Beijing Day Tour To Forbidden City And Badaling Great Wall

We really enjoyed the tour with our guide Helen. Tiananamen Square and the Forbidden Coty were incredible and we learned loads from Helen who was great :)

Michael was an excellent tour guide. He provided so much information about the historic context and cultural significance of the buildings and features around Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. He also gave us a recommendation for dinner that was delicious. We would highly recommend this tour.

Very rushed. Our tour guide Michael kept running off had to race to keep up. We had limited opportunities to look around. Tiananmen square he gave us an overview of why communism is great and so is Stalin's year plan. Then we had 20 miinutes to run around the square on our own while he waited for us to come back. In the Forbidden city, he kept running off and then getting annoyed that we couldn't keep up because we were trying to look around. Thankfully, we didn't include the great wall part of the tour so we left the group and had the opportunity to explore the Forbidden city on our own and redo all the areas Michael made us rush through. This tour was a waste of money. Very little was said about the places we visited.

Michael Ren was an awesome tour guide who was both enthusiastic and kind. He provided us with lots of historical knowledge and made the tour very enjoyable.

The experience was worth while. Our guide Judy Li was very engaging and easy to understand. My only advice is prepare for a long walk.

Our guide, Helen, was experienced and knowledgeable, warm and friendly, and goes out of her way to make the short 3+ hour absolutely packed with interesting things + bringing us through the absolute essentials of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. For the amount paid, this is definitely worth it - much better than any AI generated itinerary. Speaks fluent English, code switches between Chinese and English if she knows you understand. Knows where the crowds are, and brings you through the tour-guide-only shortcuts, allowing us to skip through majority of the queue and avoid the dangerous icy slippery areas, and helped us take awesome photos as well! Warm and friendly, our "Helen's family" had a great time :)

Helen had a wealth of knowledge about the Forbidden City. She knew all the spots to get the views that were away from the crowds. The interpretation was helpful to understand the cultural significance of the site. After the half day tour we spent the rest of the day exploring the other areas of the palace which have many great displays of cultural artifacts.

We only had one day in Beijing, and this tour was the best way to spend it. Helen is knowledgeable, helpful, and knows the systems well to ensure you have the best experience at each destination. Need time to queue for security check when visiting Tiananmen Square and forbidden city but our guide Ms.Helen did well.Forbidden city should be the biggest palace open to public to visit, Must go when you visit Beijing.

A really fun experience that took us to the highlights of Beijing. Helen was very knowledgeable and a great guide throughout the journey. Advice for future travelers is to take the chairlift up to the Great Wall. It definitely makes climbing the wall itself much easier.

The tour included a tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. I couldn't fault the guide's English proficiency. The idea of ​​providing the group with headphones was excellent. However, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the tour. Very little time was spent on Tiananmen Square, which was seen in too much of a rush, and time was wasted on pointless group photos when it could have been spent seeing the area properly. The Forbidden City was also rushed through, with even more time wasted on pointless photos. The result was that we walked quickly, seeing little or nothing, only to find out later that the rush was due to the tour continuing to the Great Wall. Those who weren't going to the Great Wall had to endure a rushed visit. A waste of money.

We had a wonderful trip with Helen! She was incredibly knowledgeable and made our visit to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square so interesting and enjoyable. Her expertise and stories brought the history to life. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant near the Great Wall before taking the chair lift up and the toboggan down, such a fun and memorable experience! Exploring the Great Wall was absolutely amazing, and Helen made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. We booked this tour super late and they were still able to accommodate us. We were also very late going to the meeting point but our tour guide, Rocky was very patient, helpful and waited for us. The line for the entrance for Tiananman square was so crowded and long but we got in after security and everything in an 1 hr & 30 mins. Rocky really did a great job getting us in quickly. He guided us through the Forbidden city while telling us about the history of this amazing place. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. He even took some nice pictures of us and sent it to us after the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour and Rocky to everyone.

With the golden week celebrations it was especially crowded and Helen was able to expertly guide us through the sights and avoid the crowds as best as possible while giving useful information about them.
