Belle Mont was overpriced, particularly given the overall condition of the resort (half of which was run down and in disrepair), as well as due to the location, which was far from any restaurants or other activities. Additionally, be mindful of centipedes and other critters in the room, about which we were not warned in advance, causing us deep concern when my fiancée was bitten early our last morning at the resort. She had unfortunately woken up in the middle of the night to several extremely painful centipede bites. Her legs were swollen, and she was panicked, mostly due to the intense pain. Unsure which poisonous creatures exist in St Kitts, we were genuinely afraid. It took 3 phone calls and at least 30 minutes to get the security guard, who was then unsympathetic and reticent to bring us to the hospital for the hydrocortisone shot (which other locals later said was a necessary step). The next morning, we appreciated a staff member asking how she was, but were also shocked that no assurances or further steps were taken. From our own research and conversations with other locals, it was suggested we move rooms, spray the rooms aggressively, put the bed legs in cups, etc., but the Belle Mont team cited no open rooms and no other mitigation measures. That was confusing to us, because the resort seemed nearly empty, including all the similar cabins near us. No other accommodations or apologies were made. We know now these centipedes are known in St Kitts, and particularly in the suites at Belle Mont we were staying (as confirmed by a former employee who one local called for us). The risks should’ve been made clear to guests, as we would’ve taken extra caution checking our beds at minimum (we had to do this in Belize, where our lodge rightfully warned us of scorpions in beds and we took appropriate precautions). We planned to switch hotels, not feeling great about staying in that same room. Belle Mont didn’t propose any other solution or help us arrange alternate transportation there, leaving us to get ourselves out of that very remote environment. Even more frustratingly, when we checked out early, our astronomically high $75 USD transfer fee for our airport departure the next day was still there. The driver we found ourselves did the same routes for $75 east Caribbean (so Belle Mont was doing a ~$40 / 50% up charge each way throughout our stay). Finally, in addition to the centipede incident and the general rundown state of the resort and room (derelict villas, projector didn’t work, fridge didn’t work, golf carts didn’t work), the only restaurant on site was closed Wednesday - Sunday and only one low quality alternate was offered. If this had been known prior to booking, we never would’ve stayed. In light of our experience, we thought it would be reasonable to receive at least a partial refund, because we no longer felt safe and comfortable at the resort, and it’s alarming management didn’t proactively offer this. We spent a lot of money to stay at the Belle Mont, and even more on transportation to town and to dining given the setup, and were thoroughly disappointed.

We went here for the first hotel stay of our honeymoon and it was magical. Even during the off season… the rooms were exquisite, totally unique, and pristine. The service was exceptional too, we lost items a couple of times as a very forgetful pair of people lol and they always found our stuff and brought it back before we could even think of it. The FOOD is to die for, the VIEWS are to die for and the pools are exceptional. We did a volcano hike on our last day and they hired a local guide who was simply the best… If you want the quiet side of St. Kitt’s with a touch of luxury, do not go anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff who made it a great Honeymoon, shout out Kevin!
We stayed 7 nights at Belle Mont Sanctuary Resort in the north of St. Kitts. Beautiful place, but very isolated—far from the city and most beaches. The villas feel like you’re in the jungle, but still safe and comfortable. We saw several monkeys around—small, calm, and not intrusive. Our villa had a small pool and two terraces, perfect for relaxing, reading, or just disconnecting. Great spot if you want to slow down and recharge. Food at the restaurant was very good, and service was mostly great (a few small misunderstandings with dietary requests). Glenda, who cleaned our room, was especially kind and helpful with recommendations. Because of the location, you’ll need a driver to get around. The hotel helped us arrange one (Delroy), and it worked out really well. I wouldn’t recommend renting a car—the roads are narrow, very curvy, and can be stressful to drive. We visited at the end of April. Weather was in the high 70s to low 80s, but it feels hotter in the sun—great for beach and pool, just be careful with sun exposure. Overall, a great place if you want to relax, disconnect, and stay in one place.
Belle Mont was the perfect spot for my family of 4 plus my parents. The accommodations were incredible with my parents having their own smaller cottage and my family in the large house right next to it. The staff are exceptional all around. Food and drink were fantastic. The gym was clean and well stocked. You are on a more isolated section of the island so expect 45min drives to most restaurants/attractions. Not an issue for us as we scheduled our week accordingly to maximize time in each area. Super friendly, accommodating and an absolutely wonderful experience!
I stayed here a year ago and still dream about going back. The utter serenity of Belle Mont cannot be expressed in words. I was on a solo trip, desperately needing sunshine and time alone, and having a beautiful “cottage” to myself complete with one of the most refreshing private pools was incredible. I loved the outdoor bathroom where I felt more than enough privacy but also felt one with nature. I spent the days in the pool and painting on the little terrace after having a delicious room service breakfast outside. The fruit was perfect, the service too - all smiles and expediency. I also dined solo all nights at the restaurant and had excellent service and exquisite fresh food. My pescatarian needs were met easily. They did recommend a nearby place on the beach for other meals but I couldn’t pull myself away from my little enchanted “cottage.” Using the projector at night to stream The Gilded Age and other fare onto the enormous projection screen made me feel like I was in my own movie theatre every night. I cannot wait to go again!!!! Worth every penny of a splurge.
