10/15/26: José was our exceptional English-speaking guide. The two of us reserved this 90 minute tour several weeks ahead of our Catholic Pilgrimage because Glimmer Tours did NOT include an inside guided tour. We met Jose at the Julia Tour office conveniently located across the street from the Basilica where we were also given our “Whisper” listening radios. Indeed, Jose whisked us right through security past the masses of humanity outside. The interior features and colors were astounding as Jose clearly explained what he wanted us to observe and understand. We took so many remarkable photos and purchased a souvenir book from the gift shop full of timeless photographs. This was a “Five-Star” tour. You MUST reserve a tour well in advance of your trip. - Laura & Mark VanValkenburg, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina USA.

Olga E was a wonderful guide! She was enthusiastic and informative. She did an amazing job of explaining the history of an astonishingly beautiful place. We really enjoyed it!
Ava was very knowledgeable and friendly . She was able to move us through the crowds without us having to wait
Our guide Silva was very rude. She kept making jokes when the radio didnt work looking at my partner, who is Chinese, and said 'cheap chinese technology'. She did this several times and i made us very uncomfortable. She also didnt know how to use radio properly. We left the tour after 15 minutes. A very bad ecperience with a very rude guide.
The Julia Tour Office is across the street on the corner from Sagrada Família. Easy access by taxi. Bathroom inside office. Our guide was excellent. When our walking tour finished (through cooled museum and gift shop) it’s easy to find the taxi line to return to your hotel or next destination. This was great for us 8 older travelers.
I booked the Sagrada Família Guided Tour for June 30th at 4:00 PM. I traveled all the way to the starting point, arriving 20 minutes early, only to be told face-to-face that the tour was cancelled. The company claimed they notified Viator, but I never received a single email or notification about the cancellation. To make matters worse, Viator sent me an automated "How was your tour?" email afterward asking for a review. I wasted both time and money on transportation to get there for nothing. Utterly disorganized communication between the local operator and the booking platform. Still waiting on a hassle-free refund.
Horrible we were at the church 3:30 Our tour was at 4:00 We could not locate Julia’s Travel address because we were not aware of having to go to that address because it didn’t print out on our paperwork.l called her and she was very short with me when we couldn’t find her !! Then I tried calling her back and no answer!! She refused our refund!!! So due to mis communication I would never use these people again!!
This Familia Sorada was the most amazing tour and Jose did a fantastic job as our tour guide. The history that he shared the great experience was all embodied in an excellent tour in a fantastic experience. We loved every minute of it and highly recommend this tour not only was this tour fantastic but Jose really made it special.!
There was a strike, they cancelled the tour. I need to get a refund. The tour company said i need to get it from you.
Having toured the basilica 2 other times we were looking forward to this visit---BUT we had arrived late the night before from a transoceanic flight and unfortunately slept in the morning of the tour!!
We needed to reschedule from a Saturday Tour to a Monday Tour because our flight got cancelled and went out one day later. We were charged a “penalty” charge of 60% per ticket. We tried to reschedule this when we knew we would miss our original date. The company would not waive or reduce this fee. Everyone wanted to pass the buck; travel agent, American Airlines, tour company. Very bad experience.
If you are in Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia is a must see! Every step is like an adventure. There are so many things to see and a tour guide is a must. Our guide name was IXELL and she had excelent knowledge.
This tour allowed us to “skip the line” with a guide. Sarah F. who fully explained and guided us through security, into the church and provided us with a wonderful overview of the history on through the current day construction. She was personable, professional and answered questions. After the official tour concluded, she explained how to get a view of a tower, which is at your own pace. You are also able to spend as much time as you want on the grounds and in the church. Definitely recommend this tour if you want both a guide and chance to explore in your own.
Our guided tour of the Sagrada Família was absolutely worth every penny. Irina S. was an exceptional guide — knowledgeable, passionate, and full of fascinating stories about Gaudí’s vision and the basilica’s incredible history. Thanks to her, we didn’t just see the building, we truly understood it.
