Excellent trip. Comfortable coach. Although a Spanish trip which I chose and don’t speak the language the guide was helpful and understanding.

Long trip but very worth it. Scenery is gorgeous. Fortunate also to have a beautiful day. Tour guide and driver were excellent. Although a tour booked for Spanish, Barbie would give the English and Spanish version which was nice. Highly recommend.
So this was a big bus that picked up people like a greyhound. Most of the stuff announced by the tourguide on the bus is in spanish, very little in English. Few quick photo stops. The views are beautiful. Then 2 hour solo time at San Martin. Then drives you back. I felt it was worth $90 max not $314 USD. That's the ridiculous. They charge spanish speakers a lot less!
Deborah was wonderful. Eventhough it was a Spanish tour, she took the time to explain everything in English to me. I appreciate it very much. The driver was great. Thank you.
Beautiful area but Too long and monotonous .Bariloche tours refused to Pick us up as contract said ..
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. However, the bus was very small and uncomfortable. I was the second-to-last person picked up from my hotel, so I ended up in a seat in the last row where I could barely see out the window. Since the whole trip was about the scenery, I didn’t get to see much at all. The price was also much higher than what other local travel agencies offered with their big, comfortable buses.
Guide was ok but he had a lot more to say in Spanish than English. We expected more insight to the area. It’s a long day otherwise.
This tour requires a lot of driving at very low speeds. The 7 Lakes route to San Martin de Los Andes goes through wild country and makes a few stops to take photos. The guide and driver were prepared and punctual. The views are pretty, but the drive was a bit too long.
it was a successful tour !! the tour guide gave us a lot of information. I can highly recommend it !
Fantastic trip The guide was very informative and really made the trip experience memorable Long day but plenty of breaks and a good stop over for lunch
Hugo is an awesome guide. The other reviewers said it all. Highly recommend even though a little exhausting. Excellent service. Check out the other options they offer for trips as well.
If you’re looking for a low key event but want someone else to drive, this is the trip for you. Beautiful scenery and a nice stop for lunch at San Martin de los Andes. If the food trucks are open I recommend eating there for fast service and expense. Restaurants on main strip are pricey and quality lacking.
One of the best tours!! The host, Cinti, was fenomenal. Her readiness level is very high. She was very thorough , friendly , and with a lot of experience of the history of Bariloche. Recommend her 100%. My wife and I had an excellent time.
Heads up. I booked and paid for the English speaking tour only to be told the day before the tour only the Spanish speaking tour was available. I agreed as long as I was refunded the difference in the price. Still waiting for the refund! I wasn't the only person on the bus in this situation. Nice views but couldn't understand the commentary.
The scenery during the drive was beautiful. Our guide was very informative. He spoke in Spanish first then English. We enjoyed the view at each stop. We discovered our trip had changed after we boarded the vehicle. We signed up for, and paid for, a 12 hour trip with 3 hours in San Martin. The local tour company combined our trip with that of 3 other companies. We returned 2 hours earlier. I feel we missed out on time in San Martin but the other sites seemed fine. I don’t know what we might have missed though. We never heard from the final company about a pick up spot until the night before our trip at 8 am. We were a little stressed since our Spanish is not complete. I would recommend the trip if you are aware of the situation. The parks and lakes were lovely!!
What an amazing trip with views that will take your breath away. It was a long day but the bus was comfortable and the guide and driver were very kind and accommodating.
Valentin was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, very kind and accommodating to everyone during the entire journey. I absolutely recommend this tour and him!
We went with a tour company. The day started very cloudy so our first view of mirror lake was not good. The good thing is that it cleared out and from the third lake on it was nice. Beautiful views, cold but pleasant.
Positive - Hugo (guide) and Gerardo (driver). Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, clearly proud and passionate about Argentina and the Bariloche/7 Lakes area. Areas to improve. Essentially, it becomes a long drive to San Martin and then return to Bariloche. A few occasional stops for toilet and photo ops. Sadly, they stop at areas that aren't even that beautiful which is a shame as we drove past some stunning scenery. And, of course, the stops are the same as all other tours and buses so long queues for toilets and taking pics (with everyone else in your pics!) Two hours in San Martin which is neither pretty not interesting is a bit of a waste. Hire a car or private driver - then you'll see the proper beauty rather than just whizz past everything in a bus.
