We went with our best friends to Barcelona before embarking on a cruise. We wanted to see lots in a short amount of time, and this tour was PERFECT!! The hotel pickup was so easy and appreciated. Gaspar was very knowledgeable about his beautiful country and eager to share lots of information. He was kind and always making sure everyone in our group of 8 was doing well. We started at Montserrat, then saw many spots around Barcelona, and finished at Sagrada Família. I highly recommend booking this tour, and hopefully you’ll have Gaspar as your guide!

Itinerary
Head to the Montjuic Mountain to enjoy great views of the city from top. Your passionate driver-guide will show you the Olympic facilities constructed for the 1992 Barcelona Games, such as the Olympic Stadium and the Palau Sant Jordi. Pass by the Miró Foundation and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city in one of the splendid gardens of the hill.
Continue your comfortable visit of the city heading to Barcelona’s waterfront, passing by well renowned citysights, such as the must-visit Las Ramblas, the Boqueria Market, the Columbus Monument, the Museum of History of Catalonia and the splendid Old Port of Barcelona.
Continue the day with a walking tour of the medieval Old Town of Barcelona. Enjoy a stroll in the Gothic Quarter, where the history of Barcelona began. Learn about Catalan traditions and Barcelona’s origins, while exploring enchanting corners, picturesque plazas and the narrow alleys of the Gothic quarter. Visit the Royal Square, one of Barcelona's busiest, most vibrant spots of the Old Town. Head to the Plaça Sant Jaume to have a look to the City Hall and to discover the most ancient and well hidden corner of the city centre, dating back to Roman times. Continue your walk in a maze of winding streets to visit the King’s Square (Placa del Rei) and the splendid Barcelona Gothic Cathedral. Visit intimate squares that has marked the history of this city and walk through the Jewish Quarters, one of the oldest and best preserved areas of the city centre.
One of the main hubs of the city, Placa Reial is a square in the Gòtic neighbourhood of Barcelona. It is close to La Rambla, and is a popular tourist attraction, especially at night. The plaza hosts many restaurants and some of the city's most famous nightclubs.
Barcelona Cathedral, also known as Cathedral of Saint Eulalia. The cathedral was build between 13th and 15th centuries and still impresses the visitors to this day with its Gothic style.
Plaça de Sant Felip Neri is a small square in the Gothic Quarter in the district of Ciutat Vella of Barcelona. The square takes its name from the Saint Philip Neri Church, which looks over the square.
Get back on the road and drive through the Eixample district, designed by Ildefons Cerdà after 1895 , to expand the city. Pass through Passeig de Gràcia, with its typical Catalan architecture. The avenue is home to the most remarkable façades of modernist buildings, including Gaudi’s La Pedrera, Casa Batlló and Domènech’s Casa Lleó - Morera or Casa Ametller.
The life project of a genius or a fool, with no doubts the Sagrada Familia will leave a lifelong impression. Experience a moment full of emotion, admiring Gaudi's masterpiece, considered as the most emblematic landmark of Barcelona. There are no words to describe the feeling one gets when entering this magnificent temple of Modernism. The organic shapes found throughout its structure, the light filtering through its stained glass windows and the symbolic nature of the building’s sculpted façade will certainly be the highlight of your tour.
Get on the road and head to the mystic mountain of Montserrat. This natural park, with its very peculiar peaks, protects the spiritual essence of Catalonia. For almost 1,000 years, a Benedictine community has lived in these mountains located 60 km away from Barcelona. Visit the Basilica of Montserrat, house of the serene image of the Black Virgin of Montserrat (the famous “Moreneta”), the saint patron of Catalonia, a polychrome Romanesque carving of the 12th century. On the way, listen to interesting stories about Catalonia and its bounding to the holy mountain, scene of pilgrims since ancient times and part of the route to Santiago de Compostela. Your guide will share important information to understand the heritage you will discover during the tour.
Decide with your small group of 8 pax if you want to enjoy a ride in the rack railway that will bring you at the top of the holy mountain. Enjoy astonishing views along the way.

We went to Spain on a cruise with our best friends, and we began in Barcelona. We booked a tour with Gaspar, and we were extremely pleased with Gaspar and his knowledge of the history of Barcelona, Spain, and many other things. icluding how wonderful Madrid is!. Technically, he advised avoiding Madrid :-) That comment was for Gaspar! If you find yourself in Barcelona, and want to find a great tour...STOP now and book a date with Gaspar! You will not regret it!
Highly recommended one day tour in Barcelona. The guide was excellent.
