I did a spa day here. The day includes breakfast and lunch and a 40 minute massage for US$100. The amenities included the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym. The steam sauna wasn’t working. Gym is basic and not cared for but I used weights and the elliptical machine which were fine. Massage was very pleasant. Both breakfast (large buffet selection) and the light lunch were tasty. Rubbish coffee! Only 6 people at the spa all day. Although they say the spa day is 9-5 there was no one telling you to leave at 5 and I left at 5.45 and two other ladies there for the day were still in the pool.
We stayed in the Master Suite for 3 nights.
The pros:
The views are incredible. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food from the restaurant was really good. We even got sandwiches to-go on one of our long days out and they were delicious.
The cons: For the price and being a 5 star hotel, the carpets really need to be replaced or deep cleaned. There are massive stains throughout the halls and inside the rooms. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the town center, so we had to take Ubers when we wanted to go somewhere. A shuttle service into town would have been a nice amenity.
It was underwhelming. This is NOT a five star. By North American standards it is no better than a Holiday Inn. The food was mediocre. The rooms were dirty. The carpet was filthy. The lamps were falling off the stand. Concierge service was good. Staff was pleasant for sure. Just not what you expect for this money. It was a 3.5 star experience.
This hotel is a gem. It’s small but with all the amenities. The breakfast and restaurant are pleasant with solid good food. It’s right on the lake so we especially enjoyed an afternoon cocktail on the grounds at the end of the day. We enjoyed the hot tub late in the afternoon. The concierge was helpful with bike rentals and an early departure. Highly recommended!
We stayed for 5 days, we were delighted with the service, amenities and most importantly the magnificent view of the lake. The reception and concierge were extremely helpful and had everything we could have possibly needed at our disposal. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel is very tranquil and worth a visit anytime in Bariloche, we will certainly be back.