It is a more than 400 kms journey, but it worth !! The travel itself is very enjoyable and every stop is fantastic. If you do not want to navigate this one day tour is one of the best we could find, and we did not mistake choosing it. We chose Vivencias Travels and everything was great.
This trip is nice and offers great views and the guide was really nice and knowledgeable. But here's the rub: you're basically in the bus for the whole day except for the 2 hours at San Martín DLA, stopping just to take pictures. So if you're the hiking type (or just not the sit-all-day type) I suggest you rent a car and drive there yourself.
My main problem was the price. When booking, it was €50 more expensive to select an English speaking tour, which I paid, but the tour was actually done in both Spanish and English. So the people on the tour who had selected Spanish paid €50 less for the exact same tour. Seems like a tourist rip off to me. Otherwise the tour was fine, but it was overpriced and I’d select a different operator next time who doesn’t overcharge tourists.
Stops at the beautiful lakes were great. It was a 10 hour trip not ac12 as advertised. I think they may have missed a stop or two on the way back. Tour guide was great
The guide and driver were very nice, the lakes were beautiful. I wish we had the optiopn of being dropped off at the city centre. Having lunch by the bay was over an hour and the city centre was 5 blocks away . No time to do both. I would have skipped lunch to see the Town and shops.
This trip was a great way to see the lakes however it was a very long day. On reflection stoppage time at the Lakes Angoustera and San Martin could have been reduced. Our tour guide was great at giving us all the information in English
Picked up from hotel as were many. Took up to 9 am to collect everyone. Cloudy and rainy morning so several stops were moved to the afternoon in hopes of better weather. It was. Tour was in English and Spanish.
The tour bring us to some fantastic sences close to Bariloche. The guide is very help and friendly. She did a good job
Long drive through the national parks. It was very beautiful and scenic. Though I booked an English speaking tour, I was assigned to a spanish speaking tour, making it very difficult to understand what was being said during the tour. I would advise to confirm the tour language before departing.
The lakes were really beautiful. Great guided tour! It was both in english and Spanish. Lots of good information.
Stunning scenery, a nice relaxed pace and a guide that provided some good history and information. A nice relaxed way to start our trip in South America
The stop in St Martin for a meal and time to enjoy the soundings. The guide was friendly and helpful.
1) the mini bus was extremly uncomfortable, not properly suited for a long journey. The great interest of the tour is the trip itself. In a mini bus, the bus is the 90% of the view. 2) the tour should be a guided by a professional in tourism, with knowledge in geography, history, fauna & flora. 3) we traveled all the way to San Martín de Los Andes, and once we arrived the guide basically gaslighted us into having lunch at the restaurant of his own interest, and failed to mention there was a whole Village full of shops to visit, and a whole lot of other restaurants. 4) On the way back we were suposed to pass by Pasó the Cordoba a semi desertic área between the mountains but instead we took the same road we did on our way there The Guided tour was a shame It wasn’t worth it.
San Martin is a cozy little town. They have tours that go there daily. I would recommend renting your own car, as it comes out way cheaper and you get to run on your own schedule and stop off at the lakes you want to. We headed out early morning with no traffic and we were able to make it within 2.5 hours. The town is small enough that you only need 3-4 hours to see it all unless you want to dine at a restaurant. Most places open at 10 or 11, so be mindful if you want to get there early. There's really only 2 lakes that I think are worth stoping at, that have a big enough area to swim in or enjoy (although I forget the names) but the area is clearly visible. It was really a quick trip for us to visit. I would recommend this outing if you have nothing else to visit, like to see lots of lakes (that you might not be willing to jump in) and like cozy small towns. The drive there is scenic as well, but can get a little redundant and it is winding. Great drive if you enjoy...driving.