My wife and I toured with 3 other couples. The driver/guide was outstanding. He was well prepared, knowledgeable, and went well beyond our expectations. In addition to the tour stops and details he provided a great lunch recommendation that all agreed was terrific.
Tour was outstanding. Tour guide Anatoli was very professional, knowledgeable, and a very good driver too. Would definitely go on this tour again. Thank you.
Anatoli was great. Seen a lot, very knowledgeable
very great trip the guide is very professional.
Excellent experience for first time visitors to Barcelona. Matt our guide was fantastic. He had a great knowledge base to draw upon and was happy to share. It was not fast paced but he kept our group of eight moving to take advantage of our time. The hotel pick and drop off definitely and advantage to searching an unknown city. 5 stars for sure..
Matt was just super. Great tour, great day!
Our tour guide Mateus was exceptional. His appreciation for architecture, culture and the country was evident. The tour of Monserrat and Sagrada Família was the highlight of our tour.
Our tour guide Luis is polite, kind good very accommodating and good sense of humour that made our jorney a pleasant one. Luis have a very great knowledge of interesting places and history of Barcelona. I am happy to recommend him to my family and friends.
A great experience … and our tour guide “Matt “… made it to be exceptional tour… the way he explained all the details…he was very friendly …and amazing person … very knowledgeable and organized…”once again Thank you Matt !!!
The excursion with Matt(Mateo) was amazing! He is very knowledgeable about the sights we visited. We didn’t realize we booked during a national holiday when Monserrat is extra busy but he got us in early so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery. I can’t wait to visit again, truly a magical place.
This tour is a full day amazing experience with lots of walking. Our knowledgeable tour guide Matt who was also our safe driver made the excursion interesting. He made sure we were comfortable. We had time to explore Montserrat & Sagrada Família on our own. He made sure we knew exactly what time & where to meet him. Matt is the best! My only regret was not to be able to see & touch the sphere of Santa Maria of Montserrat because there was a very long line. It was Spanish day, a holiday so even the famous Sagrada família was packed with visitors. To really enjoy Montserrat schedule a full day visit to be able to do all the activities they have. Thank you Matt for a job well done!
Do yourself a favor and book your trip to Monserrat /Sagrada Familia with Viator and request Gaspar as your guide, he was very knowledgeable of the history of both places and Barcelona.Gaspar was puntual, easy going and with a good sense of humor. We arrived to Monserrat early in the morning so we didn’t get the usual crowds. Nice small group of 7 people. Going to Monserrat was one of the best experiences of my trip to Barcelona, amazing views !! I will do this trip again in a future.
There was confusion at first because I used points to book excursion so was technically through third party. This meant they didn't have my direct information when there was a pick up issue. Stephanie and Edgar found a solution and obviously things worked out. This was a spur of the moment, sure why not tour we decided to book. And definitely glad I did. Stephanie made sure that what you wanted, you got. Want that picture perfect photo - she's got you. Want to know the personal touch/local opinion - gotcha covered. Stephanie gave more a personal touch. This wasn't a "read the script, do A, B, C" things. I am going to be back in Barcelona in the summer and most likely going to contact again for another tour.
We had a great full day tour. Anatoli was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and made a memorial experience.
Unfortunately our tour was quite a disappointment. We were expecting an English speaking tour for a group of 8. We spent our first 90 minutes on the bus picking up 11 other people for a total of 15 people before our tour started. Our first 4 hours out of 5 hours of the trip were on the bus. That should have been better explained in the description Our guide was very chatty, somewhat disorganized and we felt she catered to the Spanish speaking people. As she led our group if you were not right beside her you heard nothing. There should have been audio headsets provided for a group that size. We were told to ‘experience” the Sagrada Famille and read for ourselves. This was not really a guided tour. We chose to leave the tour after the church and wander back thru the Gothic Quarter on our own. The overall tour description should be rewritten with better expectations. We certainly did not receive value for our money. Possibly a refund ?
Very enjoyable. Stephanie was very knowledgeable. It would have taken a lot of effort on my part to get all of these tour items put together. Having the transportation included with Edgar also made it worth it.
