Diego was a great guide with so much knowledge and passion for the history he was sharing with. He went out his way to assist and make the tour a success for my needs. I would book again with Diego

Itinerary
Start this tour directly from your hotel or apartment in Barcelona city. We come to pick you up, so please be sure to let us know exactly where you are staying.
Get on the road to head to Tarragona, a beautiful secret of the Mediterranean Coast. Before reaching Tarragona, stop at the Devil’s Bridge, a two-tier Roman aqueduct 217 metres long and 26 metres high, hidden among the pine woods. It carried water to the city for centuries and is still one of the finest examples of Roman engineering in Spain.
Begin your walk through Tarragona, once Tarraco, the capital of one of Rome’s largest provinces in Hispania and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its cobbled streets and shady squares were built right on top of the Roman city.
Get the chance to get inside of the amphitheatre of Tarragona, the 13th UNESCO listed Roman remains. The amphitheater was cut into the hillside leading up from the beach at the start of the second century AD and used to stage Gladiator contests and public executions.
Walk along Tarragona’s Roman walls, among the oldest Roman constructions outside Italy. Some sections date back to the first military camp the Romans set up here.
See the cathedral, built in the 12th to 14th centuries on the site of an ancient Roman temple, where Romanesque and Gothic styles come together.
On the Rambla Nova, stop by the bronze monument to the castellers, the human towers that are one of Catalonia’s most famous traditions, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This basic but beautiful stop is fundamental to understanding Tarragona. The main market, Mercat Central, is located just off Rambla Nova and is housed in a Modernist hallmark building of 1915. This is where the heartbeat of the city lies and where to find fresh and seasonal products of the nearby rural area.
Pass in front of the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona, a public museum with elements and remains of its rich past. It promotes the recovery, conservation, research and dissemination of heritage from the Roman city of Tarraco and its area of influence. Listen to your guide to find out interesting stories of the Roman civilization.
See the large-scale model of Tarraco as it looked at its height in the 2nd century AD, a great way to understand how the Roman city was laid out.
Once in Sitges, enjoy a walking tour through the streets and most hidden corners of its historical center. Discover examples of architectural modernism like Casa Bacardi and get to know about the history of the Bacardi family. If you wish, take the time to sip a refreshing cocktail made by the hand of professional barmen and have a look at the secrets of the art of melting different flavors into colorful and tasty drinks. On sunny days, you can either take the time to relax and take a dip into the clear waters of the San Sebastian beach, known as one of the best urban beaches in Europe.
Admire the 17th-century church standing on its rocky promontory above the sea, the most photographed spot in Sitges.
Enjoy the view of the Mediterranean and if time allows, take a dip at one of the most famous beaches of Europe.

Lluis was an excellent guide full of great information. It was incredible to see and be near structures created by the Roman's and to see how everything was transformed throughout history.
Good tour! Learned interesting details. Would have liked a bit more guidance of activities in Sitges, and more time in Tarragona but overall very much enjoyed!
Great tour! A must if you are in the Barcelona area. Both Sitges and Tarragona are worth seeing. Our guide Eduardo was super nice informative and fun. It’s a small group tour so your guide is a great part of your experience he made our day! The tour is also extra easy since it includes pick up and drop off. Fully recommend!
This was an excellent excursion. Our tour guide Lluís, was very knowledgeable, friendly, kind and engaging. He was also a very safe driver. We commend his work, he is a real asset to Viator.
Diego was great. Learned a lot and had a fun day! Highly recommend!
Liana, was a terrific guide, she adjusted the itinerary to accommodate our needs, was fantastic at explaining the sites and allowed us plenty of time to take photos going at our own pace.
Our guide Lluis was so knowledgeable and easy going, he made the day enjoyable. Never felt rushed, nice clean comfortable van. Great use of a vacation day.
The guide was very informative, funny, passionate, knowledgeable and patient with all of us.
Great tour of Tarragona and Sitges. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Excellent opportunity to learn more about the roman influence in ancient Spain.
