Chinese Calligraphy Class For Small Group

Very fun! Richard was very nice and learning Chinese calligraphy is such a unique experience. Definitely recommend!

The experience was amazing! Mr. Lee was very attentive in his teaching. Atmosphere was key in helping stay focused. The fee was very reasonable considering learning and showcasing of the art. In roughly an hour and a half visit, it was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend!

The teacher is super nice and helps a lot. It is a experience I definetly can recommend.

We had a 45min session which was gone really fast. And we wrote only 2 letters, not of our choice. It was good practice. I would have loved to learn write a word of my choice though. We got to write the practiced 2 letters on a nice red paper n the end which was our gift + a big brush.

Richard met us outside the hotel and brought us to the store in the mall to do the class. A group class turned into a personalized class for my sister and I. Richard was very pleasant and allowed us lots of practice before the final project. I would highly recommend this experience with Richard if you are curious about calligraphy.

Take it just to try it. I’m not an artist but felt like this would be a fun class. I didn’t know it would be peaceful as well. I’m leaving here now feeling like I just took a meditation class. Oh and I booked a small group and ended up having a private. It felt so good to be here. So JUST DO IT.

This was the perfect way to find some space after a hectic day. I booked a small group, but it ended up being solo. We practiced simple to complex strokes and by the end, I just felt so much peace. I want to do this more at home. Highly recommend. It’s fun and peaceful.

Our teacher, Richard, was a very friendly and helpful teacher. He walked us to the shop we practiced calligraphy in, then guided us through the strokes. We got to take home a lovely souvenir of our final practice

We had a great hour learning calligraphy with the teacher. We learned basic words first, then the teacher taught the words my girls wanted to learn. We recommend it!

It was interesting to try a range of different brush strokes, but the experience was a little disappointing overall. The class was held inside a busy shopping centre and began with a video on an iPad showing us the history of calligraphy. Our host David was very friendly, but we weren’t really guided throughout the class beyond the initial instructions. Perhaps it would be good to see some examples of calligraphy from the teacher rather than a video that I could watch online. We did enjoy trying calligraphy, but a better experience was expected for the amount of money spent.

I was lucky to have individual experience, I learned a lot about old Chinese culture and calligraphy thanks to Richard. It was so relaxing, where you don’t even feel how the time passes. I definitely recommend! It’ll give you time to forget about your worries and feel😊

This was a great experience and I love the finished product. We truly enjoyed the instructor. This is worth the money. I advise to do the hour. 30 minutes wasn’t enough.

Amazing experience! Very informative and relaxing. We went with kids 12 and 14 years old. First we learn the basics of holding the brush then we practiced with ink. Finally we made it on canvas we can hang on the wall at home. The booking, the schedualing and the arriving to the meeting point, was very easy. The guide was patience and supporting with good English. We also get a brush to practice at home! very inspired ! We enjoyed it alot! P.s The guide also takes pictures of you while you practice so don't worry about documenting yourself 😉 .

We had a private lesson. It was very Nice and relaxing class with tea! We practised caligraphy with our chinese paint brush, in a calm Space with chinese technics.” Brush is like water” Then in the end we made our own card and brought it home this us! We really enjoyed this experience i wish we had more time.

Richard was amazing! We had a very enlightening conversation about buddhism at first, and then a 1.5 hr class with just us two. He made an extra effort to come and meet us at the subway and offered us some delicious tea and chat upon arrival.
