Checked in at 9pm. Lone guy at front desk. This is the very first time that I was not even greeted at the check in counter. Wow! Unexpected tarnished the Intercontinental group image. He was rude could not speak English and snatched my passports when he asked in a demanding tone. He also wanted to charge me for the lounge access when I have the annual lounge access. I don’t care if it is issue with language because if a big hotel chain cannot sort that out it will just bring down the name. This is my first day review and couldn’t wait longer to do so. Absolutely appalling. Overall a 3 star hotel to me. Will never ever return to this property
Hotel was Great, staffs were friendly, breakfast selection was great too. Only downside is the AC and heater in the hotel was centralized, so it's difficult to get the correct temperature that you desire.
This hotel gave our family a truly happy and memorable trip. The location and facilities are perfect, but what impressed us the most was the hospitality of the staff. We were especially touched by Eric’s kindness—my father was truly moved by it. We hope this hotel continues to thrive and succeed. 😊
InterContinental is a global hotel chain, and I have stayed at its properties in several different countries. During my recent stay in Dalian, China, I experienced discomfort in several aspects.
First, it was almost impossible to communicate in English with the staff.
Second, every morning when I went down for breakfast, it felt less like a hotel restaurant and more like a busy marketplace. It was noisy—not only because of the guests, but the staff as well.
Perhaps my expectations for hotel service were too high?
The hotel is luxurious. Fitness centre is equipped very good and is like a gym for professionals. Spacy rooms. Well designed working desk. Very comfortable bed. Very clean and spacy bathroom full of amenities renewed daily. Excellent restaurants with local and international options and prices are attractive. Fantastic city landscape view from restaurant terrace. Friendly and supportive stuff 24/7.
