Itinerary
Meet your expert guide near Sagrada Família and enter Antoni Gaudí’s masterpiece through the Nativity Façade, the only façade he completed during his lifetime. Compare the richly detailed Nativity Façade with the dramatically different Passion and Glory façades, and discover how Gaudí’s vision has evolved since construction first began in 1882. Inside walk beneath soaring tree-like columns designed to create the feeling of a stone forest. Discover how nature, religion and Catalan identity influenced Gaudí’s revolutionary architecture, and see how sunlight streaming through the spectacular stained-glass windows transforms the interior with colour. Along the way, your guide explains the story of Sagrada Família’s continuing construction, how Gaudí’s original plans have been interpreted since his death, and the debates surrounding the completion of one of the world’s most extraordinary buildings.
If you select the Sagrada Família & Casa Batlló option, your tour begins at Casa Batlló, one of Antoni Gaudí’s most celebrated residential masterpieces and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its extraordinary interiors with your guide, discovering Gaudí’s imaginative use of colour, light, organic forms and innovative design. Your visit is timed to avoid the busiest period of the day, giving you more space to appreciate the details of the house before continuing to Sagrada Família. This option is ideal for travellers who want to experience two of Gaudí’s most iconic Barcelona landmarks in one expert-led tour.

This is a very popular site, very crowded. The skip the line option is a must. The Basilica is amazingly beautiful.
We didn’t enter the basilica until 6pm when the sun had already set. The colors I expected from the stain glass was absent because of this.
A long walk but well worth it. We started at 4pm but wish we had started a couple of hours earlier to get a better look at the stained glass.
If you choose to go up a tower, make sure you're OK with walking down 440 steps (elevator up). There are places you can look down the stairs with a hand rail only on the wall side, so it can be scary if looking down hundreds of feet gives you anxiety. The best time to go is on a sunny day in the a.m. or early p.m. so you get the real impact of the light coming in the windows either in the morning on one side or the afternoon before the sun sets on the other. Plan to take a bajillion pictures, but be aware of people around you so you don't get in the way of your photos, or they don't get into yours. It was very worth the cost, and I'm glad we did the spire. Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable and pointed out little things that were super cool but you could easily miss due to so much to see.
Tour guide was amazing and very nice. Tour was very informative and the lighting is amazing.
It is extremely taxing. I have been on many tours rated at challenging that were much less difficulr than this one. The tour of Casa Batllo was incredible while I would describe the Sagrada Familia tour as interesting but underwhelming. Part of it was a time change of the tour that put us there after dark. It probably would have been better at the time we booked. The guide was good, but her heavy accent often made it difficult to understand.
Great experience. Alberto the tour guide was fantastic. Well crowded but very easy to go around. Very recommended
The tour was wonderful. Meet up was clear and easy. The pace and level of information on the tour was perfect. The guide was very knowledgable and personable. I’m So glad we did the two Gaudi sites and not just the Sagrada Família. Seeing casa batllo first really made the cathedral all that much more grand !
The guide was well informed, passionate about Sagrada Familia and very engaging. He made a real difference in bringing the building to life. It is, of course, gorgeous, but the history and details imparted were excellent.
The guide Bernat was really good at his job and it was a wonderful experience for me and my son, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
This was a good tour of Goudi's work. Our guide was very kind and informative. We enjoyed this tour.
Our guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, able to answer all questions and was effective at keeping our group together under some challenging circumstances due to the crowds.
Very fruitful experience with a lot of contents and details explained by Gloria! Grateful to have Gloria!
We had an amazing tour of Sagrada. It’s the best walking tour I’ve been on. Very informative and entertaining. Great tour guide.
