Absolutely loved this cruise. Great guide and beautiful afternoon cruising the Lake and the islands. Sunset on the way back was magical. Highly recommended.

Itinerary
We start the tour by picking up passengers at the selected hotels.
After pickup from your hotel in Bariloche by your guide, enjoy a comfortable catamaran ride from Puerto Pañuelo, located at the base of the renowned Llao Llao Hotel. The hotel, known for its distinctive Patagonian and architecture, offers stunning views of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and the Andes mountains.
Set sail for an hour-long ride on beautiful Nahuel Huapi Lake – located within Nahuel Huapi National Park – and admire the scenic views from every angle as you enjoy a lunch break aboard the boat (available for purchase or bring your own).
First, head to Victoria Island, the largest island on Nahuel Huapi Lake, and disembark at Puerto Anchorena. Enjoy a guided walk along several trails through the lush coniferous forest; your guide will show you a variety of trees – both native and introduced – including sequoias, birches, firs, aromos and pines. If you visit during summer months, dip into the lake at Toro Beach if you’d like, or take the chair lift up Cerro Bella Vista (Bella Vista Hill), situated 2,950 feet (900 meters) above sea level and flanked by enormous coihue and cypress trees. Enjoy panoramic views of Victoria Island and magnificent Nahuel Huapi Lake, followed by a break at an island snack bar (own expense).
Next, disembark at Quetrihué Peninsula for a guided walk through the arrayán forest in Los Arrayanes National Park – a unique forest growing on the southern tip of the peninsula. A narrow isthmus to the mainland, in which the picturesque town of Villa Angostura resides, joins 2,470 acres (1,000 hectares) that comprise the Quetrihué Peninsula – the only place in the world where the arrayáns grow into full-sized trees.
Stroll along 2,000 feet (600 meters) of walkway and admire the singular beauty of the hundred-year-old arrayán trees, whose cinnamon-colored bark is cold to the touch and peels off in flakes, giving the trunk its unique appearance. Depending on the season, keep an eye out for their white flowers and pleasant-tasting purple fruit, popular in Argentina and Chile. Your guide will point out a small cabin built in the middle of the forest, where you might also glimpse the pudú (a miniature species of South American deer) that inhabit the area. The world’s smallest deer, they are said to have inspired the famous Walt Disney character Bambi.
After a full day exploring, you'll be transported back to Bariloche.

This was an interesting trip. What we saw was beautiful but the tour was awful and we would not recommend it. This trip was advertised as being 6 hours on a catamaran with an English speaking guide. The reality was we were on a boat that was built in 1938 and looked like the African Queen. The 1 guide who spoke English barely spoke English. The trip actually lasted from pick up to drop off took 10 hours! We missed the evening tour and dinner scheduled with the rest of our group!
It was a Funeral, 98 % of all of the trees on Crape Myrtle Island "arrayanes" were dead! No Joke, When I pointed this out to the tour Leader Fernandez, he said there was still hope, pointing to a meesly living sprig on a giant dead arrayanes tree!!! This is called deception, the photos for the tour pictures beautiful Arrayans Trees! Please refund my money.
We were hoping to learn more about the Parque Nacional. The boat was comfortable, but the tour guide and the audio tour on the boat were disappointing as well as the poorly marked trails. The tour guide gave no instructions on the bus trip. You couldn't really hear the boat's audio. The boat had a TV screen where a translation of the guide could be scrolled. The one area which did have guides no English guides were available. So if you are looking to learn about Parque Nacional this may not be the tour to choose.
The tour guides, boat crew and photographers were very professional and friendly. The ride on the vintage boat was great to enjoy the panoramic views. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history and biology of the forest. The whole tour was very organized and fun.

