Beijing Mutianyu Or Badaling Great Wall Private Tour With Options

Today’s tour was magnificent, much because our tour guide Angie was amazing. She has such a great personality, has such knowledge about China as a whole, and also takes excellent pictures throughout the day. Seeing and walking The Great Wall of China still feels like a dream but having such a great guide only made it better. Angie’s recommendation to leave at 6:30am from downtown Beijing was spot on and we beat the herds to the entrance and had the opportunity to take amazing pictures and video with very few people. Also doing the toboggan down was beyond fun and it is well worth the wait. I also have to thank Mr. B for his wonderful and safe driving throughout our day. I can’t recommend this tour enough for anyone looking for a wonderful private tour of the Great Wall. Book it now and don’t miss out.

Thomas was a great tour guide, he spoke English well and had a deep knowledge of the country, especially Beijing and the Great Wall of China. We had a great time and after our day trip he recommended some great local food spots for dinner and activities for the next day.

We had a private car pick up of the Great Wall. The driver Leo was amazing. He spoke English and helped us buy the chair lift tickets. Highly recommend the chair lifts up and down. He came with us and became our own personal tour guide and photographer and he sent us our photos. Very personalised and highly recommend Leo. Linda was very informative and provided a variety of options. Unfortunately we only had one day in China. We will return and will definitely contact Linda and Leo again.

We booked this tour that included the guide. Our guide was Oliver Lin and he was a great guide. He took us to the Mutianyu side and I think it was the best choice. As He drove us, he gave us history about the Great Wall and he walked us through the entrance and got us to the entrance of the wall. After that, we had all the time to explore the wall ourselves. Come prepared with questions, he will have all the answers. I definitely recommend this tour and location for your next adventure.

Incredible Southside Hike! Fantastic Photos by Jessica & Great Service by John!My wife and I had a wonderful day hiking the Badaling Southside to the 7th tower! Our driver, John, provided seamless hotel round-trips and kept us hydrated with refreshments. Our guide, Jessica, was amazing—she prepared us perfectly for the hike and took tons of fantastic photos of us on the trail. They made our trip completely stress-free. Highly recommend this team!

I recommend this tour for anyone wanting to view the Great Wall and not have to hassle with crowds or logistics. Yuehan met us at our hotel and spoke excellent English. From pick up to drop off, he was very personable and accommodating. It was nice riding in comfort. The car was clean and it was nice having bottled water and candies for the ride. Once there, Yuehan took care of all of the arrangements and got us on our way. He stayed with us at the first tower and took some nice pictures of my wife and I. The private service was totally worth it. The best way to see the Great Wall.

We had a great time with Linda's service and our driver. He was punctual in picking us up and he let us enjoy our time at the great wall with no rush. We loved having the private car which also allowed us to avoid the heat and crazy long bus lines. Driver's english was also great but regardless we had Linda to explain everything in perfect English also. Overall a worry free and comfortable experience.

Our guide Angie was awesome. Informative, friendly and engaging. Private car was enjoyable way to tour mutianyu Great Wall. The August heat was slightly more bearable in the early morning but it was very hot. Angie was also a great resource for ideas on what else to do during our visit in Beijing. We wrapped up our wall visit early because of the heat, Angie thoughtfully also took us to a tea tasting at a state-run store. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this tour, so so worth it! The exclusivity was unmatched. My guide picked me up from my hotel (car was clean and lovely), took me up to the wall, had great recommendations the entire time (especially with taking the lift up!), had great history to share, allowed me to walk as much as I pleased, took some photos of me on the wall to send to friends and family, and then took me back to my hotel directly! As someone who travels solo, it was so easy and stress free. I had to take a work call on the drive to the wall, and the guide was more than accommodating. I was so happy with my experience, and the guide was a pleasure to speak with the entire time, very personable. I plan on booking again with my boyfriend when we visit next!

Linda was an exceptional guide! From the moment we met, she made us feel genuinely welcome. She constantly checked in on us—asking if we had eaten breakfast or lunch, making sure we always had water and snacks, and even asking if we’d like to experience a traditional Chinese teahouse. When I mentioned I wanted to try authentic Chinese mooncakes, she went out of her way to help us find them at a local store. She also took us to hidden spots that only locals know about, which made the experience feel even more special. Linda shared fascinating stories about the Great Wall, Chinese history, and religion that brought everything to life. She made sure we had the best possible experience and even helped us purchase tickets for the toboggan ride down the Wall, which was so much fun! Above all, Linda was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and hospitable. Her kindness and attention to detail made our day unforgettable. I would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Beijing!

We had Jessica as our guide, and she was wonderful! She provided educational information in the car regarding the history of China and even a brief Chinese language lesson! Of course the Great Wall was amazing. She showed us the best spot for photos and provided more educational information. She took us to a tea ceremony on the way back. Probably the most stress free time we had in China. Most other places were super crowded but Linda helped us navigate the tickets and even took us to a tea house and restaurant for lunch. Mutianyu was gorgeous and Linda provided a lot of history and context to the Great Wall, and we avoided a lot of crowds.

My husband and I were traveling to Beijing for 48 to visit the Great Wall of China. We didn't want to wake up super early so we looked for a private driver/tour and found this gem. From the communication with Linda who organized everything smoothly for us to our very knowledgeable and chill driver Leo. I couldn’t recommend them more. We were so happy with everything.

Linda was an awesome guide! She was super knowledgeable about Beijing and the Great Wall. A perfect and easy way to see the Great Wall. We went early (left hotel at 6:30am) as suggested by the company and had the wall to ourselves when we arrived. It was a beautiful morning exploring the quiet wall. When we were leaving, the lines were long to enter. Our driver Mr. Wu was the best. He came and helped us buy the chairlift and tobaggan tickets. He even helped take some photos for us (we did not book a tour guide, only booked a driver). He went above and beyond to help us, was very friendly, and made the morning very easy for us. I’ll suggest this to my all my friends!

Thanks to our tour guide Linda, we had an incredible experience visiting the Great Wall. Linda is very professional, friendly and organized. She picked us up with her nice car and we enjoyed a lovely chat with her during the long car ride. She helped us getting tickets to get on the gondola without us fighting the long lines. She provided historical information while also giving us space to enjoy alone time as a family on the Wall but come in to take pictures for us at the most amazing photo spots.
