The tour guide was absolutely fantastic! Knowledgeable of the area and engaged with the crowd enthusiastically and entertaining. We asked our teenage boys what was their favourite part of our visit to Bath and they all agreed the ghost tour! Highly recommend booking this on your visit to Bath.

Itinerary
Our meeting place for the tour as well as our first haunting of the evening.
Here is one of first haunts of the tour and the first location for guests to become directly involved with the tour by volunteering to be executed. It is a beautiful location that has been used in many movies, but it has a grim and nasty history.
A stunning location on the very edge of the old medieval city, here the guests will discover many haunts including one of the most bizarre in the city that has a connection with non other than the famous novelist Jane Austen.
Here our ghost hunters learn of a hopelessly romantic and violent haunting that infests this stunning building. Another location for the visitors to volunteer and get involved directly.
Our favourite street in the city and home to 2 haunted pubs. Not only great ghost stories in this location but, we also recommend at the end of the tour for gusts to partake in restorative beverages hot and cold down this alley, which is affectionately known as Gin Alley.
Just a stone's throw, or perhaps a body's throw from the Famous Royal Crescent, this park is home to one of Bath's most impactful hauntings. It is the site where we conduct our paranormal experiments and one lucky guest (unlucky?) is called upon to be a link with the other side, with the dead!
Our last haunting of the night and the last opportunity to volunteer, even the children can get involved with this one, if they dare. It is also the location where we say goodnight to our guests and just a short stroll back to the meeting point.
Directly across the courtyard from the Abbey, it is haunted of course, but it does not take an active part in the tour.

Excellent work Mr Skinner even if I had to leave early!
Our tour guide Mr Skinner made this ghost tour not only very informative but also really quirky and fun. He added great character to all the stories he told by using props and getting the members of the tour involved. I personally did not see any ghosts on the tour but I found the stories fascinating and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great fun, the tour guide was very u formative and interactive with the group. A lovely way to walk and see the city too.
Excellent guide. Great way to see the city of Bath and learn about it’s spooky history.
Had a really good time. John was a great ghost giuide for the evening. 10/10
Had a great time on the tour with Robert. It was equally interesting and funny. Had a great laugh and learnt some really interesting things. There was some good involvement but nothing too pressured. Would really recommend for a fun time and if youre interested in ghosty things
Group of 5 of us all ready enjoyed the stories, knowledge and some interactive experiences! Great fun evening learning some rather gruesome tales
We met Mr Robert Rattler, our guide, outside the doors of Bath Abbey under the light of the full moon. Robert guided us through the streets to various locations engaging the group with some great historical facts and spooky ghost history. The group were encouraged to join in with some paranormal experiments and it made the tour all the better. This was a very atmospheric tour, it was well paced and Robert kept a watchful eye out to ensure the group stayed together. Thank you for a great evening.
Our tour was a typical "ghost" tour.
We had a wonderful spooky informative evening with a great host (Jonathan) who was both captivating and humorous. Bath has some very dark secrets and this tour exposed some quite shocking moments in its history. Couldn’t recommend this excursion enough. You won’t be disappointed but maybe you’ll end up being a little bit creeped out from the dark knowledge you’ll discover on this thoroughly entertaining tour. Well done Ghost Tours, worth every penny and not at all over priced. Absolutely recommend it.
We had an amazing time on the Bath Ghost tour! Our guide was brilliant! Loads of information, history and laughs along the way! We would definitely recommend!
Mr Skinner was our spooky guide. Lots of drama and history as well, excellently portrayed by our guide as we walked to several locations in the centre of Bath at night. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and thank you Mr. Skinner !
The experience was awesome, especially during October. Our guide Robert was amazing and funny. We had a great time listening to all the stories and simultaneously getting to walk around Bath. Very spooky!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mr Skinner was very engaging, the tour was very informative, the crowd were nice people, everyone was polite and all seemed to enjoy the tour. Learnt some interesting historical information. It helped me imagine what it was like.
Great fun experience. Very knowledgeable guide. Would recommend.
Really great tour. Full 2 hours of walking and learning about some history around the city. Our guide, Miss Strychnine, was brilliant and made it entertaining for all! Worth all the money and a great way to see the city when it’s dark and less busy.
Me and my partner really enjoyed the tour! Well worth £18. Even though there was quite a few people the stories from the tour guide were still entertaining
We had a great tour guide, Mr Skinner, who was not only knowledgeable but really entertaining. We covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of the city
Very nice tour, Alvin was a great guide. Learnt some interesting history about Bath and had a laugh too
Robert was a great host. Funny and engaging
We both thoroughly enjoyed the ghost tour with Professor Pickwick, fantastic evening , her knowledge of the history was incredible, it really brought to life all the places we visited , it so interesting and learnt so much about the area. She made it informative and really good fun. Thank you Professor Pickwick. You were brilliant !!
John was a great tour guide. Lots of ghoulish tales and was sure to include everyone.
Amazing,creepy but very interesting
An amazing experience walking around Bath, listening to spooky tales and learning about the dark history of Bath. Georgina Strychnine our guide was fabulous, she really added to the atmosphere and got the whole group involved. Really recommend for anyone that loves a good ghost tale. A plus was when bats started flying around us at the perfect moment!
A Fun and Spooky Evening in Bath! 👻 We were thoroughly entertained by our tour guide, Mr. Skinner, who gave us a fascinating evening filled with ghostly tales and spooky stories throughout the historic streets of Bath. Dressed perfectly for the occasion, Mr. Skinner kept the group engaged with his entertaining storytelling and participatory discussions. Walking through the city in the darkness while hearing these eerie tales made the experience even more fun! It was a great way to see a different side of Bath and learn some of its darker history along the way. A fun, entertaining, and spooky tour we definitely recommend it! 👻
Our tour guide, “Professor Pickwick” was excellent, making sure that our tour of the haunted hotspots of Bath was both informative and also great fun! As well as having extensive knowledge of the historical background to the various haunted buildings/areas, our brilliant tour guide also injected fun and humour into her role as Professor Pickwick, ensuring it was a memorable and enjoyable part of our Bath weekend.
