Busda-mutianyu Great Wall & Summer Palace Full-day Group Tour

It was a very long but amazing day, which was made so much more pleasant with the cheerful Selina as our guide. The meeting point was clear and easy to find. Even though several BusDa tours were meeting at the same time, it was easy enough to find the right one. We set off on time, and Selina gave us a very clear overview of the day and background on the Great Wall, our first stop. We had a good amount of time on the Wall, including time for lunch and a VR session. We really appreciated that Selina gave us a block of time so that we could determine for ourselves how much time we wanted for hiking and other things. The ride to the Summer Palace provided a nice rest after the Wall. At the Palace, Selina gave us great information about the various spots there and led us capably through the crowds. We had some free time here as well to enjoy the views, get a cup of tea, or visit the temple. The drop-off point right in front of the subway station at the Olympic Park was perfect. After such a long day, we didn’t have the energy to walk to the Bird’s Nest, so being able to just catch the subway back to our hotel was great. Selina even came into the station to help some of our group get subway tickets for the first time. The tour description could’ve been clearer, though. The description says that the cable car and boat ride at the Summer Palace are not included, so I had purchased tickets online. Then it turned out that we could buy the tickets (plus tickets for a VR experience and lunch) from Selina on the bus.

We had a really interesting afternoon exploring the Summer Palace with William and a small group of other visitors. William sent us a picture of the pickup location to help find it and was responsive on WhatsApp. He was very knowledgeable with a lot of information on the various parts of the Summer Palace and the people that lived there. William also sorted the group transport to the Summer Palace and then on the return to a location from which we could get the Metro

Selina was an excellent tour guide. The only thing I would not recommend is the buffet lunch. The restaurant was dirty and the food very bad. We asked for a refund which Selina arranged immediately.

I went on a tour today of the Forbidden City and the Summer palace and I had a great time. Other than the crowds everything for the tour was well organized and thought out. Our tour guide for the Summer Palace Lulu was great and very knowledgeable about the history of the summer palace. We had a great overview of not just the Qing dynasty but a little bit about the Song as well. And I think it was very great :)

Me and my friends booked this tour and it was fantastic! We hade the guide Jackie shan and he was truly amazing and had great commentary for the diffrent places! Truly worth while!
