Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall Private Tour With Options

Was mostly just a private driver and guide for logistics. Didn’t have much in terms of information or education. Was also late and did not meet us at the hotel. Made us walk to the parking location. Great Wall was overpacked, difficult to walk, and hard to enjoy.

We had a private tour to Mutianyu with Jack. The trip was fabulous! Jack is a great driver and also a good host. He took us from the hotel on time, bought our cable car tickets in advance so we didn't need to queue (we asked for it after booking the tour). He also recommended a tea-tasting ceremony, which is a good introduction to Chinese tea for inexperienced drinkers. Altogether, a fantastic day out.

Travelled to Mutianyu with Mr Wu and had a fantastic day! We beat all of the crowds/traffic and I had the Great Wall to myself for the first part of the day. Would highly recommend!

Cannot recommend this tour and Linda enough! It was absolutely unbelievable. I went with my parents who are both in there 60s (I’m in my 20s) and they can’t stop raving about this tour. Linda made many recommendations before our trip including getting the Great Wall early and thank goodness she did. We were originally going to have this tour at 9am, then she recommended we go much earlier. Though the early start was difficult once we finished the Great Wall and was on our way back, we saw all the traffic that we could have been apart it. Linda was such an incredible tour guide, taking us to a jade museum, ordered lunch for us and took us to a secret shopping area. She even made a reservation and gave us all the information needed for our upcoming dinner at a nice Beijing restaurant. You will be thanking your lucky stars that you picked her by the end. Thank you so much Linda for everything!

Everything was great from the early communication with Linda before arriving to China to Yuehan who was an excellent driver. Pick up at PEK was seamless and drove straight to wall for when I opened at 07:30. He went above and beyond helping with my chair cable ticket and taking some pictures when first up there. Would highly recommend to anyone in Beijing!!

Yuehan was absolutely fantastic he was there when I arrived with a sign and got straight on the road and ended up being at the wall for when it opened at 07:30. He then went above and beyond showing me around and taking some pictures would highly recommend booking this as it gives you flexibility!

We really enjoyed the experience! Yuehan was very punctual, kind, and helpful. He shared a lot of interesting knowledge with us and took us to the Great Wall. Once we arrived, he accompanied us all the way until we were inside, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The car was very clean, and Yuehan was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the whole experience. We felt very comfortable with him. It was definitely worth booking this experience. Everything was perfect! Linda coordinated with us. She was very responsive. Our driver, Davis, was the best. He kept us entertained and provided lots of information. Davis speaks pretty good English, even though he says he doesn’t. He drove us all the way up near the entrance, so we bypassed the bus ride up. He had all the tickets ready for us and gave us directions on how to get around. After we finished, he was waiting for us where he said he would be. Then on the way back, he stopped to buy us some tea drinks. Also, he picked us up in a nice, spacious and clean minivan. The whole experience was flawless.

Great tour with our guide Linda. She was very knowledgeable and guided us very quickly up the wall using the chairlift. On the way back we stopped to have a tea ceremony, looked at jade and silk. Everything is optional and no need to buy something. She even stopped on the way back at another store at our request. Great day to spend at the wall

Great trip and Yeuhan was excellent. Pick up on time and chatted as we drove in a lovely AC car. He brought us up the wall and took some great photos and video. We stayed about 3 hours on the Great Wall and Yeuhan was waiting for us at the bottom. We could have stayed a bit longer or had food and it was no problem for Yeuhan but we had to go to another spot in Beijing. The crowds as we left were huge so getting there early was so we worth it and our photos just have us on the wall instead of hundreds of people so worth the money!

Leo is an absolute legend. The whole drive was smooth and relaxed. He came up onto the Wall with me and shared all sorts of stories about China along the way. We hiked out to Tower 23 together and back, and then he kindly waited for me at the base of the cable car station while I did the second walk over to Tower 6 and back. On the drive home we chatted about the gorgeous scenery, and he even taught me a bit of Chinese. Xiexie Leo!

