Overall, this was a decent tour, but there are a few things future travelers should know. The tour is advertised as a Chinese and English combo tour, but the vast majority of the guide's explanations were given in Chinese. English-speaking guests received only limited information, so if you're expecting detailed historical commentary in English, you may be disappointed. The guide was friendly, organized, and did their best to keep everything running smoothly. Due to heavy rains prior to our visit, the Ancient Great Wall section was closed. Instead, the tour gave us additional time at Badaling Great Wall, which actually worked out very well. Badaling is impressive, and the extra time allowed us to explore more of the wall without feeling rushed. One thing I would strongly caution against is the optional show. It felt like a tourist trap and was not worth the extra cost. The performance was entirely in Chinese, so non-Chinese speakers are unlikely to understand or enjoy it. In summary: nice guide, great experience at Badaling, but limited English commentary and skip the show if you don't speak Chinese.

I took this tour today with Evelyn as the guide. She was very welcoming and well organized. Actually, she contacted me through whatsapp two days before the tour reminding me about the basic things and giving additional helpful advice. She provided more info during the bus ride to make sure everyone feels comfortable. She took a very good care of the group, couldn't have done any better

The Great Wall was amazing, we took the route 14 to 20 and had a great experience. Liz from Busda was a very charismatic and organized guide. The price of the tour did not include the lift to the great wall, but we could buy it with the guide before we left the bus. The tour was seamless. I sincerely expected to pay less for the tour, but I think they delivered a lot of value for the money I paid. We stayed at the wall for more than 4 hours and it was more than enough to enjoy and take as many pictures as we wanted. Also the bus was new and clean.

This was our 2nd tour in Beijing and it was amazing. Our guide was Jackie Chan (English name after the actor) and he was very knowledgeable and very nice. He knew exactly what we wanted to do, and showed us some great spots around the wall. The summer palace was really beautiful as well.

The experience is good, we have plenty long time in great wall with cable car is a must not to waste your time. Mr Jacky Chan (our guide is very good), he speaks proper english, not perfect, but understandable. I will probably use this tour again in other time in beijing
We essentially overpaid just for transportation. A third-party company arranged the car, which created more confusion than if we had simply booked our own. We were under the impression we had paid for a private tour, only to be told later that we hadn’t — in the end, we just paid for someone to arrange a ride. The Great Wall itself was an incredible experience, but booking through Viator felt like a costly mistake and an unnecessary middle step. To make things worse, the company misinformed us, saying the only way down was by cable car or by walking all the way back, which turned out not to be true. Overall, we wish we had arranged the trip independently — it would have been cheaper, clearer, and far less frustrating.

The guide was very fun, this company is very convenient as they have multiple departures a day. Very honest and most competitive price. No forceful shopping, they only recommend a restaurant which is fine if you don’t want to (there aren’t many other choices anyway). Busda guaranteed 4 hours of free time on great wall and was flexible enough for tourists with special needs, and they can arrange them to earlier buses if they wanted to leave early. Highly recommended!
