About Activity
Leave the city behind and hike the historic Gubeikou section of the Great Wall of China, one of the oldest parts of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Built during the Northern Qi and Ming dynasties, this unrestored section features moderate gradients and clear pathways. Over 130 battles were fought here to defend the capital from Mongol invaders. After hotel pick-up, we transfer to the Gubeikou section for a 2-3 hour hike, before returning to the hotel. Total duration: 9 hours.