We were in Barcelona for a few days before a cruise to Rome. We booked a Barcelona sight seeing tour through Get Your Guide focusing on Sagrada Família and Mont Serrat monastery. Our tour operator picked us up from our hotel so we didn’t have to figure out inner-city travel on day one. Our tour guide, Stephanie, was Amazing! She was personally in touch with us the day before our tour to introduce herself and to answer any logistical questions. On the tour she was engaging, fun, extremely knowledgeable and multi-lingual (I think Stephanie speaks four languages fluently). We were picked up at 8:30 in the morning and back at our hotel at around 6pm. A long day but, you know what, it went fast. Stephanie was engaging the entire time and focused entirely on us tour passengers. Stephanie was amazing. Our bus driver, Edgar, kept us safe and worked seamlessly with Stephanie in all the complexities pick-up, drop-off at all the venues we visited. Overall, a fantastic experience provided by Stephanie and Edgar and well worth the price of the tour. Highly recommended!
Matt was our safe driver & knowledgeable tour guide. It was an educational & scenic excursion which wasn’t boring at all. He told us the history & some background information on Sagrada Família, Monastery of Montserrat, the Black Mother of Jesus, & Barcelona. He made sure we were comfortable & had time for toilet breaks which was important for me as a senior citizen. I liked that it was a small group only 6 of us. We were given time to explore on our own the 2 main attractions after making sure we knew where & the time to meet back. I just wished we had more time in Barcelona because it’s better to spend a day at Montserrat. Thank you Matt for a job well done.
My wife and I just experienced a fantastic, memorable tour of Familia Sagrada and Montserrat, due in large part to the great job by our guide, Matt. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, and gave a concise description of facts with a bit of humor. He cared about us tourists, answered our questions, offered accurate, easy to understand directions. When I told him we would like to go back to Montserrat in the future, he gladly offered the best way to do it.
Had a wonderful day with our tour guide Stephanie and Edger our bus driver to Montserrat and Sagrada Familia with hotel pickup. Stephanie was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We had a wonderful lunch ( not included) and enough free time to explore for ourselves. Would highly recommend this tour . It was well worth the price.
Our Guide, Gaspar was very knowledgeable and helpful to his customers. He explained the origin and meaning various artifacts and sites.
I truly enjoyed the first part of the tour, especially the walking tour through the Gothic Quarter with Stephanie. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. Unfortunately, there were several miscommunications between Stephanie and the driver, which created an unorganized feeling. The tour was advertised with an 8:00 AM pickup, but we were not picked up until almost 9:00 AM. I understand the storm was beyond Stephanie’s control, and I appreciated her efforts to pivot and manage the situation as best she could. I was disappointed with the Sagrada Família portion, as we were asked to leave earlier than expected and did not have time to visit the souvenir shop. At Montserrat, I was especially looking forward to taking the Cremallera de Montserrat rack railway for the scenic mountain views and visiting La Moreneta, the Black Madonna of Montserrat. However, the restricted tickets provided limited what we could experience and significantly impacted our enjoyment. This makes me want to redo this adventure when I visit again to experience what we missed. Overall, I understand that the storm affected the day and was beyond the tour operator’s control. However, between the weather disruption and the many restrictions on what was included in the day trip, the experience ultimately did not feel worth what we paid. As tourists, we expected to have the opportunity to fully enjoy some of the key experiences advertised, and unfortunately, the limitations left me feeling that the tour fell below expectations as I’ve done several.
We had an amazing day with Miquel! He picked us up promptly and was a delight the entire day! We were a group of 4 couples. The weather was not so great. It was raining very hard in the morning, but Miquel made every effort to keep us dry and still enjoy the sights of the city. We loved our visit to Sagrada Família! The weather improved for the second part of the day and our visit to Montserrat was absolutely gorgeous! We would highly recommend this tour and Miquel!
Great tour and excellent guide! The Barcelona and Montserrat tour was very good. Omid was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day. Highly Recommended!
Had an amazing time on tour with Omid despite the rain. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Would totally book another tour with him if possible.
A very energetic guide, informed, with a lot of background material and helpful slides to show (!!!). It was raining, so the weather diminished the whole effect. Nothing to do with the tour itself. Loved the monastery. Would not visit it if it wasn't part of the tour. We booked it for the Sagrada Familia tickets, but we came out with a lot more.
