Incredible experience, best call we made over our entire trip. Jenny, our guide was so kind, helpful and interesting, she made everything so enjoyable. The Wall itself is amazing and the slide down was a blast! Would highly recommend!

It was a very smooth experience and a great tour to the Great Wall. Our tour guide Lina was very sweet and knowledgeable.

If you do this tour, make sure to go with William. Our arrival experience into Beijing airport was very rough, but the moment we met up with our guide William, our experience went from 0/10- 100/10. We were held up in customs for over 2 hours and the airport wifi didn’t work so we couldn’t communicate with our guide that we were running late. Once we finally were able to exit, we were so worried we missed our tour, but William was right up front with a sign for us. He waited the whole time! From the moment we were greeted until the moment we were dropped back off, easily became the highlight of our 3 week trip. William is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He treated us like VVVIP and helped us skip all the lines. He catered every moment to exactly what we were looking for. He hurried through the tedious parts of the tour to make sure we had as much time as we wanted in the fun parts. Every detail of his service was exceptional and I can’t say enough great things. If you’re lucky enough to have time for lunch/dinner, let him take you to his local dining spot for some incredible food. He recommended several items I would not normally have ordered, but they all were easily my favorite items of my entire trip. If you have a long layover in Beijing, this is an absolute MUST and don’t forget to request William.

We booked this tour to see the Great Wall of China during our 1-day trip to Beijing. While we initially had some problems with the pickup times due to a small error by the organizers, they quickly resolved the issue when we contacted them. As compensation they bought us lunch, which we appreciated. While the guide we choose didn’t speak a lot of english, he was very helpful & kind, and with the help of Google Translate it worked out quite well. We can recommend!

Awesome Experience. BLT customised my tour to my specifications perfectly. On my layover I got to experience the Pandas at Beijing Zoo and visit the Great Wall. It was freezing cold in Beijing so few other tourists about meant no waiting times. I would recommend BLT to anyone considering maximising their layour time from Beijing Capital airport.

This tour was a fun way to see the Great Wall of China during a layover! Tony, my driver and guide, was very friendly, informative, and reliable. Absolutely exceptional. We were met at the airport and taken to the nice car. We were driven to the Great Wall and guided through the gates and the tickets were bought for us. We did the cable car up and were guided through sections and told about the history. Our guide waited whilst we walked up further sections. We then got the toboggan down. We asked our guide to take us to a local place for lunch which he did and it was delicious. We were then driven back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Highly recommend.

We had a great tour with Tony. We met in the airport right on time and managed to reach the Great wall early in the morning to be able to see it without people. Thanks a lot and we can only recommend him!

Trip was a gift, which required a final payment on the day. Sadly I didn’t know about this and this had a negative effect on the trip with constant reminders throughout the day. (This was sorted by an easy transfer). Then constant discussions on the tip. (Despite the USd250 one day tour fee!). Tour guide Jackson was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and easy to get along with. Driver Wang was very professional and courteous.

Tour guide never showed up! Called him and he had no idea about the tour running..? What kind of travel website and tour operator, can not provide their essestial service. So so poor. Completely ruin my trip to bejing and dream of going to the great wall 😔

First, I want to give credit to William, our guide. He was a wonderful guide. We learned so much from him and he was overly kind and helpful to us. We enjoyed our time along the wall so very much. It was a great experience. We were all hungry by the end and he brought us to a great place to get dumplings, which were delicious. We made it to the airport with enough time to check-in and relax before our flight. The airport can be hectic and confusing to newcomers, so he took the time to make sure we ended up in the right place to check-in, which was above and beyond what we expected. If you have a day to spend in Beijing, you will not regret booking a tour with this group. In fact, we would do it again!

Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough! The guide is very professional and takes care of every single detail. The additional warm clothing provided was much needed! His friendliness and complete historical background information (in highly skilled English) made this a very pleasant experience. Loved our short trip to Great Wall of China guided by William. It was a very pleasing experience and very smooth. Will picked us up at Starbucks and gave us water and snacks and beer and took us to Great Wall. He guided us via cable car and back via slide called Tobogan. He also took lot of pictures of us and with us. We enjoyed every moment of it. I would definitely recommend each of my friends to hire this tour guide.

