Matt was a fantastic guide on a rainy day! Equipped with a wonderful van, offering umbrellas to those not equipped, he easily navigated between narratives in Spanish and English for a group of seven. We learned so much in three hours about a beautiful city.. I would definitely use Matt again as a guide!

Itinerary
Start this tour directly from your hotel. Your guide will come to pick you up, so be sure to let us know exactly where you are staying. Enjoy an overview of Barcelona city along the route and pass by Catalunya square, the main square of the city center.
Head straight to the Montjuïc Mountain and enjoy splendid panoramic views of the city. The mountain was a strategy to defend the city against attacks. Now it is home to the famous Miró foundation and the Caixa Forúm. These and other buildings on Montjuïc, perfectly illustrate examples of modern art and contemporary architecture. Get the chance to see examples of town planning and architecture especially designed for the 1929 International Exhibition.
The Montjuïc Olympic Stadium is Barcelona's main Olympic facility. It is home to concerts and major sporting events. The second-largest stadium in the world at the time, it was designed for the 1936 Olympic Games, but due to the political situation of the time they never took place there and the stadium fell into disuse until it was remodeled for the 1992 Olympic Games.
Continue your visit of the city heading to Barcelona’s waterfront, passing by well-renowned city sights, such as the must-visit Las Ramblas, probably the most famous avenue of the city, home to many bars, restaurants and shops.
Along the way in the Ramblas, you may pass by the most known covered market of the city, La Boquería. Have a look at the main entrance and feel the hustling and bustling of the market from the minivan.
Along the way, at the lower end of La Rambla, you will see the Columbus Monument, pointing to a very unusual location... Find out more information with your local expert guide.
Pass by Barcelona's Olympic Marina, one of the city's most popular leisure areas. There's nowhere better in Barcelona for fun and relaxation than the Olympic Marina: water sports, beaches and countless restaurants serving seafood cuisine are just some of the attractions in probably the most Mediterranean part of Barcelona.
Pass by the Catalonia History Museum, standing over the Barcelona waterfront. The historic brick building that now houses the museum was originally built in the 1880s to store goods arriving at the port. Since getting a facelift in anticipation of the 1992 Olympics, the building now houses also several street-level bars and restaurants.
Have a look at the Frank Gehry's spectacular goldfish sculpture at the base of the Hotel Arts and to the nearby Gran Casino de Barcelona.
Pass by the Barceloneta, once the home of fishermen, people associated with the fishing trade and the metal industry, and nowadays one of the city's most visited and popular districts. The neighborhood, with its narrow, rectilinear streets, was built on a military grid structure to provide accommodation for the former inhabitants of La Ribera who had lost their homes due to the construction of the Citadel Park.
Located in the traditional fishing district, this is one of Barcelona's oldest and best-loved beaches. It is thought to have inspired Miguel de Cervantes as the setting for the fight between Don Quixote and the Knight of the White Moon. It was here that the knight errant was finally defeated and abandoned his quest.
Continue the day with a walking tour of the medieval Old Town of Barcelona. Enjoy a stroll in the Gothic Quarter, where the history of Barcelona began. Learn about Catalan traditions and Barcelona’s origins, while exploring enchanting corners, picturesque plazas and the narrow alleys of the Gothic quarter.
Walk in a maze of winding streets dating back to Roman times, live the passing of times through medieval and gothic architecture, have a look to the transformation of a city from its oldest times to a modern and vibrant lifestyle.
Visit the Royal Square, one of Barcelona's busiest, most vibrant spots of the Old Town. Have a look at the lamp posts made by a very young Gaudí and take the best of the shade of the palm trees. Find out why it is called the Royal Square even if the king has never lived in this square...
In the ancient Roman city of Barcelona, the Plaça Sant Jaume was the site of the Forum, the meeting place and stage for political debate. It could be said that the square continues to fulfill the same role today, as it is flanked by Barcelona's two political powerhouses: Barcelona City Hall and the seat of the Catalan government, the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
City Hall, also known as the “Casa de la Ciutat” (the house of the city), stands on one side of the Plaça Sant Jaume, right in the middle of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and in front of the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya. The neoclassical façade conceals Gothic gems such as the historic Great Hall, or Saló de Cent, designed by Pere Llobet and built in the 14th century.
The Palau de la Generalitat in Barcelona is the seat of the Catalan government. The Palau has pure Gothic, flamboyant Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements behind the neoclassical façade.
