Antonio was an incredible chef and host. We made really good food and learned a lot about cooking tapas and cooking in general. We loved our class and would do it again!

very relaxed class. Anyone can do the class. Included a trip to the market. The food was excellent. the school sent all the recipes.
This was the most amazing cooking class I’ve ever taken. We take them all over the world when we travel and hands down. This is the best cooking school I’ve ever been to. It is so authentic even though it’s on La Rambla. And Yohannes was the best teacher and most hospitable person I’ve ever met.
Whole family loved it. Met 2 other families and everyone mixed brilliantly. So much fun. Unexpectedly a highlight of our 10 day trip. Up there with KONG Protocol! Yohannes was super fun and showed us many tips. Do it!!!
We had a wonderful experience. We learned some great culinary tips and the food was uniquely tasty. Johannes was a delight.
My family of four had the best time. Our chef/guide Yohannes was excellent! We loved learning about the Boqueria and shopping for the fresh ingredients and then cooking all together was a blast. The food from start to finish was DELICIOUS!
I learned a lot from Chef Juan. It was a pleasant cooking experience and market visit to the Boqueria market. Lots of hands on time, and we made a delicious soup, crema Catalan, tortilla, pan con tomate, and a seafood paella. I may not eat for a week! The only difficulty was the link for the location stared with 2 ppl, which indicates second floor, and Mr google and Ms apple maps thought the address was 2 La Rambla instead of 58.
OMG, what an amazing cooking class. Chef Juan really made the class fun (he is a very jovial, well skilled cooking instructor), who has a passion for cooking and teaching. We started off by shopping for the ingredients for our cooking lesson at the amazing Boqueria Market. The sites, colors, and smells of the market were all tantalizing. After the market, we went back to the cooking school and prepared: Spanish omelettes (potatoes, onion & egg), gazpacho, tomato bread, seafood paella & flan. Some of the best food we have ever tasted! Jazz played in the background, and the wine flowed (both of which helped make for a relaxing environment). We tasted delicious wines: a white Rioja (fruity, delicious & amazing); and a red Rioja (which surprisingly tasted good with the flan). Palo (very nice) handled the administrative process…checked the group in for the cooking lesson. We loved cooking with Chef Juan and our fellow cooking students (our Barcelona cooking family)! Our cooking family consisted of warm and friendly people from around the world!❤️ Thank you Barcelona Cooking School!
What a great cooking class! I opted for the Boqueria tour and class. Sonia was fantastic. She helped me navigate the market and provided some great tips and information regarding local ingredients and customs. Then the cooking class was so much fun and had a great pace to it. The instructions were easy and the recipes were delicious. It was very interactive and fun. I had such a wonderful time at my Barcelona cooking class and can’t wait to return with my daughter and take more classes with Sonia. She was fantastic. Thank you for such a wonderful experience during my time in Barcelona!
Fun tour of the market on la Rambla. Pick out your own ingredients and make a wonderful 3-course meal with great instruction and fun tour guides. Amazing wine too!
We took a tour of La Boqueria market followed by a traditional cooking workshop. The market is stunning, colorful, and tempting, and the workshop was excellent. We prepared gazpacho, Spanish tortilla, paella, and crema catalana. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was great. High-quality ingredients. And Sonia, the instructor, was lovely, professional, and created good vibes between the group members. It was so much fun!
I did the market tour and class with my family (wife and three daughters, ages 9, 14, 16), and we had a fun and memorable experience. The food we made with the other participants was delicious; we'll definitely be incorporating the recipes and techniques back at home.
This was a really enjoyable activity. Starting with shopping in the market, we learned a little about the foods that are are sourced from Spain, visiting stalls where they sold produce, meats, spices, seafood, and cured meats. Our head chef and tour guide, Renata, knew many of the vendors and was very knowledgable about the market history. Once back at the kitchen, we prepared 4 dishes plus dessert. The main dish was meatballs in a sort of mole sauce with cuttlefish... who knew that you could mix cuttlefish with ground beef?!?!. Anyway, the dishes turned out well, and it was a pretty fun experience to cook and eat foods that were just a little different than what we eat at home. Renata was enthusiastic and encouraging, keeping our small group of 'chefs' on track, and kindly breaking out the wine as soon as we finished the prep work that involved knives. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Our chef was Renata. She was delightful. She took us and another couple on a tour of the world famous Boqueria open air market right across the street to shop for the tapas were making that night, with lots of tidbits on the different vendors and products. Then she led our group (now 5) in preparing from scratch a leek and celery root soup, potatoes brava with aioli, meatballs and cuttlefish in a tomato sauce and tomato bread, with crema catalana (like creme brulee) for dessert. She gave us lots of tips on the preparation of the dish with several interesting techniques, and everything came out pretty damn good. She really was terrific and made sure everyone participated and had a good time.
We had an incredible evening. Our chef was super friendly and she did an amazing job teaching and explaining every step and including our kids as well.
This experience was outstanding! My wife and I signed up for this class despite the fact that I am a novice in the kitchen. All fears were allayed as our instructors, Candida and Antonio, were both diplomatic and accommodating. By the end of the evening, we both had new skills and full tummies!! Highly recommend this class.
It was a great cooking class! We were taken care of by Chef Juan who was very kind and attentive to everyone. He wanted us to feel like a family cooking traditional Spanish dishes together. Delicious food, good wine, laughter and new knowledge. I recommend and would visit again
Our chef Juan was awesome!! I learned a lot and enjoyed this class!! The food was awesome! Highly recommend!!
We absolutely loved Chef Juan! He really made the entire experience. He was very knowledgeable and so fun. We learned a lot and had the best time. If you're on the fence, just do it!
what a fun morning! Chef Juan was super knowledgeable, entertaining and fun! I wish I had done this earlier in my trip, so I would have known the ins and outs of the market before my visit. I would definitely do it again!
The highlight of an extended visit to Barcelona and other spanish destinations! Our instructor/Chef, Renate, was informative, engaging, and fun! The tour of the market was very educational and assured that a trip back was essential and the many merchants we meet were very welcoming. After reviewing all the meals eaten during a multi-week visit to Spain this was at the top and resulted in many recipes that will be replicated when back home. Highly recommended!
A spectacular experience. Too good to learn how to cook different foods!
