This was a long but EPIC day. I only had one day on my layover so I wanted to cram as much in as possible. The tour was great. Linda met me on foot and the driver picked us up. This made it super easy as staying in hutongs can be difficult to figure out rides. Linda was knowledgeable and a pleasure to hang with. I feel like I have a friend in Beijing now. I would like to recommend Demi Deng, a tour guide in Beijing. A very knowledgeable guide, kind, patient, sympathetic, smiling, speaks good English. We did 3 days of tours with her, a group of 12 friends. We all really enjoyed her guidance, her great knowledge and her ability to please everyone.

We are had great time in Beijing especially for the first 2 days with Demi tour. Demi really explained details to us for every place that we visited. We took a full day tour to Ming tombs + Great Wall with Demi. 🤩🤩🤩. Her ability to revive the history preserved in the archeological site of the Ming tombs was amazing. We ended up with a fascineted time + thorough knoledge about Ming dainesty. She speaks very clear english and it's great fun to speak with her about daily life in China vs. your hometown. I highly recomend Demi and urge you to use her service if looking for a tour guide.

My two day tour was quite AMAZING! My guide, Alice, arrived both days at my hotel promptly on-time, was so friendly and professional. She arranged extra stops to the Olympic Stadium, post office and supermarket. This was money so well spent. I saw everything I was supposed to see and it was all done with a big smile! She adapted our daily schedule to traffic and crowds at activities, so we could make the most of our day and see as much as possible, without hassle. We are currently spending 5 days in Beijing and loving it! As experienced travellers, we thought we could get by by ourselves, but after reading the reviews and discussing with Demi, who was flexible and attentive, we decided to spend with her tow days: 1. We did the Beijing half day tour of Forbidden city and Temple of Heaven. Demi’s knowledge and demeanour were outstanding. She is very friendly and easy going which helps digest the vast amount of history surrounding this great city. She also managed to get us a great lunch at a local restaurant with local prices. The visit to the Great Wall with Demi fulfilled all my expectations. She made this bucket list experience a memorable, informative, and fun day. At the Great Wall, she was attentive to my pace and alert to the challenges of navigating the steep and/or narrow steps and towers. She was eager to point out favored vistas and take phone pictures of me as often as I wanted. Demi was very knowledgeable and shared her information and insights freely. As the day evolved, the narrations changed to conversations that were very engaging. This continued throughout the day as we moved on to the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was definitely more vast than I had anticipated. There was a lot of walking (bring plenty of water if it's a hot day) but Demi adjusted the pace so that it was doable and enjoyable. I found Demi to be funny, smart, and responsible. I felt extremely comfortable and safe with our car and driver for the trip to Mutianyu and around Beijing traffic. It was another aspect that contributed to a terrific day. Demi provided me with a fun, memorable day. I highly recommend her and this tour.

What an experience! Enjoyed our day with Demi. She has a wealth of knowledge and full of information. We rearranged our itinerary order. This to avoid the crowds, she’s knows the ins and outs to ensure we are not waiting too long in queues and avoiding the crowds. It is still Summer Vacation in China so it was quite busy. At all 3 we visited. She is very friendly and as soon as we hopped into our comfortable vehicle, she sets the mood for the entire experience ahead of us. Reccomend this tour! There is no reason to take the burden of making plans to see the sites when you have someone like Demi to hire as your private tour guide. I was visiting Beijing from the US to celebrate my birthday and I know I couldn’t do everything but wanted to make sure I did the top must see attractions. I did a search on TripAdvisor and read many reviews for private tours to the Great Wall and Forbidden City. I chose to go with Demi due to here past guest reviews and all 5 star ratings. I booked for a next day tour, Demi called me within the hour to confirm, we chatted a bit and set a time to meet up in the morning. The next morning she met me in my hotel lobby and off we went to the Great Wall! Booking Demi took the guess work out of transportation to and from, best times to go to beat the crowds, and maximized the time we had by being efficient and knowledgeable. Not only were we able to see the 2 major places on my list she also had time to take us to Taninaman Square! Fantastic tour. If you are going to hire a guide, you want information about the guide, not so much the tour. Our guide was beyond fantastic. I booked this tour about 18 months ago. Our guide, Demi, contacted me through whats app shortly after I booked it. She asked what we wanted to see. First time in Beijing for us so I asked for recommendations. She did that and then gave a list of hotels for us to stay at. We traveled by cruise ship to Tianjin by Cruise. Demi picked us up, took us to the Great Wall. Along the way was a great history lesson. We arrived and spent time at the wall. Demi booked a 4:30 show for the Chinese acrobats. The Great Wall had some great competition here. Super show. We spent the evening at a hotel and had an issue with our visa. Demi called the clerk and worked things out. The next day we started at 8 am. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Heavenly Temple. The guide makes all of the difference. This is the guide you want!