The memorable parts of this tour was the places. Beautiful views, amazing nature to enjoy, but we were on our own, for the price that was charged I think we overpaid.
We really enjoyed this trip. The boat we sailed on was very cool, it was the older one. The historical information about the region while in the boat was in English and in Spanish, so we could all understand. The first park visit was short but pretty. The visit to Victoria Island was the really highlight. We did the guided tour and the guide, Eduardo, was incredibly knowledgeable. My mom and I really enjoyed learning from him. The visit to island is a about an hour too long, so visitors should be prepared with card games or something to pass the time. Very worth the trip!
We reserved this tour in English. The two guides not only did not speak English (or at least they said they didn't and they were obnoxious. The bus driver had the radio blasting with hard rock. A complete disappointment.
Beautiful scenery both on the islands and surroundings. Easy to board and debark boat on islands. Lack of English speaking guide was a surprise but we managed with our Spanish.
Terrible experience. Viator is not reliable because local operators are not good. This was a very expensive tour and completely not worth it. The views are amazing and Bariloche is wonderful but you are better of doing it on your own and not through Viator. I paid $220 dollars per person, with transfer included. After paying and not being able to cancel I received an email that they would not pick me up and thus I paid 3 taxis because we were 11 people. To the 2,200 I paid Viator I had to add another 36 US in taxis one way. Then, park fees and boat fees are not included, adding another 9 US per person. When I arrived to the meeting point they said the tour was not with them. I showed them the Viator ticket and they said it wasn’t with them. After arguing with Turisur, the local agency, they found my tickets. I had to jump on a bus 40 minutes to the pier, passing right next to where I was staying. The boat itself is old, packed and the ride beautiful but boring and long. The forest is a nice walk. All in all definitely I would not pay $230 per person for this. I saw this morning the same tour in Viator for $130 so someone definitely scammed me. I am very upset and will never use this site again.
Beautiful sites, but a rickety older boat. The staff we believe skipped a few stops based on Argentina winning their World Cup match during the voyage. Some of the staff seemed drunk after the win too. Beautiful area but disappointed in the way it ended.
We went on the Cau Cau cruise and really enjoyed it. The coach travel from Bariloche to the boat was good and we enjoyed the boat ride. Guide was excellent and we were able to do the cruise, Island and forest in English. all round a good experience.
The scenery is truly stunning. We enjoyed hiking around Victoria Island and spending time at the Arrayan Forest. I would have liked to have spent more time there, at the forest, but you have only 40 minutes to walk the circuit then get back to the boat. On the tour description, it says that we were supposed to visit the Quetrihué Peninsula, which we did not do. The company should probably update the tour description so that people aren't disappointed when they realize that they aren't going to visit that stop. Also, as an FYI, If you book this tour, be prepared to have more of an independent experience. We thought that we would have a multilingual tour guide, and that was not the case. When the guide took the group on a guided tour, we had to go off on our own because he conducted the tour only in Spanish. When making announcements on when we had to return back to the boat, he didn't make an effort to tell us in English. Luckily we do know a little Spanish, but if you are selling the tours to English speakers, then you should have someone that will at least explain the basics in English.
DO NOT BOOK WITH TANGOL. This tour company stole my money and did not provide me a tour - it’s just a scam. Save yourself the headache of trying to get your money back - just book your tours with a different company once you’re in a Bariloche. There are at least half a dozen tourism offices downtown to choose from (probably more), who offer the same tours at 1/2 or 1/3 the price anyway.
Modesta Victoria is a vintage cruise ship with plush wood interior. A historical relic still in service and a wonderful way to explore Victoria Forest and the Arrayan Forest Walk. There are other newer ships in Nahuel Huapi Lake but I am so glad we took this cruise rather than the others.
The boat trip was so good and fun with stunning views of the mountains. Love the Arrayan Forest and we took a guided walk in Victoria Island that provided us with interesting information. When we decided to eat I almost broke down: the Island used to have a cozy but classy restaurant where you had lunch with the most incredible views in Patagonia but now there is a "Confiteria" that is dirty and looks like a bar in a shanti town. And the food !!! There wasn't any. Just a few gross looking cold sandwiches at a price of caviar. Shame to the entity in charge of this incredible and unique place that allows to operate that thing call cafeteria. You spend the whole day in the excursion an do not have access to something decent.
While the destination itself is stunning this is mass tourism of the worst kind. You are sharing a boat with 300 tourists and as for the guided tour is derisory except for the description of the islands. Above all you will also be asked to fork out separately for admission fees to the park followed by boarding fees then of course you are captive audience both onboard as well as on the islands if you want something to eat. I suggest avoiding the long tours and going for the short ones to give you time to explore individually they do not care as long as you are on board on time. Expensive really for what it is but yes the scenery is stunning.
Literally, 300 people. Elbow to elbow. The destinations were great, the boat was not. Can you imagine in your head, boarding 3 times with 300 people? No outside room that had seating, you had to stand? This is a long tour. This was C- class conditions.
We were informed a few hours in advanced that the trip was cancelled, we asked for an alternative and didn't received any information. It was very frustraiting. Terrible service.
Took the noon departure, arrived back 6:30p Beautiful calm day on lake. Giuide was good. Itinerary obligated us to almost three hours on Victoria island, easily a good hour too long. My son and I did two good hikes on island and and still had an hour to spare. The second island is a waste of time. Old groves of indigenous trees, many need serious pruning and cutting of dead wood. If lake weather good, go for the boat ride but way too much island time. Could have been so much better with more time on the water.
Total waste of time and money. Very poor on content and definitely not helped by the really poor quality 'English' speaking guide. Both stops involve a very quick walk on a predetermined trail or walkway with very little to see. I suspect the volcano activity may have taken away the beauty of these places but I couldn't believe how short the trees were, they looked decapitated. Boat trip had some good views but I'd already seen similar on a bus trip the previous day. Turisur were the operator and they were impersonable, lazy and bored!

