About Activity
Discover a different side of Beijing as we explore its green spaces and historic hutong alleyways. Begin at Coal Hill Park (Jingshan Park), a beautiful green space created from earth dug out to build the Forbidden City. Climb to the top of Jingshan Hill for a stunning view of the city and the Forbidden City. Next, take a rickshaw ride through Beijing’s ancient hutongs, narrow alleys that have been home to residents since the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Finally, visit Beihai Park, one of China’s oldest and best-preserved imperial gardens, with a history spanning over 1,000 years. A local lunch is included.