The tour to Sagrada Familia, which should be the absolute highlight of our Barcelona trip, had been canceled by Julia Travel just 1,5 hours before the beginning. No support, to get a replacement booking at the same day. This damaged our whole Barcelona schedule and is absolutely inacceptable for us.
A must see!!! Incredible! Pictures don’t do it justice . Book early if you can as tour sells out fast
Didn't really know what to expect but was blown away by the building and the history had a guided tour and the guide was very knowledgeable the inside of the building was as good as the outside well worth a visit and the money you pay goes straight back into keeping the work to be completed
Amazing site in a beautiful city. Our guide was informative, personable and enthusiastic. Easy walking tour.
Nightmare experience. We booked this tour in advance and scheduled our trip around it. The night before our tour I get a text saying they’re canceling the tour because it was closed for an event. There was no way to get alternate tickets for a different day because it sells out so far in advance . I found it amazing that a professional guide agency would be so unaware of a closure of the biggest tour spot in Barcelona until hours before the tour. We came to Barcelona specifically to see that and got less than 24 hour notice they were canceling. Then they told me I had to go through Get Your Guide to get my refund and that became problematic because Julia Travel wasn’t responding to them about the incident. Bottom line - they are not reliable. Buyer beware.
Pretty bad tour guide. Woman spoke a poor English and behave lake comedian not to say clown. Very immature.
The guide was very knowledgeable and was easy to understand. Provide very interesting explanations of the symbolism of the sculptures and architectural features.
It was a wonderful experience! This was my second time booking with Julia travel, they are always great! They even accommodated my in-laws who are elders in wheelchairs. Tour guides from Julià travel have always been wonderful.
Had such a great time on this tour. Irina S did a great job of explaining all about the Basilica and Gaudi's vision. Would highly recommend her and this tour!
Wonderful tour guide. humorous and kept us engaged. Learned a lot about the amazing Gotti artist. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful piece of architecture. Breathtaking!
The Sagrada is lovely. It would have been nice to stay and watch the colors change through the day (from the stained glass windows).
Stunning architecture like nothing else you can see. Sagrada Familia is to Barcelona what Notre Dame is to Paris. Not to be missed!
I have sent several messages and none have been responded. The ticket was with tower optional and the guide left without asking and then we were told not an option to go to tower. Very misleading.
App terrible. Not clear how to get your meeting pt or voucher. Missed my tour and had to spend 62 euros to rebook Apàling
Highly recommend this tour. Don’t leave Barcelona without seeing this incredible masterpiece. Pay close attention to the pickup spot and time!
Tour was great Sagrada familia was really awesome. Just had some audio and language issue with our guide. But overall was awesome experience.
Fabulous explanation of the outside and inside of the church and its history! Kassandra is knowledgeable, thorough and apparently excited to share her knowledge. One suggestion: the explanation of this tour mentions the "inside" and "interior", however so much of the tour focused on the story of and creation of the outside of of the building which was SO worthy of the time Kassandra spent here! The wind was so cold/miserable, that I would have dressed more warmly if the tour explanation had mentioned how much focus would be outside ;-). Please thank Kassandra again for her time and energy/ enthusiasm!
The tour advertisement is confusing, it said Tower access optional, and I thought the tour was included the tower access tickets and no guide. I found it is false advertising and the check in process is messy, and a little disorganized. Maybe it just the way it should be? Not sure. Our guide was okay. Definitely overpriced for the tour and I should be more prepared for my trip to buy tickets ahead of time instead of last minute and then trying to get in with tour guide.
I do not know exactly what I was expecting but this venue is a must see. It is a marvelous feat. There is nothing like it in the world. There us not much to see when you enter but what you do see is astounding. The history tied with what has been built that makes this a must see.
Beautiful cathedral and very interesting. The tour guide makes it so much fun and the hours and half passes by so fast
The Sagrada Familia is an amazing structure and is a must-see when in Barcelona. Julia Travel is a sub-par agency and I would choose another for a guided tour. While their location is conveniently within steps of the Basilica, the office staff has zero training in hospitality (no eye contact, no greeting of guests). “No food or drink” signage, as they sit and their desks and eat breakfast. I guess why they also have a sign prohibiting taking photos of the employees? Bathrooms were dirty. Tour guide spoke limited, broken English.