This is an amazing tour if you get the right language guide. The boat ride in the lake is spectacular, the walk through the Arrayan Forest is beautiful. Was a lovely day with plenty of free time to wander around on your own.

This tour has to be seriously improved in 2 aspects:

1entrance fees to the Arrayanes National Park should be included in the fare of the tour. As the National Park entrance fee is not possible to be paid by credit card it may be a hassle to pay with cash in a foreign country

2the tour should include meals and/or beverages, as it happens with tours in most countries. Viator could provide as an option to choose between meals and without meals

To startling, the Company emailed via Viator to say they wouldn't pick us up from the hotel. Then they said they d picks up near the hotel, then they picked us up across the road from the hotel.

Nowhere on the Viator trip description did it say we would have to pay additional charges, nor did it say that the English speaking guide would only occasionally speak, english.

The trip itself was ok, a well run marketing tool with some lovely scenery.

It was a great trip, although -- the tour was all in spanish-- and my husband did not get background history of the tour as it was not translated in English- I had to provide the translation. Beautiful scenery!

Our guide Sabestin didn't translate and only explained everything in Spanish; there is no chairlift (been out of commission since 2005; false advertising as the trip was not a "Small-group tour limited to 10 people ensures a personalized experience"! It was more like a sausage factory experience!!

The tour we got is nothing like discribed,we bought a tour for at most a group of 10 people with an english guid we got picked up from the hotel transfered to the port got on a bout with 150 tourists all the tour was in spanish .we asked for an explanetion from the tou guide on the bout and showd our tour discription, she knew nothing about, all she said is that she is not from the tour agency which is responsible for us.the tour agency which was supposed to take care of us had no representatives on bord the bout.it is very upseting to buy a tour and get only the transportation but no tour guide especialy becouse we are leaving on the 27 december.

In the tour description on your website, the tour was described as a maximum of 10 people, in a catamaran with an English speaking guide. These we the reasons that I booked the tour. The tour was actually on a huge boat with about 80 other people on it. The guide did not speak English at all. Every instruction and examination was only in Spanish. I was extremely disappointed and felt the tour description on the Viator website did not accurately describe this tour. I felt very mislead by the description on the website and did not get what I paid for.