'Mr Strange' was our guide and held the group captivated throughout the tour with all the stories of ghosts, murder, suicide and general debauchery. The underside of Bath's beautifully crafted fascade! I bring groups of people to Bath from London and will certainly be recommending this as an activity in which they should participate!
Such a fun way to spend an evening in Bath! The tour took us around lots of different haunted spots throughout the city, with great, spooky stories along the way. It was a nice mix of ghost stories, atmosphere, and a really different way to explore Bath after dark. Our guide, the Professor, was fantastic. Her incredible costume and character made the whole experience feel extra special and added so much personality to the tour. She was a wonderful storyteller and kept the group entertained. I had a great time and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and slightly spooky evening in Bath!
Georgina was our fabulous knowledgeable guide who made it fun for our large group. My husband who is not tech savvy accidentally took a selfie while trying to do the second last task of the evening and this is what showed up in the photo. Have a look in the background.
I love a good ghost tour and have done several over the years, fro Dublin to Stockholm & this would have to be one of the best Our guide through the streets of Bath, John, was an amazing story telling who walked the darker side of Barh’s history, a great 2 hours
Fabulous tour, brilliant guide Professor John, extremely informative and lots of laughs.
Our Bath Ghost Tour with Macabre Tours - and led by 'Mr Skinner' - was by far one of the best tours of this nature I've been on. Lots of history, a small amount of theatrics, no over-the-top jump scares (because, really ... why? If the story is told well that is scary enough.) Our guide was dressed for the part, but not overly so - just enough to fit the mood. I wish we'd known about their other tours beforehand, so we could have booked them all. Highly recommended - and, Mr Skinner, kudos to you - you made this tour!!
We went on the ghost tour tonight with Mr Skinner and it was so much fun! Really great guide, so many interesting anecdotes & great vibes - thanks for a great tour!
A great host, fun, knowledgeable and appropriately spooky!
Georgina Strychnine was a great storyteller. Good delivery and pace. We listened, we interacted, we laughed. Had a really good group who all joined in the fun. Walk was for almost 2 hours but stops were long enough not to feel too tired. Only partly uphill and only at the end. I do think guide should walk back to the beginning to help those new to the city.
★★★★★ We had a fantastic time on Mad Alice’s ghost tour in Bath. She was a brilliant guide—funny, engaging, and clearly loves the stories and history she’s sharing. She told every story with so much passion and enthusiasm that it was easy to get completely caught up in them. The tour was a great mix of creepy stories, history and humor, and never felt rushed or scripted. Mad Alice kept everyone entertained from beginning to end and really brought the darker side of Bath to life. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Bath. If you’re looking for something fun and a little different to do in the evening, we highly recommend spending it with Mad Alice. Five stars!
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish And guide was very knowledgeable and hilarious She made the tour so much fun
The lady guide was excellent - very funny and full of interesting information. Tour was nearly 2 hours but we didn't notice the time until the end. Would definitely recommend.
Wear sensible shoes because there's a lot of walking and you go into grassy areas and down cobbled streets ! Absolutely brilliant, the tour guide was excellent and interacted brilliantly with the participants, my daughter and I really enjoyed it and it's well worth booking !!
Great night with loads of stories, I definitely wouldn’t walk the gravel path alone at night. Definitely recommend
Great guide and fun evening learning about the spooky stories and history of Bath. Would definitely recommend and going in the dark definitely added to the experience and atmosphere!
Fantastic. It lasts 2 hours and you get taken all sorts of places. Hearing very true and wild stories. I took my son who enjoyed it too. There’s a fair bit of standing around and listening. So be prepared with footwear etc.
Was on the 8pm Friday tour, guided by Robert. It was brilliant, well worth the money, it was the perfect amount of informative, entertaining, plus creepy and scary. Would 100% recommend!
Had such a brilliant time on the Bath Ghost Tours! Professor Picric was a fantastic guide, she was entertaining, knowledgeable, whimsical and brought the spooky stories of Bath to life. A great mix of history, humour and ghostly tales. We both learnt a lot and even experienced a little scare! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something fun and different to do in Bath!
Booked in on at the last minute while staying for a night in Bath and was really glad we did .Although it was £3 dearer than some of the other tours at £18 this was still excellent value . Our Guide John was brilliant, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, looked the part carrying a lamp which all added to the experience. We’ve done a lot of tours in our time and this is right up there with the best ! Thanks John for a couple of really enjoyable hours .
An interesting walk seeing another side to Bath as it grew dark and the tourists departed. Learnt some more about the history of the town and its infamous characters. The guide played the part really well! It was quite dark in places so wear good shoes and bring a torch! ..or phone torch will do. Be prepared for a good walk, the tour is 2 hours.
Excellent tour and Robert the guide was amazing!
Great fun and interesting way to end a day in Bath. Our tour guide, Professor Beckett, was both creepy, informative and funny all at the same time. He really made the tour come to life (or death, ha ha). Well worth the cost if you're into something a little different and OK for all ages! Do it!
Booking via operator as trip advisor had some weird purchasing thingy yhat wanted me to donate a kidney - the tour was interesting but using kids all the time as guinea pigs was not needed. Also some facts and figures and names would be nice not just people were hung here or witches burned there. The lady guide worked very hard so full marks to her.
