Aaron was an awesome guide with very good English and I learned a lot on this tour. The sites in Chengde were definitely worth it.

Your friendly private tour guide will meet you in your hotel lobby. Then You will be transferred to Chaoyang Railway Station. Experience 59 minutes bullet train ride with a speed of 350k/218m per hour.
Visit the largest imperial garden of China. the UNESCO world heritage. learn the Qing dynasty history of two most popular emperors of Kangxi an Qianlong. Explore the imperial summer palace leisurely with your personal tour guide. visit the vast garden, pagodas, temples, temples and lakes. You will spend about 3 hours here. If the boat is running, you can rent a pedal boat to enjoy Ruyi lake at easy.
Savor a delightful Chengde style lunch.Visit the Potala Palace in the afternoon. It has about 200 years old history during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. Another UNESCO world heritage. Experience the Tibetan Buddhism without going to Tibet. Then, head back to Beijing by bullet train. At the end of the tour, your tour guide will transfer you back to your lovely hotel.

We had a fabulous time in Chengde with our guide Aaron. From the moment that we were picked up from our hotel, to the high speed rail, to the various sites in chengde (小布达拉宫，避暑山庄）, we were well taken care of by Aaron who was most helpful and pleasant. Aaron was also very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot from his stories and sharing. A most enjoyable and insightful day trip for my wife and I. ☺️