Guide was informative and through in some jokes. Guide had a lot of knowledge on the history of la familia Sagrada
It was 0k. Shorter than was advertised and no option to go up given. People kept leaving as well before she finished
Jana was incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic tour guide!! So many details and stories. Definitely recommend
I had an ok experience. When I got to the meeting point i asked the guide if I was in the right place because he had another color to identify himself. He completely ignored me and continued having an unimportant conversation with other people. I asked him again politely am I in the right place. Again he ignored me. I didn’t appreciate his attitude. Other than that the experience was ok
Wonderful and thoughtful guide. Amazing knowledge and communication of Sagrada Família - its history and beauty
Knowledgable tour guide. Beautiful buildings. She knew a lot of history. She was able to keep the group together. Detailed tour
What a wonder site to see....simply beautiful. Our guide was hilarious and friendly. A must when in Barcelona!
The tour was excellent. Tour guide shared lots of information and history. Sagrada Familia is so beautiful on the inside - hard to believe it and explain the wonderous colors
I was a little confused about where to meet but that was more my issue being in an unfamiliar country. Read the description!! Our tour house was very knowledgeable and able to answer questions. She did a great job!
The meeting point is at the ornate lantern near the address provided. The address provided for the meeting point is actually an apartment building and not truly correct. Once we called viator and found our tour guide, the tour was fabulous.
Amazing tour of La Sagrada! Alberto was a wonderful guide, we learned so much from him. Highly recommend.
Guides are no where to be found. They just st leave you !!! A rip off !!!! Will not book with Viator again!!!!!
A very informative and well presented tour of Gaudi's three main works and the history and concepts behind his creative design. It also showed his struggles and his ability to give freedom to the architects who went on to finish his work after he passed away
Well worth the money and experience. Our guide was awesome and learning about the history of Spain and the building was really great.
This was one of the best tours I’ve been on—Jana was excellent, knowledgeable, funny, and an all-around great guide. Well worth every penny, and doing both locations is definitely a lot to take in, but the pace was super manageable and easy. I went as a solo traveler, and was super happy with the experience, as well as the small group size. Would absolutely recommend!
Terrible, terrible experience. We went to Barcelona to see the Segrada Famiglia and didn’t get in. Couldn’t find our guide, couldn’t contact ANYONE. Took an hour to get through and be told they couldn’t contact the guide. Why they didn’t send us the actual tickets to get in is beyond me. We had 8 tickets costing hundreds of pounds. We made up half of the group but no one tried to contact us either. Now trying to get a refund and no one is responding to my emails. Ruined our holiday.
Very well organised. The Viator app tells you everything you need to know. Things happened as planned.
The worst. Avoid these scammers. They charged us $1450 and actually never showed up. No one answers the phone. Viator is currently trying to process a refund for us. We were stuck without going inside the sagrada familia.
There is walking and stairs involved. But the views of the architecture were amazing. Our guide Maria was excellent, very knowledgeable and patient (we had some participants of the tour who were not considerate of the others). Would definitely take another tour with her.
Our family loved the tour and much thanks to the guide we ended up with. Mel was super nice, introduced different aspects about Casa Batlló and Sagrada Familia with passion. A good balance of humour and professionalism, a friendly and warm person. We have not visited Sagrada Familia any other day time, so we can't share personal insights, but based on our experience, we tend to agree with Mel that visiting Sagrada Familia in the evening (the tour started around 4 pm at Casa Batlló) offers spectacular visual delights - the magic that the light creates inside the church is indescribable. Our verdict: 5/5 for the tour. Our conclusion: Gaudi was not a human being, no mortal man could come up with such elaborate designs that touch or reach perfection.
Beautiful! Anna was a great guide! Very knowledgeable patient and kind. She provided lots of information.
It’s completely deceptive that they send you a “voucher” that looks like a ticket but it isn’t. If you don’t read the fine print in the email, you will be in the same predicament. When I went to the destination, they were at another location and there was no way I could make it in time. When I called twice, they said they can’t get in touch with the the tour guide, and o had no ticket. They wouldn’t even offer a refund for the $160 I spent. I would not recommend Viator, and still waiting for someone in mgmt to offer a refund.