Diego provided a wonderful tour of both Tarragona & Sitges. We loved visiting the historical sites (aqueduct, coliseum) and receiving detailed information. The tour is very well paced; it was perfect to end the tour in lovely Sitges having lunch by the sea.
I booked this excursion as a solo traveler, and instantly made friends with everyone in the group. Diego, our fantastic tour guide, made the trip so much fun with his quick wit and extensive knowledge. The stops were perfect, and the length of time at each was an appropriate amount. This is definitely a must do and request Diego for a perfect day!
Diego was a kind, funny, and amazingly knowledgeable guide who shared loads of fascinating information about the Romans with us. If you're interested in Roman history, this is an amazing tour, and if you're lucky you'll get Diego as your guide, who'll make you feel as if he ordered all the sunshine just for you.
This was a nice day trip, and we learned a lot of history about the areas we visited. Our guide Diego was very informative and did a good job. I’m not the biggest history buff, I more so just booked this tour as my parents were with me and I thought they’d enjoy it, so if you’re not into history, it might not be the best tour for you. It was a nice day though and we got some free time in Sitges to do whatever we wanted before heading back to Barcelona.
My husband and I had a wonderful day walking through the old town of Tarragona, exploring the Devil’s Bridge, and finally, strolling along the beach with ice cream in hand at Sitges. Thank you Diego for such a wonderful and informative trip!
A lovely day tour from Barcelona that I’d really recommend. Diego was great! Very knowledgeable about the area. The Roman aqueduct was worth the trip all by itself.
Manu (tour guide) contacted us the night before to advise on pick up hour and weather. Pick was as scheduled and Manu provided all required information and support for a pleasant experience filled with pictures as he serves as your photographer. Highly recommended tour with this reliable company.
Lluis was an excellent guide with great communication. It was easy to coordinate meeting point and time and the tour itself was better than I expected. Lluis made sure we didn't just see a sight here and there, but that we actually walked through the aqua duct bridge, and through the old town streets in Tarragona and Sitges. The bits of history along the way were an added bonus. I would definitely try and do this again when returning with my partner!
We had a great time on our tour. Lluis was efficient, gave a great history of everything we saw in both towns & gave good recommendations. Easy pick up & drop off. Nice way to see Tarragona & Sitges!
This was an amazing experience! I'd like to say thanks to our guide Luís, who demonstrated his deep knowledge about the places we visited. You can tell he really likes what he does! There were four of us, and we all got along really well. The atmosphere was very positive and friendly. I'd like to recommend this tour to anyone thinking about visiting Barcelona's surrounding cities, you won't regret going!
Luis was great! Very informative and engaging. Great driver also!
Tarragona and Sitges by themselves are amazing but what made the trip special was our local guy Diego: professional and dedicated, warm and considerate. Highly recommended!
Diego is a great tour guide, provided a lot of information and support during the tour. It was a great experience. Highly recommended guide, ask for Diego.
Tarragona and Sitges by themselves are simply amazing: rich in history and architectural wonders. But what made the trip special was Diego, our guide and driver. Very knowledgeable and professional, warm and thoughtful. Highly recommended!
Hotel pick up was on time and well managed. We ended up with a private tour for the three of us, which was perfect. Diego was friendly, respectful and very informative throughout the journey. The rain didn't stop us from enjoying a great day trip from Barcelona. It works well to see both Tarragona and Sitges. It never felt like it was too long or tedious. We had enough time to see both and never felt rushed. Two cities each with their own highlights and charm. Thank you, Diego!
Guide was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the day trip and saw many sites. Lots of walking. Would do it again. Wish we had more time to explore.
Our guide Diego made our trip to Spain special for my entire family. Diego is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics. There was never a dull moment! Our groups ages raged from 12 to 90 and everything in-between and he catered portion of the tour to every member of our group. He was so patient with us as we navigated sites with a wheel chair and asked countless questions. I will book another tour with this company and Diego in the future. Thanks for the great time. Visca Catalunya!