We had an 8 hour layover in Beijing & decided to book this trip last minute the night before. Willy was super accommodating and was able to provide us with all of the information we needed quickly. Our initial flight into Beijing was also delayed, but Willy still planned everything out perfectly so we still had ample time to do the tour and be back at the airport. Water bottles and snacks were provided in the car, so this was super nice! In addition, Willy is so awesome! He's a great English speaking guide and overall just an interesting and knowledgeable person. He was able to answer all of our questions and I feel like I learned a lot about Chinese history and culture. It was also freezing in Beijing, but thankfully Willy had jackets for us to wear! He's also a great photographer and took lots of photos for us. He even made a short video with all of our pictures. This tour was definitely worth it!! Not only were we able to sneak in one more amazing site before heading home, but we also learned a lot too!

I had almost a 15h layover at Beijing so I was looking for something nice to do with my time. The guys at "Layover Tours Beijing" were quite reactive to answer back given that I asked them with really short notice (like the day before) if they were available to organize something. They provided me with an English speaking guide, William. I actually landed at the new Daxing airport, and my connection flight later that day was at the old capital airport. William was kind enough to come pick me up directly at the Daxing airport and later dropped me off at the old one. He drove me to Mutianyu to see the great Wall, got some really great pictures! The guide was really cool and we had some interesting conversations during the drive to get there (about 1h45m). Fully recommend this experience if you have a long layover at Beijing!

I am a solo traveler female and had a long layover in Beijing and I hired this company for a tour at the Great Wall. Jonny picked me up at my hotel around 7am since I arrived in Beijing at 1am from Japan and had to go back to New York by lunch. It was a short tour but he was able to show me the Great Wall and took very nice pictures he walked me back to airport left me on the line if my airlines for me to check my bags. He was very nice, offered me water and was very kind. Spoke good English! I highly recommend Jonny and this company. I had a great time.

I highly recommend this tour! My boyfriend and I had a 14hr layover in Beijing and booked this online. Willy, the tour guide, speaks great English, is very friendly and genuine and does all he can to make the experience perfect for you. He is very knowledgeable and willing to answer all your questions. At the Wall, he gave us an overview and then allowed us free time. He also took some great photos for us. On the way back to the airport from the Great Wall with some extra time, Willy took us to a local restaurant that had amazing food. This tour was very easy to book and we had clear instructions on what to do after landing in Beijing. We arrived back to the airport with plenty of time before our flight home. Overall, we loved it and it was a great experience. You should definitely book this tour if you want to see the Great Wall of China during a layover in Beijing!

My husband and I went to the Great Wall of China during our layover in Beijing. Willie was an amazing tour guide! He was a lot of fun, super nice and most of all, made our Beijing experience great! He spoke very fluent English and took a ton of pictures of us. He even put a short clip together if our pictures with music. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! He has definitely set the limit high for other tour guides!

Absolutely loved this tour! It was so fun and easy. I learned about China's history, was able to see the Great Wall and got back to the airport in plenty of time. Highly recommend if you have a few hours to spare during a layover.

Jenny did a good job and served us well. On time at the airport and had a nice car. Unfortuantely because of a traffic accident we didnæt have the time go inside the summer palace, but it was not their fault.

If you’re debating on booking this tour stop debating and do it now! Johnny was my tour guide and he was amazing. Kind, polite, and informative. He also encouraged me to take lots of pics and even knew all the best spots to get some good shots. We did the toboggan slide back down which was surprisingly thrilling and not at all scary. Over all I would recommend it. It’s worth it and very convenient.

Had the most amazing time with William! He was punctual, professional and loads of fun. I learned so much about the Chinese culture and what Beijing is all about. I highly suggest this tour company and William (my personal photographer for the day).

