We had a lovely day with Tomas visiting Montserrat. Our planning was short notice and he made it so very easy, we didn't need to worry about any logistics. He took care of everything! He was a great storyteller and wonderful person to share the train ride to and from! He loves history and is well travelled. Great guide!

Exploring Montserrat with Tomas was an absolute pleasure. He shared his knowledge of the history and spiritual significance of the monastery with great enthusiasm and appreciation. Tomas made sure that we were able to hear the Boy's Choir as they performed below the holy icon of the Black Madonna. Awesome experience.

We really enjoyed our day trip with Hannah. She was a wealth of information and made the visit wonderful. We especially enjoyed the boys choir and local farmers market.

Elvira was fun and very informative! Our day went very smoothly and was stress free. I highly recommend doing this day trip with Elvira. She knows all the ends and outs for public transportation ( which is a little confusing and very time specific). She is very personable and caters the info provided to your groups interests!

From the moment we came into contact with Elvira in planning our day trip to Montserat a d the Graus winery she was incredible. Ilona was our guide for two tremendous station in Barcelona. She has vast knowledge of its history, is very personable, and will modify the excursions to fit your desires.

The train, the vehicular and the cable car were great experiences. Alan our guide went the extra mile. It would have been wonderful to be able to walk and appreciate the full Stations of the Cross had time permitted. A very long walk on the mountain side so peaceful. Thanks for a great day Alan. Had a lovely personal walking tour with Elvira. She was delightful! (Now, excuse my spelling.) Went to El Drac de Sant for pinchos, Jordi, the market, Mendizabal for vermouth and pintxos of fuet bonuelos (codfish cake) chistorra sausage, pimento del piquillo with codfish, catalan came and Cava. 2nd stop at Mendizabal had escalivada (roasted veggies including peppers, onion, eggplant covered with aioli on top of coca (bread) with garlic sauce and Vermouth. 3rd place LaBodega had Albondigas—Spanish meatballs, Russian salad, bomba (meatball rolled in mashed potatoes, with white wine. Then a takeaway Horchata of Tiger nuts: Chauffa. Yes, we could eat no more when we were done! This was during the later stages of Covid, and we needed a Covid test to get on our ship, so Elvira was so nice to set an appointment nearby to get Covid test at a low price. Love Elvira, and Withlocals!

Great day trip if you're in Barcelona for more than a few days. Absolutely breathtaking views from Monserrat. Make sure your guide takes you on the short hike (moderate difficulty) to get to the cross where you can see the Pyreenes and the border with France - absolutely gorgeous and serene. Sebastian was a great guide who knew a lot about the history of the monestary. You could also tell he's done the tour many times as he timed everything perfectly (you need to take a cable car up/down from the monestary and then a train in/out of Barcelona). He also gave us the advice that Saturday was a great day to visit as Sundays are incredibly crowded as many from the region travel for the Sunday church services.

I had today the best ever tour with Luis. He took us to Montserrat by car. My friend and I spend the best day in Spain. We always remember Luis

There was no transportation at the address they gave. We could not take the trip. It was really bad communication and arrangement. We lost the whole day and a great experience of sightseeing because of your vendors poor communication.

Great guide with excellent knowledge of the city. We went to Monserrat as well Which was a great side trip. The Gaudi houses and the Sagrada Familia walking tour was great and informative. We bought tickets online to go into the cathedral since her tour did not include the interior of the church. This allowed us to use the audio tour at our leisure...perfect ending for a super tour.

Laura was amazing! She shared so much information on Montserrat but also on Catalonian culture. We had plenty of opportunity to explore and she shaped the tour based on our interests. This was the best way to experience Montserrat in my opinion.

Not only was Lusi super informative but she was a ball of positive energy. We had a cold and windy day to hike in Montaeratt and she made it feel warm and calm. By the end of the day we connected in such a real way that we were sharing personal stories and places to eat....

Samira is great! It was our first day in Barcelona, so we hadn't figured anything out yet. Samira took care of everything, our train tickets and gondola tickets, she took us to all the exciting places in Montserrat, and pointed us in the right direction for food afterwards. She skillfully guided us to and through our destination and timed everything perfectly. Our trip to Montserrat with Sebastian as our guide was perfect. We probably should have booked a longer day though since Sebastian had so much to explain and take us to see. He is knowlegeable and provided us with great details and history which was very interesting.

Our magical day at Montserrat was just that! Not only was Sebastian was a great tour guide but he's very knowledgeable about its history and the history of Spain in general. We learned a lot about this incredible monestary as we walked and climbed through the tour. The stop for cheese was also great. Although we love Barcelona and have visited it several times over the years for business and pleasure, it is nevertheless very nice to get out of town into the country side to visit here. Our guide Luci, was just great, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and real fun....so much so that we would gladly go out with her for a drink and or dinner even without the tour. (if you go on this tour ask for her) The site requires a bit of steep walking but if you are even reasonably fit it is not a problem. Also go early to avoid the crowds.

We had a lovely day in Montserrat with Tomas, he was knowledgeable, friendly and really made the day special for us. After the tour he pointed us in the right direction for local tapas, rather than being restricted to the usual tourist haunts. Thank you.