This tour was an excellent overall experience, from the easy booking process and smooth communication with the tour operator to the well-organised day itself. Our driver, Davis, arrived at our hotel ahead of the scheduled pickup time. His English was very good, and we had no difficulty communicating throughout the tour. All entrance passes and tickets were organised for us in advance, which made the experience very convenient and stress-free. Davis drove us as close as possible to the entrance gates, meaning there was very little walking required and, importantly, we did not have to queue for the shuttle buses. We were given plenty of time to explore the Great Wall at our own pace before returning to the hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Overall, this was a well-organised and enjoyable tour, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and hassle-free experience.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Linda made the booking process so easy and was super helpful. The Wall is a must see and Rose really knows lots of information and gives great advice to make your trip really fun ! Linda was amazing. She guided us on the best time to visit, was prompt with pick up at our hotel, provided some brief history of the wall, and, most importantly, helped us quickly navigate the wall entrance and tickets so we weren’t wandering around trying to figure it out on our own. Thanks to her we missed the crowds and could really enjoy the views. Five stars for sure!

Thanks to our guide’s extensive knowledge and kind support, we had a truly enjoyable and rewarding tour. Although we visited during the busy summer season, the departure time and other arrangements were carefully adjusted, allowing us to enjoy a smooth and stress-free sightseeing experience!

Our driver Bruce was absolutely amazing. He was early on pickup, brought us directly to the entrance, and then sat outside waiting for us to finish. He spoke great English and was very pleasant on our drive. We also booked our tour very last minute (the night before), so I was very impressed on how well they could accommodate us. It was one of the highlights of our trip to China. From the very first message, Linda was incredibly responsive, clear, and helpful with all the details and options. Linda our driver/guide arrived right on time at our hotel, the vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the whole day felt relaxed and private no rushing, just exactly what we wanted. Mutianyu itself was stunning (far less crowded than we expected), and having the flexibility with the options made a big difference. Great experience, wonderful guide

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We travelled with our two children, aged 6 and 3, and had a wonderful experience. Our driver, Fred, was friendly, kind, and always on time. He made travelling around Beijing easy and stress-free. Travelling with young children can be difficult, but Fred made everything smooth and comfortable for us. This service is highly recommended for families and travellers with young children. We would definitely use this service again whenever we're in Beijing. If you are thinking of visiting The Wall from Beijing then this is the trip for you. Davis our driver was brilliant and advised us the best ( and quickest) way to get the most out of the time we had ( which was ample) . We took the cable car and walked 4 towers on the wall from gate 14 . It is a once in a lifetime experience . We then went for a buffet lunch with freshly made dumplings ( we had a choice of flavours) which was hot plentiful and varied. The car was clean roomy and very comfortable and most importantly today air conditioned! Davis is a great driver too, given the traffic around Beijing. We had to move the date of our trip twice due to wet weather and Linda was fantastic at communicating and accommodating these changes. Go on give this a go … you know you want to!

Brilliant experience from start to finish. All travel and entry tickets were timely and organised which took the stress out of a hot day , the day trip was an early start which was correctly advised as we finished our tour as huge queues built up , and the weather became too hot Our driver Davis was impeccable and patient and ensured all day we were fed and watered Would definately book if visiting from UK

The driver, Rose, was amazing. She was waiting for us in the very early morning in the hotel lobby, got the tickets for us and took amazing and beautiful pictures. The car was very comfortable with bottles of water prepared for my whole family. The communication was perfect both ways: via messages in the communicator and in the car, as Rose uses clear and smooth English. This is a very good but tiring tour, be prepared to walk a lot. My guide, Jessica is a very knowledgeable person. She explained everything and oriented me what to see. 5 stars for her too. The program,the transportation and the buffet lunch were excellent. Try this tour if you have time for it.

It was a last-minute booking, however Linda picked and drove me herself, due to unavailability of drivers due to the short notice. She speaks English well and is very informative. I am grateful, and because of her i managed to see the great wall before i leave China.