As you explore Barcelona's Gothic Quarter you'll come across one of the city's best-kept secrets. Inside a small medieval courtyard, the four columns from the Temple of Augustus have survived despite the passing of the centuries. They are more than 2,000 years old, like Barcelona itself.
Pass by the Monumental King’s Square, the Gothic architectural ensemble which best exemplifies the city's medieval past. The royal palace, the Palau Reial Major, and its surrounding buildings, enclose a harmonious and peaceful square which is still imbued with Barcelona's splendor during the Middle Ages. An absolute must-see visit while walking through the Old Town of the city and listening to the fascinating stories of your guide.
Pass by the Barcelona Cathedral and discover its façade and the combination of Romanesque, Gothic and neo-Gothic styles due to the fact that it was built over six centuries. Funded by donations from the medieval brotherhoods and guilds, the building work in Santa Creu commenced in 1298 and was completed around 1890, following the original plans, in the neo-Gothic style.
The romantic, slightly faded Plaça Sant Felip Neri is an unmissable corner of the Gothic Quarter. Presided over by the baroque church from which it takes its name, the square features a number of historic elements that make it particularly attractive.
The Greater Synagogue of Barcelona is one of the oldest in Europe and the last one to be discovered. Located in a privileged environment, the Call de Barcelona, the old Jewish quarter of the city, which still retains its medieval architecture.
Get back on the road and drive through the Eixample district, designed by Ildefons Cerdà after 1895, to expand the city. (The word “Eixample” actually means “expansion” in Catalan). Passing by the streets of this elegant neighborhood, you will note that Cerdà’s concept of urban planning was revolutionary and utopian.
Along the way, pass through Passeig de Gràcia, with its typical Catalan architecture. The avenue is home to the most remarkable façades of modernist buildings, including Gaudi’s La Pedrera, Casa Batlló and Domènech’s Casa Lleó - Morera or Cadafalch’s Casa Ametller.
Along the way, you will pass by Casa Lleó - Morera or Casa Ametller, built by the modernist architect Lluís Domènech, the University teacher of Gaudí.
Along the way, pass by the Casa Batlló, one of Antoni Gaudí’s most impressive houses. This façade is an absolutely must see while being in Barcelona.
Along the way, pass by Casa Milá-La Pedrera and get enchanted by its atypical shape. Listen to your guide telling you about this piece of art by the hands of Gaudí and get to know why this building is known as ‘La Pedrera’ (the house of stones).
Drive to the last destination of this tour, the life project of a genius or a fool, with no doubts the Sagrada Familia will leave a lifelong impression. Experience a moment full of emotion, admiring Gaudi's masterpiece, considered as the most emblematic landmark of Barcelona. There are no words to describe the feeling one gets when entering this magnificent temple of Modernism. The organic shapes found throughout its structure, the light filtering through its stained glass windows and the symbolic nature of the building’s sculpted façade will certainly be the highlight of your tour.

We spent all day with Anatoli exploring Barcelona. He was a wealth of information and so engaging. He introduced us to new foods and places throughout the city. He was so much fun!
This is was our 4th time in Barcelona . We have a great , relaxing tour . My husban and I enjoy the company with Carlos . Thank you Ines
Carlos was amazing, we learned so much and saw so many sights! We will definitely be rebooking soon. We ate a delicious meal and had good wine as well. Very good experience.
Had a wonderful day with our tour guide , Montse. Very knowledgeable about everything. Sagrada Familia, the Olympic area. Just a great time.
Teo is a very good guide. He explained the importance and history of Barcelona and its culture. He gave us great advice on things to do and where to find good restaurants.
Our 1/2 day tour of Gothic Quarter and Segrada Familia was just wonderful. Well planned, on time, very informative and friendly. Our tour guide Teo was excellent. Smart, great English, calm and patient with everyone.
TEO picked me, my mom and my young adult daughter up at our hotel and was a terrific guide and very sweet. We walked the old town, drove to some other sites and ended at Sagrada Familia. Note that our tour did not include a guided tour of inside Sagrada Familia but it was not needed as the museum in the basement teaches so much and the inside space is so beautiful, it is nice to just sit and absorb the magical light from the stained glass windows.
Teo is very informative, very accommodating and fun. I would recommend the tour. Our group is lively and not boring. Was able to go to some places that’s not part of the tour. I really appreciate Teo as a tour guide. Went above and beyond.
