I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and felt very comfortable both times. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach and close to attractions, nice restaurants, supermarkets, spas, and even ATMs. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with very good cleaning and room service. Breakfast is a highlight, offering plenty of options, especially for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. A great place to stay overall!
I stayed at this hotel for business purposes in early March. The building appears to have been constructed about 20 years ago, and unfortunately, it has not been well maintained. The aging facilities are quite noticeable.
One major inconvenience was the shower. It took about 2–3 minutes for hot water to come through after turning it on. As for the room temperature, it was manageable with the heater running. However, the breakfast buffet restaurant on the first floor was uncomfortably cold. Warm food would lose its heat within just two minutes of being placed on the table.
The hotel has a small gym with a few pieces of workout equipment, but the dumbbells were rusty, showing clear signs of poor maintenance. Communication at the front desk was also a challenge, as the female staff member I interacted with could barely communicate in English.
On a positive note, the Asian cuisine restaurant on the 47th floor offered decent food and a nice view. However, like the rest of the hotel, it was also quite cold.
In terms of location, the nearest shopping mall is about a 10-minute taxi ride (2.5 km) away. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store right across the street.
The main reason I stayed here was the lack of alternative options in the area. However, if I have a choice next time, I would prefer to stay elsewhere.
This hotel to some extent cater to westerners. Very high end and has amazing views of Yantai. Most of the staff speak basic English, which is helpful. Everything except the Chinese food restaurant seems very reasonable.
Great hotel. I stay here once every year for business. Staff are very polite and meals/bars are quite good. C-bar is tucked around the back and is great if you want a nice quiet drink in peace. Breakfast is buffet style with more choices than you can imagine.
The hotel is very tall comparing to the buildings near by. The room is clean and comfortable. But the decorations are a bit outdated. The restaurant offers good choice of food for breakfast. The bar closes very early. Nothing much to do if you come late. The photos are taken from the sea view room.
