We had such a fun night in Bangkok with Nok! We were jet-lagged and found Bangkok at night to be overwhelming, so we are so glad we had Nok there to show us around. We went a temple, got a Thai astrology reading, went to a night market, and then headed to Chinatown to experience Lunar New Year! Nok was super friendly and knowledgeable, she was also able to customize our tour to what we wanted to do. We really enjoyed our evening, thank you so much Nok! :)

Sebastian was very knowledgeable and informative. We had booked the Treasures of Barcelona: Gaudi tour but had seen the Gaudi buildings the previous day. Sebastian pivoted to giving us a tour of the Gothic area which was phenomenal! We will book him again the next time we’re in Barcelona.

Sebastian was an amazing guide—warm, friendly, funny. He seemed to have a bottomless source of facts, pictures, and stories about Barcelona and its rich history and beautiful architecture that really brought it all to life for my daughter and myself. Ellie was absolutely wonderful in planning our private outside tour of the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and my plan to propose to my, now fiancé. At the appropriate time and place I gave her my phone to video and take pictures. It was absolutely perfect and she was a wonderful photographer for us! The tour and information provided were top notch and made our interior visit afterwards absolutely enjoyable. I cannot recommend Ellie more highly for great communication, outstanding information and a no rush experience that absolutely made my additional request a memory we will always treasure.

We really enjoyed our tour with Araya. The tour covered Thailand's rich history and culture, as well as some customs and tips for the subway system, ordering food, nightlife, and much more. Ellie was great. She walked us around the exterior of the basilica and explained the significance of the structures. She provided us with historical context about Gaudi and subsequent architects. Lastly, she told us what to look for once we went into the church. By the way, tickets were sold out when we tried to get them but she was able to find tickets through a third party for us. I highly recommend her tour.

We (4 adults) spent the morning with Ellie. She did an excellent job of explaining the history of Gaudi to us and showing us the many examples of his work. We also went to Park Guell. The best part was her knowledge of the exterior of the Sagurda Familia! She really made the entire project make sense to all of us. Would definitely use her again and highly recommend her.

Laura was a wonderful guide. She came prepared with illustrations on her phone to explain all the elements of design and thoughts of expression of the Guadi buildings. She showed us various neighborhoods and some really cool local markets off the beaten path. An excellent experience all around.

We visited Barcelona in September and from the moment we met Pilar we were put at ease and knew we were in good hands. We chose to extend our tour to Park Guell followed by lunch and tour outside Sagrada Familia and inside. Being an artist myself, it was a pleasure to share insights, and get a thorough understanding of Gaudis motivations, intentions and genius. The following day we visited The Salvador Dali museum in Figueres, (highly recommend!) followed by lunch on the Costa brava beachfront topped off with a visit to Pilars glass studio where we were able to get a thorough understanding of her work and techniques. The crowning glory are the pieces that she designed and installed expertly at the Sagrada Familia. All in all we were treated to two fantastic days we will never forget. Thank you, Pilar!

Irina was communicative before the event, met us promptly at the appointed space and time, was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. She curated a tour based on the interest we expressed to her, and she adapted it on the fly when we encountered an ever so special Parade of the Giants, which was unexpected until Irina told us we were visiting the week before La Castanyada. Excellent tour and exceptional tour guide, whom we would highly recommend!

Ellie was the perfect tour guide, providing in-depth explanations of what inspired Antoni Gaudi's designs and pointing out details in his architecture we would never have noticed on our own. English is her native language, and she also speaks fluent Spanish and Catalon. We only had one day to spend in Barcelona, and the tour was well worth the time and cost, especially since it included skip-the-line tickets into Basilica de la Sagrada Familia.

Bianca is a very good guide! We had a little trouble connecting with Bianca prior to our tour, but she was very accommodating with our itinerary and limited accessibility with walking steps! We wanted to visit Casa Batlló (marine world architecture) and Barri Gothic (Barrio Gothic). She is very down to earth and friendly! Bianca has a background in architecture and was very informative about the intricate details that Gaudi included in his design which helped us better understand what Gaudi had in mind for the building. As we toured Gothic barrio Bianca shared more interesting details about many of the amazing structures and its history starting with the Romans through modern times. Lastly we had requested some suggestions for restaurants serving “daily menu” Paella dishes, she came through with two options, we enjoyed great lunch at one of them. We would recommend Bianca to our friends & family visiting Barcelona.

Lounis was a wonderful guide . He took us around Barcelona and shared some great information about the city . He also showed us where to get good coffee and churros . He was flexible, friendly and professional . We would highly recommend Lounis .

