Private Day Tour To Mutianyu Great Wall And Summer Palace

This tour was priceless, worth every penny. Seeing the Great Wall and Summer Palace is a once in a lifetime experience for me and this made it so effortless. We chose the private tour, a driver and guide showed up at our hotel, on time, and handled everything. They picked us up at 6:30am and even a half hour later would have been too late because we definitely beat the crowd. Our guide Grace was so friendly, very efficient, and shared so much history throughout the day. The driver was quick but careful and the car was new and super high tech. Definitely recommend if you want a smooth experience but go as early as you can.

We had a very nice day in spite of inclement weather in the morning. The tour operator was flexible and let us start our tour a few hours later. We went to the Summer Palace first and even though it was raining we had a chance to see everything we came to see. You could even say the clouds provided nice lighting so the colors were more vivid. By the time we arrived at the Great Wall the rain was stopping and we were treated to specatcular views with patches of fog slipping through the valleys. Our tour guide, Nancy, was very friendly and spoke English very well. She was very well read on Chinese history and shared a lot of information with us. Spending the day with her was very comfortable like spending the day with a freind. Nothing was rushed we had a nice lunch together and took everything at a relaxing pace.

We had a wonderful day with the amazing Demi. This was such a great way for us to start our trip, she picked us up at the hotel and waited patiently while we finished breakfast. We had a fun time, starting first with the Summer Palace and then the Great Wall with Demi providing a plethora of information. We even had time for mini adventures like traditional Chinese tea tasting. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful tour! First we were promptly picked up by Mr Gao and our tour director for the day Demi 😀I think the knowledge of the history that was shared with us by the beautiful Demi added to the experience, she was fluent with English ,which was important to us, and she was able to answer everything asked to her. We were never rushed with visiting the wall and then the Summer Palace.We were given the option of restaurants and enjoyed a beautiful Chinese feast. At the end of the day we were then picked back up by Mr Gao and transferred back to our hotel... What an unforgettable tour ! We booked a tour with Demi to see the Forbidden City and the Template of Heaven in November 2024. She also booked us a private driver and arranged the tickets for the Great Wall. This is a very reliable tour company with excellent communication from the beginning. Our tour guide Linda, was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We first went to the incredible Great Wall which was a very clever move, as we beat the crowds. Tian’anmen Square and The Forbidden City were very busy, but a definite “must-see.” Highly recommended!

We have been guided by Demi for the last two days. One day in Beijing's Forbidden City and Hutong district and today in the Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace. Let me commence and mention how knowledgeable she is- not only relating to the main attractions but almost on anything related to China. She has many tips. Entering with her will also save you long waiting time at various attractions (special queue for tour guides). Her English is VERY VERY good and she definitely taught us lots of information about China, Chinese cultures and history and, of course, about the attractions. All the drivers she has worked with were prompt and helpful as well. We gladly recommend Demi for any tour in Beijing- especially if you want to gain the most of your visit and your time.
