The scenery and service were great, but they made a serious billing mistake. We had already paid online, yet they charged our credit card again for three nights when taking the deposit.
We only noticed it later and were told the refund could take up to seven business days. Since we were only in Dalian for four days, this caused a lot of unnecessary stress and affected our trip.
The manager later offered an Executive Room upgrade and lounge access as compensation, but I still feel this was not an appropriate response to such a serious double charge.

The Grand Hyatt Dalian is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Our room was modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with a stunning view of the Yellow Sea and the Changhai Cross-Sea Bridge.
The hotel is perfectly situated, just steps away from Xinghai Park, Binhai Road, and the Dalian Xinghai Aquarium, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Great location and service at this hotel. We spent 7 days at the hotel including the New Year eve. Great view from the room to the XingHai Square and the ocean. The restaurant at the 47th floor is highly recommended with Dalian local seafood dishes. Overall, great experience and friendly staffs.
A really nice property, great location, attentive and friendly service.
The one main thing we had problems with was the air-conditioning in the room. It just wasn't adequate to provide any cooling. We had them come several times to check but each time they said it was operating fine, even though it was between 23 and 25 degrees inside when set on 16. It made it difficult to sleep.
