Homewood Hotel & Spa

We stayed at the Homewood in July as a family of three, plus our Golden Retriever Pluk and left thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly and professionally. A special mention to Cherry at reception, and really to every staff member we encountered friendly, helpful and attentive throughout. Nothing seemed too much to ask. Pluk, our Golden Retriever, received so much attention from the team that he's already planning his return visit probably without us. The grounds and surroundings are beautiful, and we loved finding a booklet in our room with walking routes starting directly from the hotel. A simple but very thoughtful touch. The restaurant is excellent. Fresh, flavourful food enjoyed on the terrace hard to beat. The Spa was equally good; well-equipped and spotlessly clean. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a spacious bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed. As an added bonus, we could charge our electric car at the hotel, no range anxiety, just relaxation. In short, the Homewood is a place where you can truly switch off and recharge, both yourself and apparently your car. We would absolutely recommend it and hope to return soon. Pluk is already packed ;)

My wife Anna went for a bespoke body massage with Rebecca and she said it was the best one ever, and she’s been for a few. She’s not particularly mobile and the staff were empathetic and helpful. The weather was beautiful and the gardens, patio and food were all perfect. David Littlechild

We have just had a wonderful stay at Homewood. We had a Marvellous Mews room which was lovely, and used the spa and restaurant. Both of our massage treatments were great, and I’d particularly like to thank Rebecca for her healing hands and nurturing care, she is one of the best (and I am a therapist myself). The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the food was superb. We will definitely be back, and next time will bring our dog who will love it too.

Our experience at The Homewood was divine. From the moment we walked in, every detail was fabulous, noticed, and appreciated. We started off with Georgia (joyful and kind) explaining the hotel to us and informing us of an upgrade (which we are forever grateful for). You cannot beat the high-end European Hilton family of hotels; they treat the Lifetime Diamond Members well (and far better than in the USA). The Homewood is full of luxurious whimsical decor, and the "small details" make it extra special (such as: the candy bar, brownies in the room, included spa amenities, the Dyson, and more)! We had delicious drinks in the bar, amazing breakfast each morning w/ a great variety, and dinner at Olio which was sublime. The grounds are gorgeous. The staff is great and we are thankful they went out of their way to accommodate an early breakfast request so we could make a tour. The Homewood is delightful and I hope to return!
