Our tour with Cristina was excellent! She was prompt and our meeting was easy. Cristina was extremely welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and super friendly- easy to talk to and ask questions She gave us terrific earpieces so we could hear every word. Our group of four all agreed it was one of the best private tours we’ve ever experienced- and we’ve done a lot of tours! Well done Cristina!!

Itinerary
The Sagrada Familia, the jewel of Gaudi's architecture and the skyline of the city of Barcelona, is worth visiting in depth, calmly, without queues or rooms full of people ... The astonishment of walking and observing the details of this Temple in its interior are priceless. And also, we choose for you the best schedule to achieve it. Our proposal focuses on the evening, starting at 4 pm. when the flow of visitors usually decreases and you will have the chance to visit the Sagrada Familia at your own pace.

It was cancelled the day before, leaving us no time to schedule another tour in the time period we were going to be in Barcelona.
Icono Tours contacted us a day before by WhatsApp and email, to let us know to arrive earlier than scheduled, due to a planned event at the Sagrada which meant our visit would be cut shorter. Anna was personable and accompanied our international group. Due to unprecedented rain, the talk about the facades had to be conducted indoors, fortunately she had photos to illustrate her points. We got a general overview of the church and this helped us understand the motives behind Gaudí’s design. Our visit after the tour would normally not be limited, but as they were preparing for a special mass at 4pm, we were warned the church would be closing in 15’. Despite this, it was good to be on this tour. Hopefully if you go it won’t be pouring with rain and the church won’t be closing early. A marvel to see in person and unforgettable.
I booked a golden hour small group tour no more than 9 people. I got a tour with 30 people the sound on headphones was full if static could hardly hear our guide. The church is magnificent and the light coming through the stained glass was magical. Very disappointed in the company that Viator booked our tour with!
Our tour of the Sagrada Familia with Anna was outstanding. Not only is the venue breathtaking, but our visit was made that much better having a guide like Anna. The group was small (9) making it more personal and, therefore, more entertaining. The information received helped understand this amazing building. Could not recommend it more.
Wonderful experience, skipped the group lines, Olga was so wonderfully knowledgeable and personable! Would 100% recommend!
Such a great experience. Gemma was an amazing guide, she knows a lot of details and her enthusiasm was infectious. I don't often learn so much in 90 minutes! We had a private tour and it was wonderful, definitely worth it for us. Highly recommend.
This was exactly what we wanted. Olga our guide was terrific and gave us great information about the church and we did not have to stand in lines. We would recommend it highly. It was a private tour of about 90 minutes. We booked with Tripadvisor
We have used Viator for European tours for many years and we have always been pleased with the tour. In fact, we used Viator earlier this summer to send our daughter and her family to the Normandy Beaches from Paris and I recommended Viator to my daughter in Ireland for a tour she took a couple of weeks ago. I say this because we have always had a good experience until this one. This time we booked and paid for a 1.5 hour Segrada Familia Tour for Private and Small group because one person in our party is visually impaired and needs to walk at a slower pace. Instead we were put with a group of 23 people. The tour guide had us on her list of individuals for the tour. When I showed her the voucher of what we paid for, she called someone on our behalf who said we should go with them anyway, I suppose so we could at least go inside and see things. This experience has made me question solely using Viator in the future, I will look at other tour companies. I think we should receive a refund for this tour.
Tour guide was ok but there were a lot of side tangents that distracted from the presentation. Group was too large. Would have enjoyed a smaller tour
Anna our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure she keeped us out of the heat as much as possible. The group was nice and small so it was easy to hear her and ask questions.
The tour itself was informative and interesting, but the logistics leading up to the beginning of it were subpar. We were at the designated meeting point in plenty of time, along with other guests. After the appointed time came and went, another guest came by and told us that the meeting point had changed to a different location so we all headed over there. Upon arrival, there was no sign of the guide. At that point one guest called and was told that the guide was meeting us at the entrance to the Sagrada Família. So we moved, yet again. We were all in one location. It would’ve been easier for the guide (who knows the city) to come find us, rather than the other way around. In addition, my husband has an injury that made walking a bit difficult and all the additional walking was taxing. To make it all more confusing, during this time, I kept receiving automated updates to be at the original designated meeting point.
