We drove to ( or catch No 20 bus) direct to the Puerto Panuelo ((opposite the Hotel Llao Llao turn off) and booked directly with boat company - 140,000 ARS and then as a foreigner we paid 42 000 ARS for national park fee. We took the 2.00 pm boat and returned at 6.30 pm, stopped at Victoria Island for 1.30 hrs, 40 minutes at Island of Arrayanes to visit the red myrtles. More than enough time on both Islands. Problem with Turisur cruise was it was packed with tour and school groups. Cau Cau ( booth just next to Turisur) is less busy and does exactly the same cruise/islands/ times!! Would recommend Cau Cau if travelling without a tour group. We parked our car on the road as parking in the car park is expensive. Beautiful scenery and a great day out on the lake, albeit expensive.

A wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of Patagonia. Isla Victoria offers stunning landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect escape during a visit to Bariloche. An unforgettable experience for nature lovers.
It was a beautiful day and great to get out on the lake. I enjoyed the opportunity to walk a bit. In retrospect I don't think it would have been too hard to arrange the transport to Victoria Island by taking the municipal #20 bus to Puerto Panuelo then taking with the boat companies
Fabulous boat ride to lovely island Only negative was the guide spoke very little English Trip longer than expected but worth it Note you have to make your own way to the meeting point which is an hour long bus ride
I was expecting an English guided trip with 3 h in Victoria island and 2 h in arrayanes island with maximum 10 people in the group, just as mentioned in the description. On the other hand, we got there on time for the trip (10:00) and then the guid told us in spanish (I am a spanish speaker but my husbend is not) that the 3 h in Victoria island is only for the spanish tour, and if we want everything in English, we would have to waite until 14:00 and have only one hour on victoria island. We decided to take the spanish tour because we were not going to wait so much time to get a shorter tour. Then, on the ship, we discovered that there were way more than 10 people on the tour and that there are more the are going to come. Moreover, on the Arayanes island there was even an additional catamaran that was added and the island was way overcrowded. Eventually, when the english speaker group showed up, we saw that even there the English guidence was lacking. Adding to that the tour is overpriced to begin with and after that we had to pay national park fee of 24 usd each and a parking fee for our car (about 15 usd). I do not think that the tour price is worth it. Long story short, it is not a fully guided tour in english, not a maximum of 10 people and the timing on each island is way shorter than mentioned. I would recommend to take a simple bout to Victoria island and to the Arrayanes forest you could get by foot or bicycle.
It is a beautiful experience, filled with stunning sights of nature and wonderful atmosphere it brings with it
The experience we received, while somewhat enjoyable was nothing like what was advertised/what we ordered. We registered for a 10am trip including 2 hours with an English speaking guide. We received tix to a 2pm boat trip with no English. It was also advertised as a small group tour and ended up about 250 people. Very disappointed. WOULD NOT REVOMMEND! Save your money. The scenery from the boat was pretty, but you can see similar views elsewhere in Bariloche. And the trees can also be found around Bariloche; no need to go to the island/forest.
Was a nice way to see some more of Patagonia if you're staying in Bariloche. The trees were pretty and the ferry was nice. I got pretty confused with which ferry to take, but it all worked out in the end. The Arrayanes Forrest was pretty, but Victoria Island was my favorite part of the day.
TRIP WAS INTERESTING but the cost was double that of buying direct from Turi Sur and the ‘tour’ offered no additional benefits. There was a suggestion of hotel pickup which is not on offer. There is no representative from Greyline. Vicotira Island is intersting. The boat trip is quite long at three hours all up there and back. Take a cushion of you can.
Going to Victoria Island is to be recommended, but I don’t think this tour offers value, or indeed anything much. You can buy tickets from TuriSur for almost exactly half the price and this tour is a nothing. There is no representative, and despite a suggestion they will pick up from hotels in Bariloche that is not in reality offered. My view is that this is a scam for Tripadvisor clients to pay double the standard price The boat is fine but three hours is quite a long time to be travelling up and down the lake. If you can, bring a cushion, the seats are hard, but the boat does have a cafeteria.
Nice boat trip, also beautiful nature. It was sunny so the boat ride was also great. Nice trip but too expensive for what you see. We wouldn’t do it again. Just because the price/value does not fit in our opinion.
Marvelous experience with the trip. The operator for Viator did not sold the transfer, that we bought at the counter of Turisur, because the Port is 20 miles from Bariloche city center.
It was an incredible experience! Even though it was rainy the trip was incredible. Amazing crew. Since they picked us from our rendezvous point until we reach the port and then the actual trip crew was amazing. Everything went smoothly and on time.
Don't buy this. You can go to the boat's agency online or in store. It's either Cau & Cau or Turisul that operate those boats. The price is $40 each. This guy literally sold me two tickets for $130. There is no guide there either. No pick up from hotel. If there was a guide, I would have no problem with the trip, but the people that you book the excursion with, are not even there. I asked for a partial refund to cover the taxi costs and for there being no guide, which is why I paid for at first.
