Excellent hotel in a very convenient location in Beijing. The Kempinski is modern, elegant, and comfortable, with everything you would expect from a high-quality international hotel. One of the things I particularly enjoyed is the beautiful walking area along the nearby river promenade. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around, making it very pleasant to go for an evening walk, have dinner, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. The location is also convenient for travelling to and from Beijing Capital International Airport. Breakfast deserves a special mention, excellent quality, a great selection, and a perfect way to start the day. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a hotel I would gladly choose again when visiting Beijing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ok, here an honest review. I booked a room in the executive suites with access to a "lounge". So, the executive room offer is kind of trash, the rooms are mediocre, seems like it was a good hotel 10 years ago. The lounge offers canapes only from 6-8 you only get access to 1 glass of wine per guest per day with Chinese canapes that where finger food that was mediocre at best. The pool- outdated but nice to have in the hot months, however in china a "swim cap" IS REQUIRED! so be prepared to bring one or buy one because its required. The hotel is in an OPTIMAL LOCATION, that is why I gave it a 3 star rather than a 2. The breakfast buffet has what you need, but for $20 canadian i think your better off going to a cafe or Starbucks. Not much western offerings but just enough to suffice. My final opinion- If your staying at this hotel book a regular room, dont opt for the executive service. The beds are comfortable, so the hotel suffices. Google doesn't operate well and the location is simpler than what google sends you too, the hotel is in a totally diffrent location- my advice- look up and find the hotel/building that sais "JING LING" Thats your go too. The location you cant beat, so if you find a good deal on rooms without the executive offering - thats your go too. Hope those helps, enjoy ypur stay!
The good: very nice rooms with a very luxurious bathroom. Everything is clean, modern and high quality. A coffee pod machine would be nice, but these are a rarity in Chinesehotels. It's also an easy drive to the airport or to the sites around Beijing. The mediocre: Everything food related. Beijing is a foodie city, so don’t waste your time and money here. Breakfast is way too expensive and the quality is not great. Better to walk the extra 50 metres and go to the nearby Jamaica Blue cafe. The bad: The dim sum buffet is truly awful. AC is not strong enough and can't be adjusted. The biggest fail is the awful wifi. I suspect the hotel actively blocks VPNs. They may work for a bit, but not for long. How an international hotel has the nerve to do that is beyond me.
A lovely hotel but does not quite reflect a luxury brand in terms of room amenities. Towels and rugs does not have the plush feel. Bathrobes had frayed edges. Even the bedroom slippers are of disposable quality. However, service was great. Concierge (George) was extremely helpful. He assisted us with bookings to tiannemen square as our foreign number phone was incompatible for bookings via WeChat. Service staff (Rain) was friendly and attentive too.
Hotel itself is fine but the air conditioning is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Couldn’t cool my room off, when they sent maintenance I was told to just open my window as the air conditioning isn’t very strong. Room was so hot it was difficult to sleep