Tickets were sold out, but this company was able to secure enough for our family that we didn't miss out on this "must-see" Barcelona cathedral. It is always an additional value and at least twice the learning to have a guide to describe and explain and provide history while we viewed the site inside and out. Our guide was excellent, sharing a deep and devout knowledge of the faith and symbolism of the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, as well as its history and that of its designer (Gaudi). He packed a lot in during the time we had together, making not just informational but (as he said) and experience. The meeting place is also well selected, close ot the cathedral and air conditioned (if you sit inside and have a drink and snack while you wait to meet up). I wish our trip allowed us to spend several hours in the cathedral after the tour was over, but we had a cruise deadline. This tour gave us much more than we would have otherwise gotten out of our short visit, even if we had been able to secure tickets and enter on our own.
Gemma was a fantastic guide!! Very informative and explained a lot about the history and architecture of the building
Absolutely best tour we’ve done! Great communication leading up to then tour. Very informational, on time and during the heatwave was very accommodating with making sure we were in shade and had the best visuals!
Gemma is so lovely and sweet, the tour was fantastic even though this period (June) is really hot here in Barcelona. But overall, i love the tour and all the details shared to us by Gemma.
We were pleased to find available spots only a few days out. We paid well over what it would have cost us weeks ago, but far less than other advertised rates. Jordi did a good job of managing the group and educating us through the experience. The headsets worked well. It was great to discover we could stay in the Basílica after the tour ended. I appreciated Jordy’s focus on our emotions during the experience.
Eric, our guide, was fantastic. I highly recommend him- very kind, knowledgeable and capable. The Basílica was beautiful- everyone should see it if at all possible. The tour was private- just our family which made for a very lovely experience, unlike the other tours I saw, that were filled with hordes of people all standing outside in the burning sun. This tour was awesome. Ask for Eric!
The tour guide was knowledgeable and thorough however we were disappointed to find out that the location was closing for a private event and were not allowed to access the museum and gift shop or explore on our own. If we would have had this information in advance, we would have canceled and rescheduled another date and/or time.
We arrived at meeting spot 22 minutes early early! Pinned spot so we know it was the correct location. At 5:10 no tour guide! But there were several other companies at same point. Would not use Viator again as they clearly did not provide proper info.
Our guide Cristina was lovely! She had great knowledge and really catered the tour to our interests. We had a tour at the end of the day and it was just gorgeous!
Christel was a very good tour guide.very knowledgable.made it a very good tour.made it fun and interesting.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. We did have earbuds or headsets which was very helpful to hear her. Great experience! Thank you!
After taking the money from the card, cancelled over email the day before the tour. Impossible to contact them and now I need to try and get a refund , wasting more time (obviously not making it easy). Most likely it's a scam. Avoid avoid avoid.
We had a major scheduling issue with this tour. Viator had informed us several weeks earlier that our 11am tour was confirmed. The day before the tour, we received a text from the group supplying our guide that we would have to change our tour to 4:15 pm because not tickets were available for 11am. We spent considerable time texting Viator and the tour group asking why we were told that our tour was confirmed if they did not have tickets for that day and time. No real answers were forthcoming coming, other than they would refund our money if we did not want to come about 4:15. We decided to rearrange our other scheduled activities since we really wanted to see the Sagrada Família. Our actual guide for the tour was Daria and she was excellent! She told s that the cancellation occurred because the Sagrada Família staff cancelled a large number of tickets at the last minute in order to deal with preparations for upcoming events. This apparently happens on occasion. We think it is important that Viator be upfront and clear about this possibility. Saying a tour is “confirmed” when it is open to last minute changes is not accurate. In a city like Barcelona where many attractions need to be booked ahead of time, unexpected changes like the above can be very disruptive.
Sophie was the most upbeat and excited person to show us the masterpiece of Gaudi. Smart, educated and quite knowledgeable, spending more time than booked to insure our experience was the best. I highly recommend you ask for her. She has been doing this for ten years! Thank you!
While viewing the interior of the Sagrada Familia was extraordinary, we were disappointed to find that Viator had not booked our requested (and paid for!) tour up one of the towers. This took some of the gloss of our experience. Also, make sure you time your visit for late afternoon, to coincide with the westering sunlight coming through the stained glass windows - the effect is stunning.