Let's just start with a recommendation... If you select one tour while in Barcelona, make sure that Natalia is your guide! She is smart, personable, genuine and considerate. We enjoyed the sites of Monserrat immensely, but we also enjoyed spending the day with Natalia as well. Her pre tour communication was exceptional, she had every step of the process down pat, and she made each step feel like my wife, parents and I had just added a member of the family for the day. My family has been fortunate enough to travel and tour in some great places and I feel as though we know the difference between a good and great tour experience - Natalia was one of (if not THE) best!!!

Our day trip to Montserrat with Natalia was wonderful. Natalia made our trip enjoyable and stress free. Natalia communicated with us the evening before and morning of our scheduled trip due to the potential of wildfires in the area. We were able to adjust the timing of our trip rather than cancel due to Natalia’s diligence. Natalia’s knowledge of the area made it easy for us to enjoy our trip.

Would strongly suggest looking for a different company for a trip to Montserrat. There were four of us on our trip. The other couple booked items in Montserrat separately, unrelated to our trip. Once we arrived, our guide spent at least 10 minutes working scheduling and location for the other couple on their bookings. As a result, we missed seeing the Black Virgin, one of about only 250 in the world. Then we waited 35 minutes for them to get to the meeting place to return to Barcelona. They each had a conflicting reason why they were late. Hire a different company if you want to be treated equally for your money.

Tomas was our tour guide for our trip to Montserrat. He was on time and well organized. He was very knowledgeable about the monastery and answered all of our questions. So far he has been the highlight of our trip. He also gave us some excellent suggestions for restaurants. We will definitely use Tomas again when we are in Barcelona.

Our trip to Montserrat with Sebastian was the highlight of our Barcelona adventure! He is a wonderful guide, delightful person, patience and knowledgeable. He made this \u201Cmagical\u201D day even better than we had hoped. I only wished I had more days there as I would have done a few more local tours with him for sure. He was amazing!

Terrific experience and Lusi was a blast! Local knowledge matters! The Hike, views and charm of Monserrat were all wrapped together in an efficient day. Knowing the timing of when to enter and leave the boys choir was essesntial to getting on thefirst train back to Barcelona. Our group of four had a fantastic time with Eugenia while visiting Barcelona! She had the entire day planned out and gave us options to adjust along the way. As we traveled she explained what we were seeing in the countryside and we all got to know one another. She was great helping us navigate the trains and logistics and ensured we all were comfortable. Once on site she was terrific adjusting tour to what we wanted to see and do. We had a terrific time and would signup with her again on our next trip to Barcelona!

If in Barcelona area this is a must do. Hannah was a wonderful guide for our trip to Montserrat. She made the trip stress free and very interesting and ensured we got the most out of our limited time. Tip: Skip the boys choir unless this is really important to you. Church was packed to the rafters and very uncomfortable so we left. To get a good seat would consume considerable chunk of time.

Natalia was a wonderful host who shared not only her knowledge of Montserrat but also her experiences in Barcelona. Natalia is charming and smart. She communicated clearly, was flexible and a great conversationalist. We truly enjoyed our time with Natalia.

This tour is a MUST in Barcelona.. it's a very nice place to spend a day with family. The mountains and rock formations are so nice and the monastery is wonderful . Our guide , her name is LUSI is the best you can have , in my opinion. She is very knowledgeable and her timing to see all around Monserrat is amazing . Lively, fun , patience to be with. We absolutely loved Natalia! She was on time, very knowledgeable but most importantly she was super personable and our kids loved her! In fact, they kept asking if she was meeting us the next day:) She made our little outing a great family experience despite the crazy summer heat. It really felt like going on a trip with a good friend.

Lusi was great! She was energetic, knowledgeable, professional and even got my 19 and 15 boys engaged. Lusi met us at the train station and took care of everything! What an amazing day with Sebastian! First off I had the date and the day mixed up but Sebastian graciously changed his arrangements around to accommodate me. A delightful host who is very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics.

We had a wonderful day with Eugenia. We took the train out to Montserrat and chatted the whole time - learning about life in Barcelona as well as what our options were for Montserrat. We really enjoy hiking, so Eugenia took us on a "locals only" hike around the around and we still got to see the most important elements of this historical site. Walking through the farmer market with her was a lot of fun too. She new some of the vendors and we tasted some delicious cheeses, nuts, fruits etc. Some of the cheese actually was so well sealed it didn't need refrigeration (I was skeptical but it was true). So even though I am back in California, I am still enjoying some cheese from this day trip! If you'd like to have the feeling of visiting Montserrat with a friend who will take care of you - show you the sights and take away any worries about which train to catch or where to go - Eugenia is excellent. Chatting with her and getting a local's insight into living in Barcelona was as much of a cultural experience for me as visiting this site to be honest. Both were great.

What a trip this was ! 6 of us and Lusi had planned it to the T . We were running late but yet Lusi was patient and calm . We managed to catcb the train right in the nick of time . My family and I had a wonderful day trip with Sebastian to Montserrat. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Sebastian was also able to keep our three daughters (ages 17, 15 & 10) engaged throughout the day. Highly recommend this trip to Montserrat and Sebastian as a tour guide!

We took a tour to Montserrat from Barcelona with Eugenia. She has a very lively, exuberant and warm personality that made us felt very comfortable right away. We chose what we wanted to see and how much walking or hiking we wanted to do because the surrounding area was truly beautiful. Eugenia took care of all the train tickets and entrance tickets. I highly recommend Eugenia as a guide, her communication and English is excellent so we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with her. By the end of our tour she's more like a local friend!