I have been to this church three times now. Once in 1997 once in 2004 and recently in 2024 what an incredible experience to see the change as it is completed. We got audio guide with this tour and we were able to download the Guide and listen with our AirPods. We went up the passion power. I cannot imagine not going up one of the towers and seeing the fruit at eye level. Such an experience. Plan in advance and get access to the tower before it sells out. Also, you recommend arriving as early as possible. Our tickets were for 1045. I had purchased 930 but they reserve the right to change your entry by the time we got down from the tower. The church was incredibly filled with people. Much more enjoyable before going up the tower.
Tour guide, Ignacio, was very knowledgeable, spoke English very well and gave us recommendations with regards to our free time in La Sagrada Familia which was great. Not Ignacio’s fault but the audio devices were not always working and during the tour we heard a lot of static.
I first learned of Viator on a Viking Ocean/River Cruise Facebook page and have since found that a few friends have used them as well on European trips. We booked the Skip The Line tour of the Sagrada Familia and were pleased with the process. Viator provided good information as to meeting location, timing etc. Our guide Sarah was lively and informative. My only other comment re: this tour is that the ear pieces provided by the cathedral to hear Sarah were not very good and at times I struggled to hear her clearly.
I had orginally booked a tour in English but ended up with a combined group of people who were French. Our tour guide Oscar was AMAZING . He was able to switch back and forth between both languages with no issues. He is very knowledgeable, funny and kind. I HIGHLY recommend Oscar as a tour guide.
The tour guide, Manu was great. She was so knowledgeable. The church was so amazing along with it's history.
The Sagrada was beautiful but our tour guide didn’t keep the microphone near her mouth. Over 50% of the time we couldn’t understand what she was saying.
We ordered an English guide and we got someone who we could not understand. He spoke English but his accent was so thick we struggled to understand him. This was true for over 8 people in our group!
We so enjoyed our guided tour of Sagrada Famiia. Our guide supplied valuable information about site with enough time to reflect and process what we were seeing. The tour was prompt and moved along nicely with time at the end to spend time on our own. Highly recommend!
Amazing tour! Sarah our tour guide was amazing and so passionate and knowledgeable. We loved it and would highly recommend.
We thought the visit to tower was included as it was ticked on our email and ticket But it was Not included and guide Oliver was gone when we tried to visit tower. Very disappointed!
The guide was very detailed about every aspect of Gaudi and sagrada familia. He encouraged questions and made the tour enjoyable I left with a deep understanding of the visions of gaudi.
Very misleading! Do NOT recommend. Since we had done several other tours in Barcelona,we met at the front of the attraction.I clearly didn't read the fine print. We were supposed to meet at a nearby tourist office. Very large group waiting. Our tour was at 5pm and we waited until 5:30 to be assigned A or B group. 30 people in each group with both English and Spanish speaking clients. The guide does the tour in Spanish, immediately followed by English. I would never have signed up for this tour if I knew it was bilingual. Lots of information and details, which should only be provided in your language. Our guide Oriolle was quite nice and accommodating, but it was difficult to continually go from one language to the other. This is where I think the tour was misleading. The cost was quite high considering the service provided. We loved the Church and were mezmerized by the beauty and light as we entered. The light and windows are spectacular. On the exterior, we especially liked the opposite side depicting stories of Christ's life...33 years on earth. A MUST see, but I would book again with a different operator. I would spend the extra $ for a Private group tour. It is very special!
Way too crowded and would have gone at sunset to see the amazing rainbow colors inside the church. Guide was really great though. Worth the money but would do a private tour next time and maybe cut the Everest to Summit backlog of people trying to get in
Outstanding service and very experienced guide! Thank you! Beautiful to see and unbelievable sights.
Excellent tour guide for this beautiful cathedral - he pointed out many details and answered all our questions!
