd tell any parent: she handled entry, tickets and the queues, and she was wonderful with my toddler — walking with him, playing with him and carrying him when he needed it, which took an enormous amount of pressure off my back. When Tiananmen Square closed unexpectedly, she simply rebuilt the day around it, and we spent it at Mutianyu instead. Then on day two she arrived with her own son's outgrown balance bike as a gift for my little boy to use for the rest of our trip. It's the kindest thing anyone did for us in China. If you're visiting Beijing with young children, book her.
We had Michelle and she was amazing. She was patient and answered all of our inquisitive questions. She explained the culture very well and was very helpful in providing other places to visit as well as good restaurants.
Demi's knowledge of the attractions was excellent. She also knew how to avoid the lines - we didnt line up for anything all day but saw many people lining up for hours. She also has a great knowledge of Chinese culture and history. English was great as well.

Grace was our tour guide today and she was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and super helpful. We were tight on time as we had to catch a train but Grace amended and reshuffled our itinerary to ensure that not only did we get to see all the sights, the Mrs still managed to do a shocking (to me only it seems) amount of shopping and then she took us to the train station, came and sat with us in the lounge till our train was called and even handed us over to two station concierges that took our luggage all the way to our seats. We booked 2 days with Demi Tour with the first being the Forbidden City. Linda our guide, was absolutely lovely and made the whole experience lots of fun. She kept the attention of our 2 teenage sons who could easily have gotten bored. Her restaurant recommendations were brilliant, giving us the experience of some real local food. Would highly recommend this team for all your visits in Beijing. Demi was also proactive and proposed airport pick up which was smooth.
There are many agencies offering trips to famous places in China. However booking a trip in China does not mean the trip will happen. For us it was a hard learning since 2 out of 3 trips pre-booked in advance were cancelled by other agencies with no alternative given to us. Demi Tour was the only agency that not only did not cancel the trip but also rescued us organising for us last minute trips that other agencies did not manage to do. Finally we were making all three trips with them. Each of the trip started with picking us form our hotel, travel with comfortable van, very friendly and flexible in an approach guide and driver. Everything was fitting to our needs and we felt comfortable in each moment. And Linda (our guide) did fantastic job. The content of the trip was good and great experience we will never forget. And we were one of very few foreigners lucky to get inside Forbidden City. That itself is not easy to do, since tickets are very limited in number per day and to buy them is almost impossible. When visiting Beijing we were lucky to find this operator and taking Private Tour with them was an excellent choice that we can fully recommend.
We were a family with 9 year old. Our guide George was amazing. His English skills are excellent. The entire tour was extremely well organised. George was also very patient with our son and answered all his queries. I would highly recommend George.

Linda was our guide that day and we had a wonderful day. Her English is great and she has lots of knowledge about all the places that we visited. She's also very friendly, helpful and flexible which was very important to us as we were travelling with 2 children (6 and 9 years old). The driver was wonderful, friendly, reliable and flexible too. Demi also helped a lot with organisation, even though there were some trouble with booking tickets in the forbidden city, she quickly contacted us about the problem. Even though at the end the problem could not be solved, she immediately came up with alternatives to make our trip possible. I strongly recommend their service to anyone that's looking for a private tour in Beijing.
Demi is the best tour you could get in Beijing ! She is extremely knowledgeable about the city, country and world history ! She told me facts about the world wars 1 and 2 that I did not know about and even offered some perspective about the current geopolitical situation! We do not understand China in the West and we probably have the wrong idea about many things in this fascinating country ! We have been guided by Demi for the last two days. One day in Beijing's Forbidden City and Hutong district and today in the Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace. Let me commence and mention how knowledgeable she is- not only relating to the main attractions but almost on anything related to China. She has many tips. Entering with her will also save you long waiting time at various attractions (special queue for tour guides). Her English is VERY VERY good and she definitely taught us lots of information about China, Chinese cultures and history and, of course, about the attractions. All the drivers she has worked with were prompt and helpful as well. We gladly recommend Demi for any tour in Beijing- especially if you want to gain the most of your visit and your time. Be aware that you can also tailor your tour if you get in contact with her in advance.