We were obviously looking forward to this amazing boat trip and the trip itself was wonderful. However, booking it through Tripadvisor was a problem in several ways. Firstly, the information on the website about the trip, which was either confusing or misleading. The info said that transfer to and from Puerto Pañuelo was not included. But the itinerary details clearly said that you would be collected and returned to your hotel afterwards. So which was it? I am still none the wiser. In the end we made our own way to Puerto Pañuelo by taxi and arrived early at 12.00 for a 12.30 departure. But when we arrived, neither of the 2 boat companies had our names on their lists. Both companies phoned to check and still didn’t know. Eventually 1 of the men told me that the operator had forgotten to process our booking. He kindly gave us tickets for a trip leaving an hour later. The trip was great. But we would have been better to go to the port ourselves and buy tickets directly from the boat companies. We received no apology from Tripadvisor for the error and a deal of stress. Maybe someone will contact us now.
The boat tour to Isla Victoria and Arrayanes Forest was absolutely excellent. Location is out of this world. We had 2 stops on the journey, the first for about 45 minutes which gave us plenty of time to walk around the island Los Arrayanes. The second stop at Isla Victoria was 1 hour and three quarters. Plenty of time to discover the island or just sit and enjoy the beach as some did. Unfortunately someone forgot to complete our booking so when we arrived at the port at the start there was a lot of confusion which was solved by a very helpful guy from the boat tour company who sorted us out with tickets on the following boat. So what did not start well ended up being a very good experience.
I think we would have been better booking this ourselves. We drive to the puerto and arrived far too early Facilities at the port are not good The boat trip was fun but they use the loudspeaker far too much. The forest walk was very good. It would have been good to have a tour leader for the Isla Victoria
Very expensive for the experience. One day for the trip and the places is too much. It is no convient
Beautiful scenery Boat a bit crowded and hard to hear the guides Transfer I formation was a bit confusing
The guide who lead a group of us through the forest area of the island was very knowledgable about the island and clearly lead as an expert in the field . The Sequoia trees she explained about being planted from California trees was a surprising highlight.
I made the reservation with Viator that sent it to TuriSur and send it to Bartion . I wanted transportation but at the end I was told to get on my own to Puerto Pañuelo , 25 km away . There is no way to get a taxi back ti Bariloche after the tour . I would have never booked it without transportation . Horrible experience and very misleading . Never again
Booking with GreyLine was more confusing than just doing the trip alone. 1. Someone reached out to me on trip advisor 3 times prior to the excursion to ask what hotel I was in. I told them three times. I asked what time pickup was and they said they’d call my hotel 24 hours before. They never did. Each email said only hotels in city center had pickup and if not we’d be given a location in center to meet the transfer. We were never given a time or location despite multiple follow ups afternoon before and morning of (I only had data no calls and could not access a phone to call). They never responded to my final questions about who or what to look for after we got ourselves to the port. It was more stressful trying to figure out if we had a transfer in last 24 hours than figuring out the bus. - I will note on reviewing the description of the tour and confirmation info about half the time or references hotel pick up and drop off and half the time it says none includes. It’s Inconsistent. 2. I received my boat tickets in a random WhatsApp from a number and company that was not the tour operator. I tried to ask them about transfer thinking it was same company but they told me they were just middle people who only bought boat tickets. While WhatsApp is common here, it may not be for all travelers. No email copy of my tickets was sent, and presumably everyone booking on viator certainly has an email. 3. We got ourself to the port and there was NO guide or communication from greyline. The boat is operated by Turisur, who has a kiosk there. There is an mc of sorts on the boat and a handful of pre recorded informational announcements on the area and history and geography in Spanish and English. The info page says something about 15 people on tour but that’s a joke there’s no “tour” it’s a Turisur boat with 2 stops and a couple hundred passengers Overall, we paid about us 10$ more than we would have at the port directly from Turisur, much more if you pay cash w blue rate conversion. Presumably we paid for middlemen and absolutely NO help, directions or facilitation to make the journey easier. I guess we got the tickets in advance - only benefit. I would HIGHLY recommend doing the boat trip on your own: - look up Turisur online maybe you can buy them. They have an office in town or buy them day of at Puerto Pañuela. - take the 20 bus to the port. It’s 96 pesos and about an hour from city center. Runs frequently. - the Cau Cau boat looks a little nicer so consider that option to. - the boat right itself and the two stops at the Forrest and preserve we’re great!! Really beautiful.
The scenery is undoubtedly spectacular, but this really is just a very expensive water taxi. It's not that comfortable either. Rather a costly ride for 1h15 on one island and 45 minutes in a forest. Both were nice to visit, but these companies have tourists cornered into paying a lot to see them. Add to it the very pricey entry into the park itself ($20 per person in 2022).