Lovely day touring the 7 lakes. So glad we didn’t hire a car and did it this way as we greatly appreciated Valentine’s local knowledge and it’s quite a long way!
Beautiful settings, amazing guide, Natasha, lots pf good pictures. This are is my favorite that I’ve visited ever. The combi (van) was super comfortable, the guide was funny and engaging. I learned a lot.
The bus tour was fine, but they put us in the regular Spanish language group with a guide that spoke no English, even though we specifically booked an English language tour (which cost extra!). They didn't even ask. Otherwise, great scenery obviously, but the stops on the way are rather short.
Sadly we would not recommend this tour to anyone. We booked (and paid MORE money) for an English guide on this tour. The evening before at 8pm we were sent a message to tell us they wouldn’t be able to do it in English and gave us an option to cancel or do it in Spanish (we can’t speak Spanish which is why we paid more for the English one). Firstly we weren’t impressed we were only told that late the evening before! But it was our last day there so we really didn’t want to miss the views! So we went ahead in Spanish. We are very upset and not impressed that they ignored all of our emails and attempts to contact them since the tour! And lastly they will not refund us the extra money we paid them to have a tour in English … which they did not even provide for us!! Very sad badly run company!
I could never have imagined the beauty, One of a long list of must visits and truly worth every moment.
Overall the trip was very nice, however, the 30min stops in Villa La Angostura was too short, couldn't really enjoy the town or take good pics. Also by the time we arrived at San Martin and had lunch the stores closed for the afternoon so there was very limited shopping. The lakes were amazing and the scenery spectacular.
Great guide, great bus and driver. The small villages we stopped at all the shops were closed. I would suggest starting an hour later and shorten the time where we stopped for lunch by at least 1/2 hour
The tour is beautiful, stunning landscapes and passes through a city VILLA ANGOSTINA and then comes to the city of SAN MARTIN DE LOS ANDES, and both are very gracious. the lakes are beautiful and most of them mirrored.
Everything was excellent; the tour had very beautiful views, the guide Ignacio was very attentive, Villa Angostura is a very picturesque town, and San Martín de Los Andes was very lovely. Of course, you do not explore everything, but we enjoyed it.
Full, nice with time to tour in San Martin
Not enough time to eat or stops to use the bathroom. The guide does not accept that you make a single comment with your companions because he bothers you to talk and not listen 100% of the time, when he should pause, to allow one to talk with his companions of the beauty of the place.
Frankly, I thought it was a very long time for this whole mass of landscapes. Lots of car hours. Weary all this way.
Excursion without any interest 3 hours drive with 3 stops of 5 minutes to see lakes , without having the opportunity to take the time to enjoy the landscape, and this to go to lunch in a small town, without any fee, for 2 hours and resume the road back. The worst excursion of our trip. Also note the lack of motivation on the part of the guide, who seems to approve of our feelings
The tour to San Martin by 7 lakes, was excellent in every way, starting with the outstanding driving and guiding by Rody. In my most recent tours of northern and western Argentina, I took several tours, by Viator, and today was the best of all in terms of enthusiasm, professionalism, breadth and depth of knowledge, and human qualities of the guide. This morning El Calafate, where I also hired a tour with Viator. I anticipate another nice experience. I wish you every success in the high season ahead and congratulate you on the excellent product and extraordinary experience for your customers. Alberto Franco Mejia, Costa Rica
Beautiful place, worthy of visiting the 7 lakes and San Martin de Los Andes, loved it, super recommended. Charming bariloche
Nice scenery! Good selection of restaurants in San Martin de los Andes. The van was very comfortable.
We took the 7 lakes to San Martín de los Andes and it was a lovely experience! The landscape along the way is simply stunning, with several stops for photos and contemplation of nature. The guide was attentive, provided clear and useful information throughout the course, and the agency’s punctuality was impeccable. The only point that led me to give 4 stars, rather than 5, was the reduced time in San Martín de los Andes. The city is beautiful and deserves a longer time to be explored in peace. Maybe by reducing the number of stops in some lakes, it is possible to provide a slightly longer stay there.