Tour was guide was timely and well identified. Very knowledgeable and made the experience humorous and interesting. Spoke perfect English and was very accommodating. The husband cathedral were iconic and a must do at least once. Your moves well without feeling rushed and allows for pics and questions. Bring walking shoes and there is stair climbing and a metro ride included.
It was amazing and mind boggling . Be ready to be blown away by the structure and building of it over the years it took till now
in general it wasnt too bad. But the tour guide was late and didnt hold a green sign which was mentioned jn the instructions. Instead she had a green tote bad. We were unable to see her at 3.45pm, I thought the tour guide normally showed up early. As didnt see them, we asked the casa Batllo staff who directed to the ticket office for changing tickets. But the office said we should look for the tour guide. We were panicking if we had missed the tour and no tickets to the attractions. If the tour allows up to 99 age, should look after more and provided information up front. The tour guide said inference at the roof top normally so the microphone was off and not sure when the microphone was back on, also there is only a small range between her speaker and our earphones. Not sure when she said can take lift from the top to the bottom. Same again she only mentioned at the last minute at Sagrada, we had walked the stairs already. The tour didnt allow time at the store of Casa Batllo. And taking metro from Batllow to Sagrada. In additon, its a bit late starting the tour at 4pm, should start 3pm. Seems like using 10 travel pass at the metro. We thought may be private bus as transport. So the cost of the tour its too pricey.
This was an incredible tour. Jana our tour guide was amazing and you could really notice her passion about the history. I would love to do tours with her again!
Our tour was with “Walk” and the tour guide was Jana and she is the best. She is very knowledgeable about these structures.
Everyone should see the inside of the Salada Familia! Our guide was very informative and we also really enjoyed seeing Casa Batlló. Be sure to check your meeting location for the tour!
Very irresponsible operator. We have reached out to them several times without getting a response. We booked a tour (#1396645213) with the Walks. The trip includes two visits - Casa Battleo and Sagrada Familia. Before the tour we were told that Casa Battleo will not be included and we will be visiting Casa Vicens (We have the email proof!), so we visited Casa Battleo by ourselves in the morning. When we met our guide Valentina in the afternoon before the tour, we were told that Casa Battleo is part of the tour and there was no plan to go to Casa Vicens! We were very disappointed and showed her the email. She suggested us to skip Casa Battleo since we already visited, then join the group for the second half for the Sagrada Familia visit. She also asked us to request refund. Valentina is great while the whole process is disappointing and confusing, especially waiting 1.5 hour outside of Casa Battleo which was not part of our trip plan. We submitted a partial refund request through Viator, and got rejected by the operator. We kept emailing the operator and they chose to ignore our emails without giving an explanation. Again, please reconsider when booking with them.
Wonderful tour. Our tour guide Albert was excellent. He was very informative. A perfect gentleman who went above & beyond
Valentina was very knowledgeable, positive and engaging throughout this tour. I really enjoyed my visits!
What a horrible experince. Do NOT book this. Book with Sagrada or any other company. We arrived 10 minutes early. NO ONE had a flag or banner to show which tour they were with. We went from group to group asking if they were viator. No one spoke English and we called viator and the tour 3 minutes into the tour after scrambling and panicking (and crying) that we couldn’t find a tour guide. No one offered to help and the woman on the phone with the company was so RUDE and hateful. We flew from Colorado to see Spain and this was a HUGE part of our trip and absolutely ruined our day and Barcelona day experience. I was crying for 2 hours outside Sagrada. Horrible. Do NOT book this. Anyone else but this tour.
So full of wonderful history. The guide was very well informed. This is something that should not be missed when in Barcelona
Antonio was a wonderful tour guide. He had in-depth knowledge and went above and beyond to make sure we all understood the carvings and statues on the outside of the Sagrada Família church. He made generous accommodations for my mobility scooter so that I did not miss anything.
Mel was amazing!! Highly recommend
