Excellent tour. Wonderful personal experience with our guide Rita, she was a superstar- so knowledgeable and a gifted photographer too!!!

We went with Maggie to see a section of the wall about 90 minutes out of town. During the ride, Maggie gave us a nice introduction to Beijing and the wall. She was very informative and easy to understand.

Our guide Jeffrey was great. He had excellent tour knowledge with respect to the summer palace and Great Wall and also had a great sense of humour. We had a very enjoyable and educational day and would thoroughly recommend paying a bit more for a private tour with a lovely buffet lunch included.

This was an amazing day. Jerry was our tour guide for this private tour. He picked us up promptly and had driver and very nice vehicle. The driver was exceptional as well. Jerry took us to the Summer Palace first and then to the wall. Jerry explained the history to the Summer Palace and we did not feel rushed as we went through it. Next we went to the wall and took the chair lift up to tower 6. Again, we had all the time we needed and Jerry provided an outstanding history lesson. This was a long day, and being Sunday, it was very crowded, but a wonderful day.

Kevin was an excellent guide who personalised our trip to suit our pace . He was very knowledgeable and super polite . He took us to the Summer palace first then to the Great Wall where he ensured we had a brilliant time . From the beginning to the end , it was an unforgettable experience !

The visit to the Great Wall was epic and I really appreciated that we tried to arrive there as early as possible and could see the Wall before the crowds swarmed in later during the day. The visit to the Summer Palace was a bit rushed though.

I had a fantastic private tour of the Great Wall of China and the Summer Palace. The hotel pickup in a private car made everything very convenient and comfortable. My guide, Bruce was extremely knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about the history and culture of both sites. He also knew all the best spots to take photos, which made the experience even more memorable. The tour was well organised, informative and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing!

We had a wonderful day. Great tour with a great guide. We learned a lot from May about China, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace. May and her driver gave us ample opportunity to explore the Wall from Gates 14 to 18. The delicious buffet was a very welcome break after visiting the Wall. We were very pleasantly surprised by the visit to the Summer Palace and we very much appreciated May’s telling us the story of Cixi as she accompanied us around the extensive Summer Palace grounds. Our tour with May was an excellent intensive course on Chinese history, culture and language. We thank May and her driver for taking good care of us throughout the day.

A truly wonderful and unforgettable experience not to be missed, we joined at watchtower 6 and chose the more challenging route towards 1, it was pretty hard going in places but the views made it worth the effort, we took the chair lift up and down and gave us the opportunity to see the wonderful views in a relaxed way. We did the tea ceremony in the village below - very interesting then, onto the summer palace where our guide Maggie was invaluable with her wealth of knowledge! If we could give her 10 stars we would, the whole day was made more special because of her subject knowledge and consideration of the whole group’s needs.

Our tour guide was Bruce and he contacted us the day before the tour to confirm the meeting place which lucky for us was just over the road from our hotel. It was lovely to get to the great wall before the crowds descended and the toboggan ride down was great fun. The summer palace in the afternoon was very busy but cool breeze made it a pleasant experience. The palace itself is stunning. Altogether a great tour that I'd recommend and special mention to our driver Mr Lee for navigating the traffic.

My family and I did this tour and our tour guide was Sunny. We had a great time and enjoyed very much our tour to the Great Wall and Summer Palace. I have been to many cities of the world and Jerry was by far the most fun, flexible and informative with all the history. Lucy was such a great guide. She kept in touch with us before the meeting pickup, and arranged everything seamlessly. Because I was the only one who booked the full day, after the Great Wall, I had a private tour of the summer palace. Lucy’s knowledge of history was great, and she explained so much about China to me. Her English is very very good! Lucy kept me on schedule and helped me take lots of photos. I will book with her again when I return to Beijing!

Overall Experience absolutely outstanding Tour provided for my wife and I. Although this was my second time walking the Great Wall, it had been almost 16years and things sure have changed. Operator communications were professional, friendly and very informative. From the lead up a couple of days in advance to confirm details and to make sure we had all our ducks lined up to even accommodating my wife and I and changing the day in order for us to fit in another tour. Much appreciated. Our Tour Guide Jerry was Number 1. He made us feel welcome right from the time he met us in the Lobby of our Hotel till the end of our tour where he not only brought us back to our lobby but went over and above to help sort a banking issue out for my wife and I. Not only was Jerry very knowledgeable with the history of the Great Wall and Summer Palace. He was also a great story teller who effortlessly shared this wealth of knowledge in a way you could easily understand full of humour and easy to remember. Honestly we were blessed. Jerry was also accommodating to the speed of how fast or slow my wife and I wanted to take in all the sites. Despite the heat, His local knowledge definitely came in handy especially when he knew it would be beneficial to switch the tours so we wouldn’t be overcome by the temperature of the afternoon. Clever man that Jerry switching the Summer Palace with The Great Wall so we could enjoy the cool morning going up the wall and then enjoy the cool breeze near the lake at the Summer Palace. In finishing I would highly recommend booking this tour and ask for Jerry you won’t be disappointed.

We had a private family tour Lucy who was an amazing tour guide! She and our driver Yang were right on time for the pick-up at the hotel. Lucy had an in-depth knowledge of the historical and cultural aspects of the tour, and she explained everything in very easy-to-understand english. We were there on a monday during the school holidays (the busiest day of the week), but she managed to make the experience fun and informative. The car ride was very comfortable on a very hot day. Highly recommend both Lucy and Yang.

We had a fantastic day with our guide Sally, who took us to visit the Great Wall with a fun cable car ride and toboggan descent, as well as the beautiful Summer Palace. She also chose an excellent restaurant and carefully organized everything in advance. Sally was friendly, helpful, and very interesting to talk to. We really enjoyed our time with her and highly recommend her as a guide.

Pick-up was timely and with a comfortable car. 1,5-2hrs travel by from Beijing. The temperature and the crowd in an August visit makes the walking tour (expect some steep ascending sections of the walk) a little bit more of a challenge. But unforgettable scenery worth the effort - and feeds a sense of direct contact with a pluri-millennial culture. Our guide - Bruce - was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the history of China and of the Great Wall, and effective in his explanations. We greatly appreciated his dedication and professionalism. The “Jade Factory visit” revealed to be more a jewelry shopping experience. Fine but extremely expensive products. Buffet lunch at the “factory” just Ok.

Wendy was a great tour guide. Went to both Great Wall and summer palace definitely worth doing both. Was basically a private tour when we went to the summer palace since majority of people just did Great Wall, meaning we could go at our own pace and she could show us great spots personalised for us.

The Great Wall was every bit as amazing as you’d imagine and the summer palace is beautiful especially under the summer sun. Our tour guide Maggie was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable explaining the history and context that really elevated the experience.
