This was a family vacation. Philippe is very knowledgeable, informative and passionate about Catalunya. We received a great overview of the area and also learned about Three Kings day. He was at Green Bike well before the tour began and gave us his full attention. We appreciate Philippe coming out during the Spanish holiday! The bike tour allowed us to see a lot of Barcelona. We always felt safe under his direction and the city is set up for bicycling.

It was a pleasant journey with Philippe to ride the bike to feel the city. He is very knowledgable, introducing the city in an interesting and easy to understand way to us. Strongly recommend to add this experience to your trip!

Our group of 4 was treated to a wonderful walking tour of Barcelona with a focus on Gaudi from Philippe. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and took us to wonderful places. After Sagrada Familia he suggested a fantastic spot for lunch near Sagrada. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tomas. He took us from the old town to the harbor and then Barceloneta with informative stops along the way. Tomas is attentive to the comfort of his riders checking in regularly to be sure we didn't need a break. The only critique would be we spent a lot of time at the harbor. Since this was a highlights tour, we would've enjoyed going by a few of the other highlights of Barcelona. That being said, we are very happy that we planned this activity and had Tomas as our guy

Philippe provided intriguing stories about Gaudi, interesting information about the history of Catalunya, and helpful insight into the culture and perspectives of the locals. We appreciated that he pointed out the highlights of the Sagrada Familia that we should not miss before we went in for that part of the tour. The bike ride was lovely and a really fun way to get around the city. Philippe has a wry sense of humor and liked questions and banter. We would definitely recommend him as a guide!

We had a fantastic time biking around the old city and along the beach with our guide, Lounis. He was so passionate about his love of history and Barcelona and was extremely patient and helpful with reccomendations. I would give him 10 stars if possible. Using a local guide and going private might cost a little more than having one of those big company tours but I can't say enough how much it's worth it because it's completely personalized to what you want to do and at your pace - it's the difference between coach and first class on an airplane, basically - you may see the same sights but your journey is so much more enriching (and to be clear this was not nearly as expensive a difference, just a little more money we'll spent). This was my 1st time using withlocals and I can't reccomend it enough - if you are lucky to find yourself in this fascinating City, book Lounis, you will be amazed!

From the start, Phillipe treated us as old friends. With just two of us, we felt we received a plethora of information and knowledge of what we toured/visited. The time spent was filled with not only the history of Barcelona, but also local tidbits, personal conversations and even recommendations of what to visit/eat during our stay. Wish we could take Phillipe along with us through the rest of journey!

We booked a last minute family barcelona bike tour with Lounis, which he customized to the needs of our family, which has a big age range. He arranged the rental of bikes at an easy to find location, and off we went! We saw all the main sights of Barcelona, stopped at a market for tasting food, cruised the beach, took pictures at La sagrada familia and even saw some Gaudi. The hours flew by as we cruised around and learned the history of Barcelona. Lounis is easy going and confident, he knows Barcelona and we loved touring the city with him. Our needs were unique and he surpassed our expectations. Thank you for a fantastic day in Barcelona!

Marcel was wonderful. He is extremely knowledge and showed us many hidden gems. We did a 5 hour bike tour and could have continued it was so interesting. We stopped at local market where he treated us to some local bites . Our only regret is that we didn’t do this on day 1 of our trip . Elvira is the best guide EVER!! We started our 5-6 hour e-bike tour in l’Eixample where we were staying at H10 Casa Mimosa. Elvira met us there, and we picked up our bikes nearby. We saw many beautiful Gaudi buildings in addition to many other beautiful architectural masterpieces and landmarks, rode all around l’Eixample and throughout the Gothic Quarter where Elvira took us through a labyrinth of streets and landmarks, so cool! We had lunch at a great food market, and ended our tour at La Sagrada Familia where we returned the bikes and where we had previously booked tickets. DO NOT MISS SF, IT IS SPECTACULAR!! Anyway, Elvira is just the best, so kind, so knowledgeable, and I can’t imagine anybody who we would rather spend a day with, she’s amazing! If you have the chance to book with Elvira, do not hesitate, it’ll be an experience you’ll always remember😊!!

Our bike tour led by Lounis provided a comprehensive overview of Barcelona. Lounis showed us highlights of the gothic section, taking us on small local side streets, to the beach as we had requested, and to a scenic overlook of the city. We took the bike tour on our first day in Barcelona and marked all the places we would like to return to. Lounis was friendly, knowledgeable about history and culture, and attentive to what we wanted to see. Highly recommend.