It was all as advertised. The excellent guide, the catamaran very comfortable and the destinations very beautiful. It was worth it.
An unforgettable day, experience note 10 , paradisiacal places
Viator cooperates with Tanglo Guardia Agency (locally). The company that runs this excursion is called Turisur. Booked tour in the morning, 9 hours with English speaking guide. In the afternoon before the tour you will receive a message that the booked tour with Get Your Guide will be done in the morning without an English guide for technical reasons and whether you want to change your booking to the afternoon with an English-speaking guide. My question whether it is the same service as the booked excursion was answered in the affirmative. We received a tour for 6 hours and guide spoke almost only Spanish. The explanations of the guide on board the ship were 10 minutes Spanish and 1 minute concise execution in English (we now arrive and depart again... ) No further information e.g. origin history etc. or even where the toilets are... only for Spanish speaking people. The guide (she) deliberately sent us on two tours (alone) and did not tell us that she was taking a tour. When we met you (on our tours) with a group of Spanish-speaking people, she even wanted to send us on. She pointed me to signs that I could read, that the information would be in English and explained everything further in Spanish, although the signs also said everything in Spanish. There is not much to see on the two islands. You can really save that. The ship itself and the view is quite nice... that's all. I've done some tours in Argentina and was happy with everyone, but this tour is overpriced, doesn't stop what's on offer: Described chairlift did not exist at all and English speaking guide also not really. All in all, this is an outrage. Viator should take this out of the program or only offer it in Spanish!
The ride was nice. Victoria Island is a must see. These trees are impressive in their size.
Hello, I am planning a 6 night Caribbean cruise and have 2 options, Montego Bay with Grand Cayman or Amber Cove and Grand Turk. I do not know any of them and we are a family with 2 young people and 1 teenager, who recommend me???
Lake Nahuel Huapi is charming, with spectacular scenery. The boat Modesta Victoria is from 1939 and is beautiful and very well maintained. I made this crossing five times. The staff is very friendly and attentive. You always want to come back.
Hotel Mouradi kantaoui club is a hotel with a very beautiful soul and a superb beach .. with bungalows very close to the beach and a driveway exuding enormous charm leading to the sea , the hotel is run by very professional and very kind employees . We really feel that the machine is very well run and that there is a know-how of the craft that has been going on for a very long time. We eat well and enjoy this beautiful beach to the fullest
The view is nothing like what it describes, the order is different and the navigation takes almost 2 and a half hours on a boat that is also super slow. The places to see are beautiful but it is not worth the time or the price. The agency did not want to go to my hotel and they made me go to another one when it was literally 400 meters from where I am staying and we even passed by there in the truck. The truth is that I don't think it's worth it, it's boring, the guided tours are not good and the price is too much, plus you have to pay an additional 8,000 per person to enter the national park. The truth is I don't recommend it.
Volver mil veces a esa maravilla natural !!
Excellent experience on the Modesta Victoria, the oldest ship on the Nahuel Huapi. I always like the whole tour of Victoria Island and Arrayane Forest.
Muy buena la escursion y los traslados muy puntuales..la visita a isla.victoria hermosa y el bosque de arrayanes volveria a ir.
La playa del toro en la isla victoria, hermoso paisaje y escuchar el ruido de la naturaleza. Imperdible
spectacular, the beautiful walk, easy for all ages. go well footwear when there is ice svala.
A beautiful walk! Dream places, the guides are very friendly, accompany and explain very well during the walk. Within the catamaran is sold snacks, coffee, water etc, but also You can carry life. Beautiful experience! Be aware: when you go fit Particular, prior to the ride, inside the property must pay the boarding fee (only debit or cash). And parking is charged, which on return is full stay, so in private vehicles the departure is delayed due to the line for payment. Since the complete walk makes up the stay, I believe that parking could be paid at check-in, or by electronic means, thus avoiding delay in check-out.
Last February 9th we were very lucky to do this tour with an agency. The fare included transfer, boat ride to Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest. Everything was spectacular, everything is very well maintained and clean. They left us 3-4h at the beach. And it was wonderful to be able to contemplate so much beauty. Of course, a lot of sun protection, we (are brown) and we burn a little. So q water, snacks (because the food is expensive and shabby) and caps, and swimming trunks clear!! For the daredevil who wants to get in the water.
Beautiful place, beautiful!visit it because it is incredibly beautiful. The arrival, the journey, is a magical combo.
Victoria Island is beautiful and so is the forest of arrayanes. Very nice experience. The nursery on the island very nice.