I booked last minute because I didn't want to sit in the Beijing airport for 9 hours and really wanted to see the Great Wall. I travel solo most of the time and didn't want to navigate the city or anything on my own, my Mandarin is terrible like I think I told everyone "I need to go to the bathroom" instead of "Thank You" terrible, so I thought this was worth a shot. Jonny was AWESOME! I had an early pick-up, he took care of EVERYTHING, even didn't mind me napping in the car after my red-eye. Once we made it to the Wall he knew his way around - seemed like he actually knew everyone there, and we explored with ease. Jonny provided all the history and info I needed and knew the best photo spots. Then we zoomed down the hill and back to the airport in perfect time. Wish I had more time in Beijing, but this totally hit the spot.

We recently climb to Mount Fuji and had a layover in Beijing back to Chicago. Book a tour of the great wall and couldn't be happier. Add an English-speaking guide which helped out a lot. Would highly recommend if you have a layover in Beijing and want to see the Great Wall

We had the best time with Willy Du as our tour guide to see the Great Wall of China on our 8-hour layover in Beijing. This was the first time either of us did something like this (and on very little sleep!!) and it went flawlessly! The only minor hold up we encountered was acquiring a 24-hour Visa to leave the Beijing airport for the day...it took way longer than expected, as it was a guessing game at some point and not so organized, in our opinion. We stressed a little about meeting our tour guide because we got delayed with that and we did not have phone service but he was still there waiting! Yay! We met our tour guide, Willy, at a coffee shop in the airport and he took us straight to his car, which was very nice (had water waiting for us & snacks), and on to the Great Wall! Willy was very knowledgeable and made us laugh a lot, and his English was very good. We made a stop in this small village to try dumplings for the first time on the way to the wall. Cool cultural experience. We went early in the morning with hardly anyone there, which was amazing!!! It was frigid temperatures outside and we were not fully prepared, as we were flying to Thailand & had mostly light clothing. Willy provided us with super warm jackets, as a sweatshirt, dollar store socks, & a beanie do not cut it haha. We took a chairlift up to the wall and began our tour of the Great Wall with WIlly. We walked a portion from the Ming Dynasty, in which he knew a lot about the history, different sections of the wall, watchtowers, etc. He also gave us our time alone to wander along the wall and take it all in. Incredible views and such an incredible (and once in a lifetime) experience being there. Willy Du was such a fun and kind tour guide who provided us with lots of pictures and videos (he taught us how to say, "you're handsome and you're beautiful" in Mandarin and filmed us on the wall trying to be cute with one another). Another highlight at the Great Wall was our exit down the mountain...we opted to toboggan down!!! Such a thrilling and chilly way to end our amazing time there. Willy hooked us up at the end with some authentic gifts for our travels (Thanks Willy!!!) and was cool enough to sign my backpack and write The Great Wall in Mandarin. Woohoo!! We made our connecting flight to Thailand with no issues at all and Willy made sure we knew where to go at the airport and that we were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in China and conversing with Willy. Would recommend this company over and over again!!! Totally worth it. Thanks again Willy, you're awesome!!!! We'd love to come back. Please come to the States one day and we'll show ya around!!! :D

Johnathon was Great! Very efficient and organized! We had an 8 hour layover and Johnathon got us out of the airport up to the great wall, down again and back to the airport with time to spare. It was fast and it was worth it! So happy we maximized our layover and saw one of the 7 wonders of the world, the great wall!

We had the most amazing Great Wall tour with Jenny. She is a great guide and invited us for dumplings at her home aferwards.. A beautiful memorable day in China! Reccomended

Jenny met us on time at the airport and took us to breakfast and then the Mutainyu Great Wall. She knew information on everything from the festival of the day, to the food, to the trees we passed. She picked up on the fact that Mama likes to have a lot of pictures and joined in with a lot of shutter clicking. She was easy to talk to and we enjoyed having her as a member of the group as well as a guide. I'd definitely go again!

William was an awesome tour guide, spoke great English, and helped me learn about the history and culture of China

We had a 11 hour layover at Beijing airport on our way from London to Hanoi (Vietnam) and wanted to make the most of our time. Even arriving at 2pm, we had ample time for a one-in-a-lifetime trip to the Great Wall. Our driver was highly knowledgeable and took us to an area of the wall with very few other tourists, we practically had sections to ourselves! We spent 2-3 hours hiking along the Wall, and found the whole experience amazing. Our guide initially accompanied us right to the hill, assisting with tickets, finding the right shuttle bus, and navigating the cable car (note: you need to choose EITHER cable car OR toboggan, they are operated by different companies.. we had originally thought we could do both). After this, our guide waited at the bottom of the cable car to greet us at an agreed time, and returned us to the airport safely with plenty of time to spare before our flight. All in all, I couldn’t recommend this anymore if I tried! A MUST for anyone with a long layover in Beijing.

