Wouldn’t recommend. For this price, the reception looks mid, and room facilities are too basic. The bed is thick in the middle and the thin on the sides so you always feel like you are sliding off the bed. The room doors had huge noise when being closed. Spa was busy, and worse, dirty (you can see mould in the steam room!) the Jacuzzi has cold water - and that’s £10 extra per person (it’s £40 for a family of four!). On the plus side, the breakfast was really good - good variety of food selections, and lovely staff.

We absolutely loved our short stay here. Our room was immaculate with a stunning view of the lake, which we walked around (took us about half an hour slow walk). We arrived early, so decided to have a cocktail in the superb bar area whilst waiting for our room to be ready. Breakfast in the restaurant was a buffet with plenty of choice and very well prepared. Overall the service couldnt be faulted, all staff were attentive and friendly. There are several alternatives to have food and drink in the location, its so pretty at night with lights around the complex and lake. Well worth a stay, highly recommended!
Location is great to visit the area. All about 30mins to get to various hotspots. The rooms are very dated but very large. The staff are amazing and the grounds are lovely. Lots of space and plenty to eat and drink. The breakfast is great. Great selection of juices. The kiwi smootie is fantastic. The pastry and yohurts, cereal selection was really noce and the cooked breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs were nothing to write home about so i avoided them but no hotel does them well unless cooked to order. They did boiled eggs so i had them. The hotel is pet friendly but we had no issues with pets at all. We stayed 4 nights and overall a great base to stay.
As someone who’s usually quite particular when it comes to hotels, I have to admit I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the recent reviews. Thankfully, those concerns disappeared as soon as we arrived. We booked a deluxe room with a beautiful lake view, and from start to finish we had a fantastic stay. The room was finished to a really high standard, with so much attention to detail. The little touches made such a difference – a lovely coffee machine, fresh milk, complimentary bottled water kept cold, and of course the stunning lake view, which made it feel extra special. The hotel itself was beautiful, the grounds were lovely to walk around, and the location couldn’t have been better. Every member of staff we encountered around the hotel was friendly and welcoming, and breakfast exceeded our expectations. There was an excellent selection of fresh fruit, quality produce, freshly made juices and smoothies, and everything was well presented. We also spent time in the spa, which was another real highlight of our stay. The only slight downside was the service in the Boathouse. Drinks took around 25 minutes to arrive after ordering, and throughout the meal the service felt a little slow and not especially attentive. That said, one member of the team really stood out and deserves a special mention. We didn’t manage to catch his name, but he was a young lad wearing a sunflower lanyard. He was genuinely warm, cheerful and incredibly helpful throughout, and his positive attitude really made a difference to our experience. He was a credit to the team, and I hope his excellent customer service is recognised because he absolutely deserves it.
I stayed at this hotel during the Easter holiday 2026, which was a very busy period, and I wanted to share as honest and balanced a review as possible given some of the mixed feedback online. First of all, the hotel is genuinely very friendly and inclusive. It caters well to everyone, families with children, pet owners, younger and older guests alike. You can clearly feel the effort from the staff to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and do not feel outdated. They meet expectations in terms of comfort and overall quality. The food was also better than what you would typically expect in this are, not overly fancy, but everything was done properly and enjoyable. The spa and pool facilities are definitely a highlight. The sauna and steam room are particularly good. Spa treatments are priced at London levels, but the quality of the service justifies it to a large extent. I understand there are some controversial or negative reviews about the hotel, but based on my experience, my stay was very positive. Considering how busy it was during Easter, the overall operation was handled quite well. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