My wife and I had a great experience with our guide, Daniella. She navigated us around Barcelona showing us the main attractions, as well as some lesser known gems. She recommended a great restaurant for lunch. We had a great time. Would highly recommend.
Matt our guide is a brilliant man. He is truly a gem for the company . We got a very good introduction to the city of Barcelona and will certainly come back again and book more tours . Thank you .
Teo was our tour guide and he was great, friendly and made sure everyone enjoyed the tour. I was a solo traveller and it’s a great way to see Barcelona and meet fellow travellers and enjoy some time together. Highly recommended!
Teo was an amazing, informative and entertaining guide. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would recommend this to others
Matt was extremely knowledgeable and helpful great guide for the Barcelona area. We did the old town tour, then the Sagrada Familia and finished off with the Park Güell. Was an excellent day and it’s a huge credit to Matt. Thank you Emma + Michael the Aussie’s
I like to start any city trip with a full day private guided tour. Bothe guide and driver were friendly and fun but I must say I’ve experienced better tours before. Three to four star experience with a five star price tag. Besides from that Barcelona is a stunning city absolutely worth visiting.
Very bad experience: I was supposed to be picked up at hotel at 8 am but the tour guide never appeared. After several attempts to contact the tour operator I was told that the guy was sick. No calls, no nothing. Then another tour guide was sent at 12 noon. Liana was great!!!!!! She did the best she could to fix the situation but my day was ruined already. I can understand that anyone can get sick, but the lack of responsibility and professionalism is more difficult to understand. Specially for a private tour $$$ that was supposed to be for 8 hours. You dont play with people’s time and money. Really thankful for Liane’s effort. That’s the only good thing I can mention about this terrible experience.
Manuel was amazing. Knowledgeable friendly and witty. Went above and beyond to provide a complete and through tour of the key places to see in Barcelona
We had a wonderful private tour of Barceloneta with Pablo. We learned much about the history, architecture, culture of the city. Comfortable.
Our tour was terrific!!!!!! Daniella was very professional, friendly and courteous. She made sure we saw everything we wanted. Would definitely recommend her tour.
There were 4 of us including our 95 year old dad and Daniela customized the excursion for us. She navigated us through the city and gave us just the right amount of history, not overwhelming us with too much detail! Directed us to an authentic restaurant and walked us through the old city providing interesting information! Daniela stopped frequently to give my dad a rest and secured skip the line passes for Sagrada Familia. It was a terrific day thanks to Daniela!
Miguel and Sergi were wonderful. They made our experience so memorable. They were flexible and personalized our day and even took us shopping.
We loved having David drive us all around Barcelona and he gave us so much information and history. We could have never seen as much in one day by ourselves. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Our guide Teo was friendly knowledgeable and accommodating. He was fun to be with and explained all the sites really well, giving us more than enough time to see all the sites. The pickup at the hotel was punctual and efficient. My only complaint and it's a small one is that there were too many people in the small van for comfort. Otherwise it's a tour that I would definitely recommend
There is so much to see in Barcelona! Even though it was a long day, this tour did give us a great overview of Barcelona, it's history and architecture. Our tour guide, Liana, took us around almost all the different highlight areas of Barcelona explaining their history and architectural significance. We were transported in a private car and she pointed out a lot of the different buildings and statues we passed by while driving. The La Sagrada Familia tour is independent of the tour guide (they don't go inside with you), but there is an app that that the guide will help you download to access the recorded tour. The guide drops you off at the entrance and picks you up at an agreed upon time.
My husband and I went on a tour with Jennifer for the day. She was wonderful, informative, and very flexible. She even made a lunch reservation for us based on what we were in the mood for. I would highly recommend this tour as you will walk away with great pictures and memories.
Daniela was great! So much knowledge and passion for the city, flexible with our requests, took us to our off way places we preferred. Highly recommend the tour, especially with our guide!
Ivan was a wonderful guide and incredibly insightful throughout our journey to see the incredible sights of old town, the gothic district, Olympic facilities, and the Sagrada Familia. It was a very enjoyable day learning about the history of Barcelona, as well as key individuals and legends that give the city such a rich culture. I would highly recommend this experience to all of those who are looking to become more familiar with the city of Barcelona, as well as spend the day exploring fascinating locals with a wonderful guide.
