We very enjoyed our stay at the Alma del Lago Suites and Spa. Our room was fairly basic, with no plugs next to either side of the bed, but other than this, everything was clean and functional with a very comfortable bed. By far the best part of our stay here was the stunning views from our room. One sun rise, in particular, was stunning. The service at the hotel was great. We put in some laundry at reception first thing in the morning using their standard service, expecting to see it returned the following day, but had it back within a matter of hours. We enjoyed a charcuterie board and caesar salad in their upstairs bistro, which at the time was very quiet. The views of the lake here were really fabulous. Overall, this was a really nice hotel to stay in and I would come back here if I were to visit Bariloche again.

Great rooms, perfect location. Note that there is no air conditioning and in hot days the rooms facing the lake may get very hot. The reception will send over fans or whatever you may need to make you comfortable.
Not a positive experience. The room was ok and facing the lake but there is no ventilation or circulation of air at all. At a property that wants to be a 5 star hotel this is unacceptable. The afternoon and evening is miserable in the summer. Perhaps it’s fine in the winter to only have heat, but it cannot be the case unless you have an average hotel at average prices. The pool is also unreasonably hot and musty. The property has all windows along the back wall facing the lake for the pool and the view is wonderful. Not allowing for the windows to open is a flaw I wouldn’t expect in a resort. I would not return the next time we are in the area
Nice hotel in convention location for walking in to town. Reception and breakfast are nice but rooms are a bit small and stuffy. No air con in rooms despite hotel saying there is so but has a ceiling fan which helps. No free water in rooms which is a shame
Warning: this is a 3 star hotel at best, which happens to have a spa attached. In no particular order: - rude reception staff (except Christian, who did his best) - no coffee in rooms - no ironing facilities in the whole hotel(!!!) so don't bring a nice shirt with you during your trip. This meant we couldn't wear our nice clothes for New Year's Eve. - water in room not refilled daily - very basic gym with no weights machines, I've seen better in motels - hard policy of check out at 11am, or USD125 surcharge. No flexibility even for 1 hour if your room is available. - floor in the pool room is extremely slippery bordering on dangerous. I saw people fall over. - after check out you cannot use ANY facilities, not even showers. I've never heard of anything like this after staying at 500+ hotels worldwide. Absolutely appalling. - 2 star breakfast, basically just bread, some measly croissants, old eggs, and cakes. No yogurt, no fresh eggs, no pancakes/waffles, only weak filter coffee. - no aircon in rooms even though Bariloche can get very hot in the summer The worst 5 star hotel we have ever been to!!! Clearly the manager replying to reviews on here is not taking any feedback on board, despite what he/she says.
