Two Countries In One Day: Spain & France

Antoine(Tony) was the best guide ever!!!! The tour, yes it was long, but totally wonderful. Highly recommend Tony and this tour.

Tony was a very informative guide. We discussed about different sites and history on our way to France and back to Barcelona

Guillermo was a very informative guide, and our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We traveled with six other folks in an extremely comfortable van and headed through the Pyrenees to Collioure first. When I picture a French seaside town this is exactly what I had in mind. We had a couple of hours to wander around, shop, have some lunch and wander some more. Very walkable and views were amazing. For those who wanted, there’s a small beach and you can take a dip in the Mediterranean! We headed back towards Barcelona and made our next stop in Girona. Another absolutely beautiful area with so much history. Buildings dating back to the early centuries with some original parts still in place. He walked a group around and pointed out all of the historical sites and buildings and those that didn’t want to go were free to wander, sit in the square, go through the shops, visit the vendor stalls or have a snack at one of the many little restaurants. After about an hour or so we headed back to the van and drove the rest of the way back to Barcelona. There was a small amount of traffic but nothing major and we were back to our drop off spot as scheduled. I travel with portable oxygen and a walker and I found this trip extremely easy. Other than a few sets of stairs, everything was fairly level. Girona does have some cobblestones, but I didn’t walk much and opted for sitting in the square and just enjoying the sun and people watching. Guillermo was absolutely wonderful about making sure that they didn’t travel too fast when we were walking and assisting us getting my walker in and out of the van. I highly recommend this. tour and I can’t believe that we were able to see France while on our trip to Barcelona.

The cities of colloure and girona were interesting to see. Antwan was an excellent guide. It did involve a great deal of time in the car ( more than half the total time)

This tour experience was great, informative, beautiful, and fun. Our guide GUIDI was excellent!!! The pastries in Girona and the lunch by the Mediterranean seaside were the highlights.

We had a great guide for our trip. His name was Antonio (Tony). First of all he picked us up on time.He was very professional but also very informative and friendly at the same time. He took us to Collioure, France and Girona, Spain. They were both nice but Collioure was our groups favorite place. It was a beautiful little village with picturesque scenery. We would go there again if given the opportunity. We would also love to have Antonio (Tony) as a guide again he was fantastic.

Our tour guide was great Papa Bear was very informative and nice I would request him again. France had a beautiful view and great food.

We really enjoyed our day with Antoine (Tony). He made the trip more enjoyable. He had so much history information. I love the stories he told us about the towns we went to. You could tell he really enjoyed what he does. Tony made it so fun for us with his excitement. The places we went were so cool. Thank you, Tony, for a great day.

Family of five had a wonderful time with Papa Bear in Spain and France. He's the best guide we've had out of the six we spent time with this week. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend him for your tour.

We covered Madrid, Seville and Barcelona in our trip and this tour was by far the best of the trip... Fabrizio was amazing!!! I would say it was Fabrizio who made this trip so enjoyable. We had a great tour. Our guide/driver was Antonio (Tony) .He was awesome.First of all he was on time to pick us we definitely appreciated that. He was also very knowledgeable about both destinations. He took us to Collioure France and Girona Barcelona. We loved both but our group really loved the beauty of Collioure the most. If we ever went back to Barcelona we would try to get Antonio (Tony) as a guide again,

Papa Bear was the best! We had such a wonderful time and experience. His knowledge, sense of humor and attitude was awesome! He took all the pictures of us and gave us the best tips of where to take them too! Absolutely wonderful experience worth every penny. Must do in Barcelona!

We had a great time traveling to Collioure and Girona. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and made the day great!

We were not able to get on the tour the driver looked at my tickets and daid we were not on his tour. I made reservation on July for 3 adults and an infant. The driver repeatedly said I was not on his tour. Were I contacted the tour company on the viator app, there was no response. When the company was contacted by viator they, the tour company told viator that they had left. Three individuals got on the tour and they were allowed access my family and I were not. Although a reservation for us was booked and it was valid. I asked for a refund and I was told they had to review because I did not show up. I was there for over 50 minutes, 30 before and 20 after trying to figure out what was wrong with the reservations. Still have not received word on my refund. If you are traveling with an infant, I would not book with this company.

It is quite a bit of driving but the van is comfortable and Papa bear makes it go quickly and feel safe with driving. The history of girona and bridges and architecture was interesting.

Girona, a charming town, left us wanting more. Our tour guide, lacking in knowledge, merely walked us around the perimeter, leaving us wanting to explore at our own pace. Located about an hour from Barcelona, Girona is a must-visit destination. The drive to Collioure, a picturesque seaside town, was underwhelming. On our own, we explored Collioure, a town that exudes charm. However, the cramped Renault car, accommodating only seven passengers, made the journey feel cramped. Despite being a small group, the tour lacked a personal touch. I was eagerly anticipating the sights and experiences, but unfortunately, they fell short of my expectations.