We really enjoyed our private tour with Carla. She has a wealth of historical knowledge about the Sagrada Família. She answered every question we had and was very easy to talk to. We were also so thankful she took many photos of us together which is hard to do when there are only two of you traveling. I would definitely recommend a private tour with Carla if you appreciate undivided attention.
Rowena was amazing and very knowledgeable. We were here back In 2018 and she gave some information about the sculpture that was not shared with us back then.
Pictures do not do it justice. Amazing to see. A guide is worth the expense as the history is unbelievable. Highly recommend!
Easily the most beautiful man made site I've ever visited. Antoni Gaudí was a genius and you'll not be disappointed with this visit.
Olga was super knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. It is an amazing and awe inspiring building. We learned so much!
Maria was very friendly and knew the details of the Sagrada exceptionally well. We were able to hear her well, ask questions, and pause when needed for photos. We skipped ahead of all lines and really enjoyed our time.
After our Saturday tour of the Sagrada Família was cancelled inexplicably at the last minute , Icono Tours Barcelona stepped in and rescheduled our tour with the fabulous Montes! Her depth of knowledge of the cultural and artistic history of the cathedral far exceeded our expectations, especially since this was not our first visit. She was knowledgeable, personable, and responsive to our many questions. What more could you ask for in a guide? Truly the highlight of our visit to Barcelona!
The guide's explanation along with the exploration of various parts of the Sagrada Familia was top notch. Highly recommeded. Gives you enough information to keep you engaged as well preventing boredom. You can take photos, videos after the tour is done. Admission fee was 70 euros. The guided tour is about 1.5 hours, afrer that you can explore at you own pace until the basilica closes. Crowd size was 6 people. Very lively and fun atmosphere. Highlt recommeded for solo travellers, groups, couples as well.
Excellent, insightful, private tour of the Sagrada Familia. No standing in line is a true plus!
Amanda was first class really knowledgable and made th tour so memorable. Recommended to anyone visiting Barcelona
The Expert Guide, Cristina is very professional, friendly and caring. She explained the stories behind the project. she shared details we might miss as a tourist. Had a lot of fun.
The guide (Crystal) was knowledgeble and helpful and gave lots of details to the actual construction and layout of the building. The Sagrada was breath taking and so very beautiful, and it is a must see, even if you are not religious.
booked in advance and have got confirmation AND vouchers for today, but then cancelled by Viator and no one feels responsible for a refund!!!! the local tour guide didn't even show up!!!!!!!!! :((( and the guy from the meeting point (Cerveseria Bavaria) told us, that it wasn't the first time that this happens with this tour operator....
The person in charge of the tour was not organized she walk with no control where we was and was a lot people she didn’t had anything to recognize her - we get lost and a lot people from our group too was walking trying to find her -
Christel was an excellent guide at the Sagrada Família—clear, engaging, and very knowledgeable. She explained the symbolism and architecture in a way that was easy to follow and brought the space to life. Friendly and happy to answer questions. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience. Jose was an excellent guide. Great with children. We skipped all of the massive lines, he was very informative, fully bilingual, and even helped take great family photos for us. Perfect experience.
Excellent arrangement and guide - Christel was very friendly and informed about the whole experience - would highly recommend!
The guide was great, Sofia, very knowledgable and enthusiastic.
Jordi was excellent he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would recommend this tour to everyone.
Fantastic private tour from start to finish. There was a small mix-up at the beginning, but the help desk handled it quickly and got us back on track with a great guide. Daria was very knowledgeable and gave a detailed explanation of both the exterior and interior, along with the full history of the church. We truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this tour.
Amanda from Icono was fantastic! She kept our combined group of adults, teens, and kids engaged the entire time. Highly recommend.
I originally booked with a different group months before my travels to Barcelona which turned out to be a scam (Feel the City). I scrambled to find tickets last minute because the main reason of my travels to Barcelona was to see the Sagrada Família. I am so glad my original ticket didn’t work because this tour was amazing and highlight of my family trip to Barcelona! Olga was so kind. She patiently helped us find her at the meeting point when we got lost as first time Barcelona visitors. She is also so knowledgeable about Gaudí and the Basílica. Will definitely be back and try to book again with her when the Basílica is complete mañana 😉 I cannot give enough praises to Olga and Viator for making this dream come true. ❤️🇪🇸🙏
Wonderful experience and an impressive site. Tour guide was super informative and very patient to explain to my daughters as well. Great experience