Overall great experience! The trip to the Great Wall was seamless from the airport. The driver was very helpful. It took a few minutes to find the pickup spot due to not knowing a good contact number but once I did find the pickup spot, it was a very easy and fun experience.

Tour went without a hitch. Tour guide was where he said he would be. Had plenty of time to see the Great Wall and back to catch flight. I would recommend to anyone who has a long long layover. Only negatives were the lineups to get 24 hour visa and the warm water.

Since I had a 12 hour lay-over, Jack was kind enough to make it a full day trip for a small additional fee, so we included the Summer Palace in our trip. He gave detailed explanations of the places and even recommended really good street food. Plus, he’s a good photographer too! We talked a lot during the trip and I was so inspired by his story. What can I say ?? I had an Amazing time visiting the Great Wall !!! Our tour guide Will was excellent! He was responsive communicated with me through WhatsApp when I found out our flight would be delayed...the ride there was smooth ... he provided water and some humor along the way😊. Once we arrived he purchased the entry tickets we went on the lift up and toboggan slide down ( which was super fun!) we got tons of pictures ... the location we were at was not crowded at all and made for ease of walking. I would definitely recommend this layover tour!! And ask for Will !!!!

Y’all this is my first time traveling solo and I couldn’t be happier with my amazing tour guy I got. William was just amazing, he made me feel very welcome and we had cool conversations. Our (with my wife Kona) driver cum English speaking guide Mr. William Du picked us very timely at 5:45 AM from hotel Novotel near Tiananmen Square. After short early morning visit to Forbidden city, headed to Great Wall. Enjoying early March morning tour to Mutianyu Great Wall, we returned timely to the Beijing capital airport on the way to Montreal. Mr. William is very nice, punctual, responsible and well behaved gentleman. For my next visit (if), I will certainly prefer to get service from William. Thanks William.

Myself and Barbara were picked up promptly at 6:00am at Beijing Airport by Jack our tour guide and taken to the Great Wall in a very comfortable car Jack spoke very good English and was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about The Great Wall as well as being happy to answer any questions we asked about China At the Great Wall itself after taking the cable car up to the wall as we were limited for time, and after a briefing by Jack on the wall, we were left to ourselves to explore the wall and then after about an hour and a toboggan ride back to the start we were taken back to Beijing Airport by Jack in plenty of time to catch our plane back to the UK I would thoroughly recommend this company and if you have a long layover at Beijing definitely go to The Great Wall as it was well worth the effort and saves sitting around getting bored doing nothing in Beijing Airport

Instead of sitting in the airport for 8 hours we were able to get out and see the Great Wall of China!! How amazing! Our guide (William) spoke great English and was very helpful getting to and from the Wall on time to catch our flight! I may never be back to China so this was a great way to see something I may have never seen or ever see again! There is quite a bit of strenuous walking so be prepared for that. We went during winter (very cold) and coats were even provided! I highly recommend this experience!

This trip or layover is amazing experience. The driver/guide John is also great. We where picked up from the airport and I told John that we are craving for Chinese food. So he drove us to a small restaurant and I let him order for us. The food taste was way different it was better from the Chinese food we ate here in California. The Van was very clean and he drove it like we are his family. He help my sister in-law going up and down to The Great Wall. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended.

My husband and I had a 20 hour layover in China, so we booked a tour of the great wall through Layover Tours. Our driver was extremely prompt, polite, and easy to work with. Instructions were really clear, and we had no trouble finding him when we exited the terminal. The drive to the Great Wall went by much quicker than I expected, and when we got there, our driver gave us the details on ways to get to the wall, where our meeting point would be, and also had a selfie stick for us to use during our tour! All in all, a great experience and highly recommended.
