Excellent service, good communication. Go on the south side of the street to avoid crazy entrance queues for security.

Very easy entrance to the museum and square. Definitely recommend if you are worried about securing tickets or navigating Chinese apps. It was definitely worth the small cost to be stress free!
experience with Viator is successful, process is smooth and easy. I will continue purchase my ticket in viator.
We visited the China National Museum with these tickets and I think it was worth it - no problems. Remember to arrive early, as there are very loooong queues - one hour before is minimum.
I knew visitor numbers were very limited and I booked this fairly last minute. I had my doubts it would work but it did! Thank you for helping me visit the museum which I really wanted to go to.
We do know this is for pre-booking for entrance only. But you should elaborate of things like long wait lines, series of very tight security checks, etc. Keeping customers in the dark about those cause difficulties. If we know in advance, we could be more prepared for it.
well done!visitd Tiananmen square and National Museum, which are hard to book by myself! Compare to the little money the services is huge value! Thanks!
Was worried the ticket wouldn’t work as was from a third party site. It worked perfectly! Impossible to book otherwise.
Tiananmen square is a must in Bejing. Very impressive. The museum gives a great overview of the different time periods in Chinese history. I especially like the exhibition of the flags and the costumes. Be aware that there are quite long lines to enter the square. So come early enough! And take water with you. The process with the ticket is simple. A big plus booking through Viator: on the official sites everything was already completely booked but on Viator you could still get the tickets.
China National Museum is worth visiting! It has a staggeringly rich collection. I received the ticket QR code and entered the museum easily.
messaged to see if the tickets had been booked, no reply, night before booking got an email that it had been cancelled. Hopefully can get it refunded as it was the company that cancelled not us
To say this agency is unprofessional is to give them too much credit. Our reservation to the national museum and Tian Meng square was confirmed immediately. When the tickets didn’t arrive within 24 hours, I repeatedly reached out to the tour operator, without a response. That morning, I received a cancellation notice from the agency - without any explanation. In fairness, the agency did issue a full refund, but it was my family’s last day in Beijing and because of the last minute cancellation, we were unable to book tickets to any other sights without a reservation in advance. What a shame.
My worst experience! I couldn’t get ticket at the gate and at the last minute, I received a message from viator that my booking was canceled. This is really frustrating and the reliability of Viator itself was damaged a lot. This was the worst case that I have experienced. I think the tour agency, named “China Pleasure Tour Co. Ltd (Reg # 91110105763505912M at Beijing Municipal AIC Enterprise Registry) should be expelled from Aviator platform. No recommendation of this tour!
Great museum, make sure to book a 0900 slot and be there for 0900 as the ancient China section (which is the best part) gets very busy and will have queues for entry. Loads of other sections definitely worth visiting in the museum which is very modern inside.
Unbelievably crowded. Couldn’t get close enough to enjoy the exhibits. We walked out without really seeing anything. The ticket said access to Tianmen square - but it was closed off.
I couldn't get my own ticket to the museum (they are free but go out of stock quickly), so I booked via this tour operator. No issues getting in, and the ticket included Tiananmen Square as well.
Excellent service, tickets are not as easy to secure but the agency followed through and successfully secured the tickets for us. They were also responsive when I contacted them directly through direct phone calls (in mandarin). These tickets grant you access to both Tiananmen and the National Museum. They are registered to your passport. Since the National Museum is located within the Tiananmen area, you must first enter Tiananmen. At the entry point, you’ll need to present both your passport and the National Museum QR code to verify that you have a reservation at one of the museums located within the Tiananmen zone. After entering Tiananmen, you can access the National Museum by simply presenting your passport. Allocate at least 1 hour for entry into Tiananmen, as the walk to the Tiananmen Square is particularly long.
very helpful as booking on wechat was very complicated. There are a lot of queues. Better go 1 hour earlier.
The museum is a must see and ties in with the forbidden City. The Chinese people definitely are a proud people of their history. The waiting time was surprising. You have to request your visit in advance.
It was too hard to get the right date for the museum on my own, so I booked this. It would’ve been nice if it came with some tips/ support for going to the museum. For instance, the English audio guide is not worth it and more info on entrances.
The ticketing process worked. Just have to be patient with the details. I recommend to see the museum. One of the best museums in the world to view !
Do not book with this tour company. I had to remind them to pre-book our tickets the day before and when it was sent through, they did not confirm the time to go into the national museum and square. You’re better off reserving the time yourself as they choose a random time for you with the expectation that you will make it. It is free to go into both of these sites, and this is purely a scam.
First about the booking process -> flawless as always with Viator, our QR codes for the museum entrance (incl. Tiananmen) were delivered on time before our visit and there have been no problems at all with gaining entrance to both Tiananmen and then the museum. They didn't even check the QR code as our tickets were linked with our passports and a passport scan was sufficient - very convenient and efficient (a procedure common with many sights). That it has been possible at all to acquire 2 tickets for a visit during the golden week is outstanding and I am thankful for that (appart from another two foreigners we saw / met only local people in the museum). The museum itself is simply awesome - huge (you have to actually be there and experience it, a description can't propery reflect it), well organised / structured, great and very interesting + beuautiful exhibits, nice souvenir shops and helpful staff. There are some areas to have a snack and drink as well as machines (Alipay / WeChat Pay). We have stayed there the whole day from the morning until they closed and could well have used another two hours. All in all a great and both fun and educational experience - anyone with even the slightest interst in museums in general or Chinese history should not miss this place.
After several attempts at booking admission to the National Museum of China using the WeChat Mini Program, I had given up. As I am not proficient in Chinese, this booking service overcame the difficulties I had in booking admission to the National Museum. Considering that admission to both the National Museum and Tiananmen Square is free of charge if you are competent in Chinese and can secure tickets using WeChat, the fee charged at the time of booking was very steep and probably at the absolute limit of what I would have been prepared to pay to visit these sites. However, I would also state that the fee includes a special exhibition, which is chargeable. The National Museum is well worth a visit and I spent several hours in the museum. There are over 40 exhibitions over several floors. A few days before the visit, I received a message with a QR code attached. This QR code acted as my ticket into the museum when presented with my passport. I was able to get into the museum quickly with security staff taking a quick look at the QR code and my passport, followed by airport style security screening. In this regard, the booking service is a very good service if you are not proficient enough in Chinese to use the WeChat Mini Program and you think the price is right.
This booking service is pricey considering there is no guided tour aspect-- this is just to get a ticket. However, as a foreigner it is nearly impossible to book the free tickets to the National Museum of China-- I tried on WeChat and was never able to do it. This service worked seamlessly and also includes the special exhibition, which would be a paid additional ticket if you made the booking yourself. The tour operator provided an emailed QR code to access the museum which I had no trouble using.
Entry to the national museum and the square was perfect. Excellent idea to combine them. The entry point they gave us from Viator worked perfectly. We barely waited in line Our scheduled time was the 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM block; we arrived a bit early and had no issues. Entry was just by using our passports. It is very much worth including the museum in the visit to Tiananmen. I recommend it!
You pay for nothing, both are free. It can be easily taken out on the official website. Does not include the Forbidden City.
With the same reservation you can see the National Museum and Tian'anmen Square. There are many queues to circulate at the museum, but it is very interesting
I had planned to visit the Forbidden City in the morning and the Museum in the afternoon for a day, but a few museum checks told me that my reservation was in the morning, and no, that's not true, isn't it? However, as it was morning, I was told that afternoon was no good, so I went home amazingly. It was a huge shock because the main thing was this museum. There's a language barrier, but isn't that tough?