Stay off the tour buses and see Barcelona by bike - the ride was safe and easy, the perfect way to cover a lot of ground while staying cool. Lounis was a cheerful and attentive guide who tailored a perfect afternoon. Biking in Barcelona gives you the best of both worlds - you will cover more ground and have the breeze in your hair. We were limited to 3 days in Barcelona and chose Phillippe from With Locals to help us explore the city on our first day. His knowledge was excellent and we covered a huge area in what seemed like a small amount of time, simply because we had the ease of riding the bikes. We only had 48 hours in Barcelona after flying in from the States, and Alan gave us such a wonderful overview of the city and it’s fascinating history. We met the morning after we landed for a bike tour and toured through the Gothic Quarter, El Born and then riding along the beach. He was very friendly and we loved his enthusiasm about the city and sites. Barcelona is a very bike friendly city with bike paths throughout, making this a wonderful way to see the city. Alan was very knowledgeable about its history and it made the tour that much more special as he would stop along the way to point out important pieces of history along the way. We learned so much! Definite top highlight of our weekend and now we can’t wait to come back and see more of the city.

This was an amazing intro to Barcelona …Jordi is a great guide and we covered so much of the area in the tour! We learned all about the history of Barcelona as well as the live of Gaudi. And Barcelona is such a beautiful city to see via bike! If you get lucky, Jordi will be you guide!

Best part was being able to get information about the things I was interested in and have the tour tailored accordingly.

Marcelo can transform any tourist site into an authentic experience, make you blend in and be part of the vibrant gothic quarter. He was very kind, engaging and informative. We loved the fact that we were able to “co-create” (construct the experience) and he was very responsive to our ideas. Whilst he introduced us to the most important historic, cultural, architectural concepts, we got to eat the best pinchos and churros. Highly recommended if you want to make a memorable experience with your teenagers!

We saw even more than just the Gaudi sites, including Plaça de Sant Jaume, the Homenatge als Castellers, and Wandering Cat in La Raval. We went today with Marcel and he was fantastic He showed us places we would never had found by ourselves Every place we stopped at he explained the complete history of the building or place so we could find out everything The bikes were good and well maintained so it made our riding easy We even got to stop for a local ice cream to complete our ride Marcels English was excellent which made things easy for us

We loved our bike tour of Barcelona with Philippe. He is a great historian and we learned so much about the history of Barcelona as we rode through the city. Philippe was a fantastic host sharing the little gems of knowledge along the way. He is funny and very personable. The Gaudi laterns, homes, and La Familia Sagrada were the highlights for us, but we loved seeing it all. There are great bike lanes in Barcelona, many protected from traffic so we always felt safe. All in all, an amazing time!

Philippe did a great job with the Gaudi bike tour. We were impressed at how easily the navigation on the bike went through most major parts of the city. Philippe has a great sense of humor and great knowledge of Catalonia’s history and culture. We stopped at various locations such as Casa Mila, Sagrada Familia, and Casa Batllo, and Philippe spent a great deal of time pointing out the major historical facts about each location. My 20 year old son and I spent a wonderful couple of hours biking with Jordi in Barcelona. His English was impeccable and his passion for Barcelona, Gaudi, architecture, and sharing his knowledge were exactly what we were looking for. This by far was my favorite part of my six-day vacation in Spain! Not only was it a great way to see Barcelona, but I really, thoroughly enjoyed our guide. Philippe knew his stuff. Agni told us we were her first tour back from the pandemic in over a year and a half, and you would never know it. We had a terrific morning with Philippe. Day two of our first visit to Barcelona - a well curated bike tour with a highly knowledgeable guide was the perfect way to appreciate so much of what makes this city special. Philippe was full of interesting facts, and he presents them in a very engaging way. Having lived in the US for 13 years, his English was excellent too. We were well prepared when we visited the various Goudi attractions later in the week, as he had taught us so much. He also had useful inside tips and set us up with a great dinner at Suculent (highly recommend). Would definitely do this tour again.

I can think of no better person to guide you through the intricate history, political environment and genius that is Gaudi. Philippe's intelligence, wit and sense of humor shine as you spend a few hours with someone who knows the heart of the city inside and out. Pri was amazing there is nothing she didn't know about the history of Barcelona and she had amazing photos and links to inform our discussions. Pri was lovely with my two young boys and she made our trip really magical. I couldn't recommend Withlocals and Pri more it really was a blast.