Guillermo took us from Madrid to Girona where we saw some beautiful architecture, then we moved on to the South Coast of France “Coulliar”. Beautiful town with many restaurants on the edge of the Sea. Lovely trip!

we had a fantastic time with antoine as our guide for this excursion. he was an expert at knowing the history of girona, extremely kind and gave us excellent recommendations of where to spend our time in france.

It was a beautiful trip with great pacing. We got to have brunch in Girona before going on a chill and insightful walking tour around the city, all thanks to Papa Bear. Free time at Collioure was also very much appreciated as we got to have a delicious lunch from Papa Bear’s recommendation, swam in the beach, then got gelato before heading back to Barcelona. If it were possible to give 6 stars, we would.

Ivan was our guide and he was wonderful, very knowledgeable of Catalan history regarding Girona. Loved Girona and Coulliore, well worth the money!

A little rushed, show up on time. The town of colloure was great, but not a sandy beach, a rocky beach. Guide was great, very knowledgeable and friendly!

We had a great day visiting Girona and Collioure with Ivan! We stopped for a quick coffee where we got to spend some time with him talking about history. Girona was beautiful and he showed us specific Game of Thrones shooting locations. The drive was nice and gave us an opportunity for napping(this was our last day of vacation). Collioure was a nice last stop for us. Calming, peaceful and strolling around-not in a hurry. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Papa Bear did a magnificent job of explaining all the history of Girone and Colluior. I would highly recommend this tour and in particular ask for Papa Bear as your guide!!

I highly recommend this day trip. Anthony was our tour guide and he got us to and from every location safely and in a timely manner. During the ride he gave us some history of the area. The cities we visited were easy to navigate and get around without car. We had plenty of time to go swimming, eat, and shop in France. As well the ride from France to Girona was beautiful.

William was a good guide, well-informed, pleasant, friendly, and spoke French, English, and Spanish for our group. We were able to explore historic and beautiful Girona and take the scenic route through the Pyrenees, all before arriving in Coulliere for lunch. I did feel like I was in France! Even so close to Spain. We enjoyed the village, ate lunch and got ice cream on our own. I stepped into the Mediterranean Sea for the first time. I was able to have access to bathrooms as needed for a day trip. It was worth it to drive a couple hours to visit France.

The tour with Papa Bear was awesome! He has such great energy and is so knowledgeable. He’s super friendly, fun, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend touring with Papa Bear! 🐻😊

After spending multiple days touring Barcelona, this was a great trip to slow things down. Girona was a beautiful city with tons of history, and Collioure made for a great retreat away from the big city. “Papa Bear” was a great tour guide with plenty of useful information. He was very fun and you could tell he enjoyed his job, but knew to let the group nap during some of the longer parts of the ride which was much appreciated. You will be lucky to have him if he is your tour guide.

We had an amazing time. Our guide was PapaBear and he was awesome. He had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend him to anyone doing this excursion.

Is was great!! Popa was very personable, kind, knowledgeable of each of the cities we toured. During our tour, there were two women that were very rude. When the women were asked to recount the events to the other tour guide, possibly supervisor, they lied. The entire group were not pleased with those ladies. They were just a pair of those people you are not going to make happy. However, we, could not have asked for a better tour guide

This tour to Girona, Spain, and Collioure, France was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Barcelona! It was the perfect way to experience two beautiful destinations in one unforgettable day. The tour was extremely well organized, and everything flowed smoothly from beginning to end. Despite seeing so much in one day, we never felt like the experience was anything less than enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour and especially Papa Bear! If you're staying in Barcelona and want to experience the beauty of both Spain and France, this is a fantastic way to do it. Our guide ( Papa Bear) was amazing! Knowledgeable and quite funny! He helped us learn great deal of history and had great recommendations for food and places to see. The time in France however was only 2 hours. This is not enough to grab something to eat, visit the town or any other attraction.

This tour was a great way to get a taste of the south of France while also exploring Girona. Ivan was our guide and did a great job explaining the history! You do spend quite a bit of time in the vehicle, as to be expected.

Excellent service by Ivan. He went into detail and explained each location and the history. As we were driving, he would give us details of certain locations. I will 1000% recommend this trip to anyone, single, couples or as a family. This is a must do tour while in Barcelona.

It was amazing! Antoine took the time to explain the areas we traveled through and at each stop. His knowledge of not only French, but also. Spanish culture was fascinating. As a fellow Geographer we talked almost non stop thru-ought the day. We still talk about the day.

Our driver did an excellent job even though we were late leaving to come back not his fault we ran into traffic