We had a limited time visiting Beijing and decided to go for a guided tour which we do not regret. Starting off we went to the forbidden city where Demi was very knowledgeable and led us through telling us everything we needed to know and more. After an interesting visit there we drove towards the great wall section of Mutianyu. Demi took us to a nice restaurant where we had a buffet style lunch which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Navigating the forbidden city and the great wall can be challenging if you don’t speak Mandarin but with Demi around it was no problem at all! Driver was good, and the car journey was overall comfortable. We had a day with Demi and would absolutely recommend everyone to do a guided tour with her!

Demi was a great guide. I've been traveling to China from the US over 50 time in the last 23 years doing business throughout the country and have communicated with several Chinese people who speak English. Demi is with the best of those who speak clear English and she understands it excellently as I spoke to her. She even understands and speaks the US social and cultural mannerisms. It was very fun to speak and listen to her, especially since she was extremely knowledgeble in the subjects she spoke about during our tour, really learned a lot, but really enjoyed communicating with her while doing so. She was a very good choice for being our guide.

Demi Deng is a friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable tour guide. We found Demi online and wrote to her. She quickly responded and was easy to communicate with also later on. Her English is excellent! Considering that it is extremely hard for foreigners to get around in China, we could not manage without her. She took us to the attractions in Beijing and around the city, and also to shopping. She took care of our transportation and took us to restaurants during the trips. Furthermore, she handled some unexpected events that we underwent very efficiently. We definitely warmly recommend Demi Dang as a tour guide in Beijing.

Demi was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. We were travelling with 11 people ranging from the ages of 13 to 84. We only had a full day in Beijing and decided to only visit the Forbidden City and Great Wall of China. She purchased our tickets in advance and explained to us the history of the Forbidden City. We asked for a quick over review and that is what she gave us since it was 0 degrees outside and windy. At the Mutianyu entrance of the Great Wall, she introduced us to a simple but delicious meal of noodle soups and dumplings. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We all took the chair lift up to the first tower of the Great Wall. Since we were traveling with older parents, she stayed with our parents at the 1st tower and rode down with them while the rest of the group explored the wall and took the toboggan down. The toboggan ride down was enjoyed by the adults and teenagers in our group. I would recommend taking the toboggan ride down. After our full day tour, Demi walked our group to our reserved restaurant which we would not have found without her.

Demi was fabulous. She met us at our hotel on time each day, and on the way to each site, she would give us the historical background and let us know exactly what to expect. The arrangement of the alpine sled ride down from the great wall was a real hi-lite even though it was so cold. She is knowledgeable and able to answer questions without hesitation. Her English is flawless, and she made great suggestions on what to do in the evenings and at downtimes. I would not hesitate to recommend Demi for anyone going to Beijing. She was especially gracious to suggest what we might want to see in other parts of the country even though she was not leading us.

We were in Beijing for just three days (visa free stopover) so decided to book a private tour as the most efficient way to see the sights in Beijing. We were so lucky to have Lucy as our guide for the three days as she was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We were met at the airport by Lucy who took us straight to the large, comfortable, air-conditioned car where we could simply put our luggage until we were dropped at our hotel later that afternoon. We went straight to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and Lucy was very patient with us (2 horribly jet-lagged 50 somethings and our 23-year old son) as we dithered over whether to take the cable car or the chair-lift. (We took the cable car in the end as it seemed the easiest option, given our level of exhaustion). The next two days were filled with all the essential sights - Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, The Lama Temple, Confucious Temple, the pandas at the zoo and a glimpse of the Olympic stadium. Lucy was able to find a way to enable me to visit the art museum while she took my husband and son to the Hutongs for a rickshaw ride. We were exhausted, but we felt as though we had really made the most of our limited time in the city. Lucy is a very experienced and professional tour guide, and she made visiting this incredibly busy and challenging city very easy for us. She advised us on the best (and worst!) places to use the bathroom, have lunch/dinner and was very solicitous, suggesting rest stops when it was clear that I was exhausted. She was always punctual with the driver every morning and was very enthusiastic about sharing her extensive knowledge about the culture and history of Beijing. Without Lucy and the tour we would only have been able to see a fraction of the city, and would have left with a much less rich experience. I cannot recommend highly enough.

we took a 2 days private tour with demi tour in beijing. it was the most fantastic tour that we had in 12 days in china. it started that we had a pick up with a big van (4 people) from the airport at night, and at the next morning he waited for us with an exelant lovely guide name nansi that took us to all the best places that beijing has to offer. the great wall, tienenman squar, forbbiden city and more, for 2 full exiting and full of chinies history in an amazing places. i must say that all the tour nansi (that works 18 years as a tour guide) explaned to us with a lot of paytion and with uge knoledge about china's history and every place we have been we where stoned. we recomend deeply to take demi tour for minimum 2 days (3 is better but we had no time) it will be the best private tour that you can have in beijing

I booked a two day tour with Demi while my visit to Beijing and it was incredible! The booking process was very smooth as Demi always responded to my inquires on a timely manner. She also was very acommodating on making a few changes to our itinerary and gave us advise on how to best utilize our time in Beijing. Demi's English is great, and each day we spent with her, she provided us with incredible historical background of the spots we were going to visit; this gave us better appreciation of the places we were visiting. On both days, she met us promptly at our hotel in a nice, ample vehicle. The driver was also super friendly and very skilled at navigating the streets in Beijing. We had lunch at the spots Demi recommended and both were great options. The pace of the tour was perfect! We didn't feel rush at all and, at the same time, we had ample time to cover all of what we had to see in the City. Demi is super friendly and engaging. Even after our tour day ended, she gave us excellent choices on how to explore the city at night. I am so glad we had her as our tour guide. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I would recommend hiring Demi for as many days as you are in Beijing to get the most of your trip.