Nice location and pretty sights. Be prepared to pick up tickets from the agency ahead of time, then you’re just one of many (100?) people on the excursion. If possible, buy the boat ride tickets from the ferry terminal and save $$$.
Packed boat trip. Efficient operation! Nice stop on Victoria Island (2 hours). Lovely and peaceful place. Stunning views of the lake and the Andes. Rain forest walk was a little underwhelming - so many people!
national parks were not interesting enough. the boat ride was quite scenic though. time in the first park should be shortened.
This tour was recommended by the hotel so we took it, there is another tour at the same dock - Cao Cao, that looked as nice ifr not better. The hike on Arrayanes was short, would have preferred longer, but the place was scenic. The Victoria island trip was better, because the tour guide actually gave us some history. We were the only english speakers, so she did accomodate us by giving us a summary in english before addressing the rest of the group in spanish
Even though it was all in Spanish (which meant I really got to practice my listening skills) this was still a fantastic trip filled with beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable, I even managed to learn a few things with the language barrier.
I don't think it's worth it, it's a long way and there's not much to see or do for what it costs. you couldn't pay by card in the cafeteria just cash
Arrive at Victoria Island after touring the island of Arrayanes, depart from Puerto Pañuelo, the catamaran Cau Cau, in Victoria Island it is convenient to go with guided tour, special mention to Ms Natalia, explained EVERYTHING about the conifers, history, super interesting, the unforgettable landscape
A dream adventure. The colors and aromas of nature that fuel life. Trails to explore and find the wonders of Bariloche
Beautiful family adventure, water with its different nuances because of the thaw, the flora of the forests of arrayans and the culmination on beautiful Victoria Island. Dazzling landscapes with excellent attention from guides.
Beautiful full day excursion. With several activity options, depending on what you feel like or can do. Beautiful landscapes. Very highly recommended
Well, personally, the tour was with a guide only on Victoria Island.. in Los Arrayanes it is for Your account… they tell the reserve history of the island and its biological importance
We were 4 adults and we had a great time. There is little walking and you can enjoy the landscape from the Catamaran and then on land. Victoria Island has hiking trails and El Toro Beach is very beautiful! It's worth visiting
The navigation is nice although very long and the destination is not worth it. The forest almost without myrtles with a tea house that looks like a horror house. And on the unmaintained Victoria Island, on the beach there is a half-destroyed and abandoned cafeteria, and the candy store that is operating is almost the same as the previous one. Don't waste your time or money on this excursion
The truth is, ugly, a forgotten place, without maintenance, the tea house is disgusting, nothing like what one imagines, you enter the tea house, like a neighborhood store. Very, very abandoned everything.
The day before we asked to cancel the excursion because we saw that there was going to be more than 35 knots of wind, which would make navigation difficult. And even after more than 24 hours, they do not give us a refund. Winds of 35 knots are 70km/h
Leaves the port Tissues. The journey is beautiful and calm. We arrived at Victoria Island and the walk with the guide was enjoyable. They give two options: a trekking walk or a quieter one, which is the one we chose. The guide is very friendly and attentive to your questions and explains the flora of the place and its history. We had been warned to bring food because there are not many options on the island and the few that there are are expensive. Then we left for Bosque de Arrayanes. It's a quiet walk, but it's true that it's nothing out of this world. On the boat the guides give varied and entertaining information although it is true that they insist too much on buying the photos.
We all took the Catamaran Caucau to tour the Nahuel huapi and do the excursions to Isla Victoria and Bosque de Arrayanes. The boat is equipped with all the necessary comforts (cafeteria, bathroom, photo service, somewhat windy first level to take the best photos) which makes the one-hour trip a very nice experience.
We went with Cau-Cau. EXCELLENT everything! The divine guides and the Catamaran were super good. Adapted for people with disabilities who travel in a wheelchair, as it has an elevator and a space especially designed to be with the chair.
This tour is very worth it. We were in Bariloche in 2014 and had already done the tour. We returned in August and it was already on our list of priorities. The landscapes are magnificent. The forest has a very different nature, with beautiful colors. Inside the boat there are drinks and food at super affordable prices.
The ride should be good on a sunny day. But unfortunately yesterday was a day of a lot of rain and strong wind. It's definitely not a trip to take these days.
Unforgettable and recommended walk to live the beautiful views offered by the boat ride on the lake. I knew Bariloche from another point of view that I didn't know him and I can't believe I didn't do it before. More than recommended!!
Nice catamaran ride to Victoria Island. Very nice scenery, beaches and a self-service restaurant for a drink. Beautiful views. There's guidance. Arrayane forest....I know...sell it well but... Catamarans arrive with many people and the route through the forest is a few meters. You don’t appreciate it well because you can’t stop to see carefully as there are many people on the tour. Anyway on the Chico Circuit you can see arrayans as well. An avoidable ride.
La experiencia fue increible! tanto los paisajes como el recorrido que hicimos con la guía. Lo volveria a repetir :)
