The rooms, well my window leaked when it rained, the AC couldn't get the room below about 24, no plug sockets, two lamps not working, food.... Oh god. On a rare day they would have something good but most days they just had an awful selection of western stuff. I mean, potato wedges that have been sitting for 4 hours and are dryer than the Sahara. I've just resorted to ordering McDonald's, at least it will be edible. Honestly the breakfast here just makes me want to cry.
I enjoyed staying at the Marriott Renaissance, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the in-hotel restaurant/breakfast was great in selection and service. My only point of complaint is the smell of smoke that lingers in the hallway and lobby area. I was assured that this is a smoke-free hotel at the time of reservation, however during several points of my stay I saw cigarette buds on the lobby floor.
Highly professional staff, well equipped rooms, continental breakfast is not provided but non-chinese people can manage with eggs,bread, butter, jam, etc.