Ivan was an amazing guide with fantastic insight. You could tell he was very passionate by the way he spoke. You could tell that he really loves what he does.
Ivan was very knowledgeable about the city. He was friendly and listened to our questions and requests. I would highly recommend him on your next private tour.
Ivan is an exceptional tour guide. He is personable and quite knowledgeable,,,and a good driver. He is willing to personalize the trip and meet your expressed expectations to the maximum enjoyment of those on the tour. If you are fortunate enough to have Ivan as your guide, you will most certainly have a tremendous day.
The guide Vincent was very annoyed with us when we realised the tour was 2 hours of walking and my 90 year old mother would struggle with it and slow him down. He was so worried about being late for next pick up and following tours and put us out on the streets and said he would be back in two hours and he would find us! We had no idea where we were and it was very distressing. So we found a taxi and returned to our hotel! Thanks to our travel agents many attempts to contact him he finally answered and agreed to come back to the hotel and take us on the tour if sagrada familia. He wouldn’t listen to me when I said we will start the walking tour. Also we never got our pick up time until 12.05 am on the morning of the tour well after we were asleep.
We had a great time. The tour guide, Teo, was very knowledgeable. Gave us lots of information about Barcelona history. Picked us up on time. It was a tour to recommend to others.
Teo was everything and more in terms of a tour guide. Gracious, patient, entertaining and always the consummate professional. Would not hesitate to recommend this org or Teo for a fun filled tour.
Daniella was our guide, and I gotta say she’s positively one of the best guides I’ve ever experienced! Really knowledgeable and very, very Cool!!! LOVE HER!!!
Daniella and Pedro - the driver - were both amazing! We were a private family tour of 10 with one disabled and she helped us all have safe and wonderful experiences. Very knowledgeable and personable. She took us to a great restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed delicious authentic cuisine.
We were taken around the entire city of Barcelona. We enjoyed hearing and seeing all the different and interesting sights of the city. Our only criticism was that the guide could have spoken better English.
Daniela picked us up in clean nice sized modern vehicle and we proceeded to drive around the city. Stopped at all the highlights and she was creative in finding parking places! She knows her history of Barcelona well and was a pleasure to spend the day with
It was amazing! We were able to see the whole city of Barcelona. It was very informative and we coude take many beautiful photos. The guide was very friendly and kind.
Daniela was knowledgeable, fun and new exactly where to take us for the things we wanted or needed. Thankyou Daniela you were awesome 🙌 Adele and Stella
Thank you Daniela our guide for the day in visiting the beautiful city of Barcelona. She made this trip very special by sharing her extensive knowledge of the various sites visited throughout the city. Daniela made the walk through the old quarters not only interesting but also fun. It was like walking around with a new friend. Highly recommend this trip but especially if you can get Daniela as your guide!
Marlon was the best tour guide ever. He spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and its history. He and our drive were both kind and accommodating to us all, especially our mother was was physically challenged.
What a fantastic tour. And our guide Daniella was the best! She is well versed in all aspects of historic facts regarding Barcelona.
Thank you thank you thank you Luis!!! So much fun, organized, learned a lot. Definitely worth the money and would do again!
My husband, daughter and I had the best time exploring Barcelona with Luis. He was so knowledgeable about the city and we were so immersed in the culture. Barcelona is so beautiful and Luis showed us so many aspects of it. Highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Luis as your tour guide.
Familia segarda and the guide knew his way around town . Took us to all areas of the city. Marketplace was awesome
Great tour guide! Very informative. We went through Barcelona and now I feel like a native. It was an amazing experience
Great tour with our fun guide Giovanni! Started in Boqueria, then saw many sites including the Olympic Stadium, Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia, and Park Guell, and had lunch at an authentic paella restaurant. We felt like we saw most of the city but never felt rushed. Giovanni was great at providing fun facts and tips for each place we visited. Highly recommend!
Matt our tour guide was very friendly & very knowledgeable. He was extremely helpful too. He tsught the group the best way to take full shot fotos which I was totally unaware 😉. Highly reccomended.
La Sagrada Familia was amazing, one of our bucket list items. The whole tour was very good. Our tour guide was Marlon who was excellent, he was very knowledgeable. I would love him as our guide for any future tours.
Our highlight of our tour of Barcelona was our time in La Familla church. Our tour guide Adrien made our tour memorable! He was very attentive to our questions and would highly recommend this tour!