My husband and I had a 1 day tour with Demi. We arranged to see Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of heaven and Houhai hutong. Demi was an excellent guide and we felt we made the best use of our limited time in Beijing by having her take us to these places as she was able to pick out the highlights and take us there directly. On our own we would've spent the whole day wondering around the Forbidden City as it is so big! Demi was very flexible about where to eat for lunch, when we wanted to eat, where to be dropped off etc. and we never felt rushed while visiting the sites. She was also able to recommended several restaurants to us when we asked her for good, local places to try out near our hotel. We got provided bottled water throughout the day. Although we found it fairly easy to travel around the city ourselves and go to the sites, we thought it was worth while getting a guide to tell us about the history of the places and life in China in general. I contacted a few private guides and Demi was always quick to respond and I thought her prices were more reasonable than others I was quoted. Demi was very organised and personable, and we enjoyed spending the day with her as our guide. The driver we had also did a great job. I would highly recommend Demi for a tour or Beijing.

We took the 3 days tour with Demi . We are experienced travelers, most of the time solo. Beijing, the maga-city and the attractions around needs another approach, therefore we chose to take a tour guide. Doing it with a group is possible however no flexibility, longer time in each point and they all spend your time in local markets were they get paid bringing you in. We found Demi in the internet and picked here relying on others recommendations. We can just say the same ! : she is very professional and quite knowledgeable, she is open minded, understands your mood and goes with you, she is smart, fluent in English and has great personality that gives you a good feeling from the first moment. Regarding pricing, she presents all the details very decently, no hidden expenses ! . She buys the tickets in advance , no standing in long lines. She recommends you the local good restaurants, not the fancy ones, all were excellent choice that we couldn't find by ourselves later on. She works with a private nice personality driver with a real good car. Excellent choice !

I highly recommend Demi for private tours in Beijing. She was very flexible and helpful during the tour. She speaks excellent English. We visited the Great Wall with her. She could tell us where the steep sections of the Great Wall were so we could plan which part of the wall we wanted to walk. We went up on the gondolas at watch tower 14. We then walked to watch tower 15 for more of a view of that part of the wall that goes up much higher. We then walked back to watch tower 14 and onto watch tower 6. While these sections of the wall were not as steep as some, they were strenuous enough for me. I took the chair lift down and my daughter took the toboggan down. My daughter also found this to be enough of a walk on the Great Wall. We spent 2 ½ to 3 hours on the wall. My daughter enjoyed the toboggan, however it seemed to be an issue that some people were frightened and went so slow that others backed up behind them so they could not enjoy the toboggan experience. If you would be one of these people, do others a favor and take the chair lift.

I am so glad to have chosen Demi as our guide when visiting Beijing. I emailed a few others I found here, but Demi was prompt at returning my emails, helping me understand how to fit in everything around my schedule and tailoring our experience. As our trip got closer, she kept in contact with me and took care of everything like tickets for us. I would be so completely lost without her! At the start of our tour, she met us at our cooking class with a private car. Our bag had been delayed and we were in need of proper walking shoes ASAP! Demi got us to a store so we could buy some. Way beyond what I expected. She thinks fast on her feet, able to change plans as the situation arises. This kept our time in Beijing full of experiences. Demi was super knowledgeable because we asked so many questions about the city, about culture, about history, about daily life. She knew everything! She gave us recommendations of what to watch when we returned home (by the way...thanks! We are loving "Empress in the Palace"). We were never rushed and Demi was so patient when we were winded on the Great Wall. She even helped us coordinate the car service to get us to the airport the next morning (and our driver walked us with our luggage right to our ticketing area). Travelling is stressful enough. Demi made everything easy for us here.

My wife and I had just 2 nights in Beijing prior to returning to the UK. Fortunately our daughter had previously been in Beijing, had used Demi and told us how fantastic she was. Prior to leaving the UK, I contacted Demi by email to arrange and confirm our tour and show tickets. Our experience with Demi was also fantastic, in the short time we had in Beijing we managed to complete everything on our wish list. On the night of our arrival Demi booked the best seats for the amazing Acrobat show, she accompanied us to the show in a private taxi waited for the show to finish and then escorted us back to our hotel in the same private taxi. The following day we visited the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall by private taxi. All the time we were with Demi, she was giving us a constant history lesson on Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and the many Emperors. Although we managed to see a lot in just one day, at no time we feel rushed or tired, the day just seemed to flow with no sense of urgency. Demi's English is excellent, she delivers 100 % on everything, she is punctual and makes you feel special. There is no better way to see Beijing, why be part of a large group struggling to hear the guide speak when you can have your own personal guide for less cost.