Diego is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and caring. He amused us all of us with his stories and great sense of humor. We all enjoyed the experience and had a lot of fun. Diego is very professional, he explained everything in detail and he was very informative. Highly recommended!!
It was very convenient to be picked up at our hotel. Our guide was wonderful, working double duty giving the tour in both Spanish and English. We didn't get as much access to sites as we thought we would. It only included tickets to the Roman Circus, but the aqueduct and amphitheater we could see everything from the outside. This is good for solo travelers but if I was traveling with a family or group, I would rent a car and see the sites yourself. Lunch in Sitges toward the end of the day seemed like a bit of a tourist trap, so I'd recommend bringing snacks and saving your appetite for a nice dinner in Barcelona.
Diego was very knowledgeable and gave us good history facts during the tour. He was also very friendly and made the tour enjoyable. I would highly recommend Diego to anyone looking to see the sites and learn historic facts, while having fun.
Very good experience for joining the day tour. A tour guide named Diego was very nice, professional, and gentle for introducing a lot of history for us. Really recommend to join the tour for your first time to come to spain!
Lluís was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! He was super knowledgeable and passionate about each location and its history, very welcoming of questions, gave great recommendations for meal breaks and also for clean toilets along the way which is always a bonus when traveling Europe. We’re only in Spain for 5 days and this tour was on our 4th day and it’s been my favorite day by far with these location visits and Lluís as our wonderful guide! I would definitely recommend this tour and hope you would be so lucky to get Lluís as your guide!
Beyond the expectation. All thanks to guide Luise.
Our tour guide Lluís was amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge and didn’t cut off anything need though we were running a bit late. It was such a great experience.
Tarragona was a picturesque city with rich history. Sitges was a beautiful beach city with white vibes and great seafood. Mr Lluis Goula, who was our tour guide was amazing and explained everything perfectly. He even picked us all and dropped us at respective hotels. He was just too good.
Diego was an amazing tour guide- very knowledgeable and has a wide range of topics to pass along to visitors. Thank you for the great details the whole time!
What a wonderful day! Diego is an absolute delight! He is so knowledgeable and shares so many interesting facts. So incredibly personable! He will also arrange your tour to what you most want. We highly recommend him!!

Our guide Vincente and our driver Joaquin provided us with an excellent day of touring in Tarragona and Sitges. Vincente was excellent at making everyone feel included and looking after everyone’s needs. Vincente took us to the Roman aqueduct outside Tarragona (which we memorably got to walk along) then gave us a great tour and overview of the highlights of Tarragona. In Sitges, we had two hours of time on our own to have lunch, explore the city or go to the beach. Thanks to the beautiful cities and Vincente’s great personality, the day flew by. A five star experience that we would recommend.
Really really good !!! Vincent our guide is very experienced. Another guide that we were passing by..called him the "5 Star" tour guide. Very professional, knowledgeble, made the trip entertaining wigh a good sense of humour
Great day! I highly recommend taking this tour. The guide is friendly and very knowledgeable. Be sure to pack water, wear good walking shoes, & wading in the water clothes -something that can roll up.
Diego was an excellent guide. We learned a lot and he took the time to answer our questions. Nice surprise : his French is also excellent !! Great day with him!
Diego is remarkable tour guide, he is well knowledgeable in the site we visited .we have a comfortable drive through out the tour .It's breeze to have options being pick up and drop off with a small group. There is never a dull moment with him. We will treasure the picture he took . I m 100% will recommend this tour.
We had a great group of both Spanish and English speakers….Llouis did a wonderful job of building a group sense , and including everyone in all the information. He was very knowledgeable and a great driver as well!
Our guide Lluis is knowledgeable and his expertise in history brought us the legacy of ancient Roman Empire into the journey. He’s also versatile in managing the seamless logistics and dual languages that made every member of diverse group feel engaged.
Had a great time with Diego. He was very accommodating and a great guide overall. He made the trip fun and memorable. He shared so many great facts. Loved the idea of a smaller group setting- more personalized and value for money!
Great tour with Vincent who was really knowledgeable!! You get a good mix between history and relaxation! Would highly recommend