Ellie was on time, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the history and symbolism of the cathedral design and Gaudi’s vision for this monument as well the plans for future additions and renovations that are ongoing. We sincerely enjoyed our time with Ellie and would highly recommend her! P.S. don’t forget to download the Cathedral audio App so you can listen while inside the cathedral. We tried to download when we arrived and it would not work as we were not on wifi.

Just wanted to let you know that I spent 7 hrs on a tour with Irina from “with locals “ and had a fantastic day of history and sightseeing in Barcelona. Covered over 16 km and couldn’t have asked for a better day spent seeing and learning all I could in a short period of time. I definitely recommend this business and Irina in particular!! I am so fortunate!!!!

Bianca shared so much about Barcelona that enriched the rest of our stay. What we learned about the city’s development over the ages made us look differently at buildings and neighborhoods, and helped us navigate. Even though my partner had been to Barcelona many times, Bianca found several famous landmarks he had never known seen. After touring a beautiful market with her, we saved lots of money and ate better by shopping at the traditional markets. She was also very accommodating when I made a scheduling error, which was much appreciated. I highly recommend Bianca as a guide!

La Sagrada Familia would be fascinating and captivating walking in knowing nothing about it. Pili was such a great guide. Her personal experience and immense admiration for Gaudi really gave color to an already vibrant experience. She explains why the temple is so impressive in a way that lets you experience it even more deeply and with a greater appreciation of what you’re seeing.

Philippe was terrific! We were in Barcelona for the first time and Philippe immediately knew us as far as what areas of the city would interest us while still sharing the history of Gaudi, Barcelona, and Spain. He gave us different perspectives of the culture. He was kind, and patient.

We had an enjoyable tour/conversation with Pili. She brought up probably the most important aspect of Gaudi's architectural vision - everything in the design of the facade and interiors of his buildings is focused on manipulating light to achieve a desired effect. It's a simple and profound insight that she illustrated and commented on while we were walking past the Casas and around Sagrada Familia. Pili has a great personality, she was flexible with the schedule and overall a pleasure to have her as a guide to the light and heart of Barcelona

We had a great tour with Ellie of the outside of the Sagrada Familia Church. Then we were able to go in and spend as much time as we wanted inside. Ellie is very knowledgeable and she is American so it was helpful to have someone from our home country for the tour. Highly recommend this tour with Ellie!

Bianca was fabulous - helping us understand the creation and history of the various neighborhoods She then gave us insight into the architects that founded Barcelona look and feel with a fascinating emphasis on Gaudi. Bianca showed us how the Gothic and Born neighborhoods were connected by both layout and history. She took us to her favourite market and bakery as well as gave us insights into places to have coffee and meals. Now we just need to find them again She was energetic and very interesting. Ellie knew everything? We learned so many details about Sagrada we didn't know. It really helped us appreciate the inside by learning about the outside, the meaning of what was built , why, when and even how! It was a bit longer than we thought. But very helpful.

We had a mixed group as in 2 of our group had never been to Barcelona , 1 had been previously & 1 had lived in Barcelona for 10 yrs & he was able to give new information & insight to all . Both the Sagrada Familia and Ellie were a highlight of our time in Barcelona. Ellie was such an informed, informative and interesting guide to this extraordinary building. She filled our tour with good humour as well as knowledge. It was a great pleasure that she had also pre-booked our tickets when we arranged our tour (several months ago) so this aspect of our visit was also taken care of; it was vital as tickets to visit now need to be planned for and booked well in advance.

Great tour with our new friend Marcelo. He was on time and walked us through many different Gaudi treasures. At each one, he provided us with insight regarding each building. Along the way, we learned many facts about Barcelona. He was on time to our meeting place and made sure to communicate to me via What's App prior to our date. My family and I - we have 10 year old twins - had a great morning in Barcelona with Marcelo yesterday. Great tour of the Gothic Quarter and Gaudi highlights. Marcelo was extremely knowledgeable and amazing with our children.

Withlocals was the one site that showed availability for La Sagrada Familia 2 days prior to our desired date. I paid 206 Euros upon booking a tour with "Ellie". At 21:45 the night before my booked tour, I received a message saying "SF is booked. Sorry." I understand that I waited too long before booking, not having realized that tours are at a premium. But why the hell did Withlocals take my money and inform me less than 24 hours before my tour that it's booked?! And then to send the message "SF is booked. Sorry" with no mention of a refund or alternative? The unmitigated gall of this business is shocking. Save your money; apparently they'll just take it for services they have no ability or intention to provide. At this point it's plain theft. Avoid Withlocals at all costs!