We had an excellent experience thanks to the outstanding work and service provided by our quide, Stephanie
Our trip started off rocky with flight cancellations and delays but that didn’t stop us from allowing ourselves to really submerge ourselves into the culture and adventure of our trip. We were greeted by Stephanie who picked my friend and I up at our hotel. We had another solo traveler with us which also made our tour very nice and intimate. Stephanie shared very knowledgeable information about the history of each area of Barcelona that we visited. It rained really hard and scary during our tour but we were still able to see the noted areas of our tour. Stephanie allowed us some time to really absorb every area we visited while still sharing information with us. The Gothic Quarter was our favorite and Stephanie’s knowledge of the history of the quarter helped us understand and appreciate this part of our tour Our Sagrada Família part of our tour was cut short unfortunately which didn’t allow us enough time to really absorb the ambience and history inside the building due to a “private event” that we were not notified about. So we literally had about 45 minutes inside the building. Which was not a great feeling especially not able to visit the tower / Sagrada specific gift shop. The Monserrat part of our tour was nice as the drive there was very peaceful and when we got there we loved entering the basilica and viewing the interior architecture. Again Stephanie knowledge was what we needed for this tour. As my friend And I love and appreciate the history of the culture of Barcelona / Spain. Maybe due to the weather and some bumps In the road that we could not control the rating would have been higher but overall the experience was something we do not regret and appreciate.
Great experience with Mateus. Last minute Sagrada Família tix wasn’t easy to get. I was able to secure 2 tickets via klook with a combination of montserrat. The door 2 door service was a great convenience and USP. Mateus was knowledgeable and super nice.
i love the time with our tour guide Stephanie, she is patient with all of us, professional to explain the background of every scenery spot, tks for her explanation, i understand this city more:)strongly recommend this trip:)and our lovely tour guide Stephanie:)
Matt was a great tour guide and I absolutely loved that the pick-up & drop-off was from and to my hotel directly.
Good informative tour with some great outdoor views and structures. Weather was very good especially for the walking portion of the tour.
During the tour, we explored the streets of Barcelona and visited Montjuïc, the Sagrada Família, and Montserrat.Traveling by car made it easy to move smoothly between each destination, and the timing of the tour was very well planned. We also had plenty of time to leisurely look for souvenirs. Our guide, Miquel, was cheerful, funny, and very knowledgeable. He was also great at taking photos, so I was able to capture many wonderful memories from the trip. It was a very fulfilling and enjoyable experience in Barcelona. Thanks to Miquel, I had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the tour!
I was able to learn a lot about history while exploring the area on foot, and I had a wonderful time. It was also very convenient and time-efficient to be driven by car to places that are difficult to reach by train or other public transportation.
Stephanie was a great guide! Her explanations were clear and easy to follow, and she always looked out for everyone in the group. As Japanese travelers, we really appreciated her checking whether her English was okay for us. Thank you!!
Gaspar was a great guide and very knowledgeable of local history and culture. Yes
Gasper really showed us lot of area we wouldn't have ever seen. His knowledge was excellent in all the area's we visited.
The tour was so interesting and our guide Omid was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable about the art, architecture and history. I loved the tour and everything was so well planned
If you’re short on time in Barcelona, you must do this tour! It’s a great way to see the most important sights in a short time. Our tour guide/driver was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful throughout the tour. Highly recommended!
Hengomeh our guide was the best and very kind. Our female driver was also the best. Thank you for making my trip memorable.
We had only one day in Barcelona and this was a great way to touch on major parts of the city (and beyond). Our guide, Hengameh, was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through the culture and history of the gothic quarter, Olympic hosting, Sagrada Família (amazing that they were able to get us our tickets as well) and Montserrat. She even reserved a table for the group (self-pay) and my husband and I had a some great paella! Luz was also a great driver for the long day of touring! Definitely recommend!
Very friendly guide (Hangameh) and our driver Luz :) we had a good Trip and Hangameh taught us a lot about Barcelona especially about the gothic quarter and so many other interesting things ☺️ (and yes the highest point is 174m 😉) we will definitely come back to Barcelona :)
Our tour guide Hengameh was amazing and very knowledgable. We spent a good amount of time at each of the attractions and were shown all the hidden gems to look for at each! We were also given free time to look around at our own leisure at each spot which was nice. Hengameh also reserved us a very nice and affordable restaurant for lunch! Would recommend.
Tour was very interesting. Omid was an exceptional guide. Everything went smoothly. The bus was comfortable and the driver did a great job.
Our tour was absolutely incredible, and that was entirely thanks to our amazing guide, Omid! He brought the history of the city to life with a deep historical insight and fun, quirky facts that you won't find in any guidebook. Not only was the tour deeply informative, but it was also highly entertaining from start to finish. Omid’s personable and warm personality made everyone feel welcome and engaged throughout the entire walk. If you want a tour that is both educational and a ton of fun, I cannot recommend him enough!
We had a great time on our Barcelona tour. Our tour guide Omid was fantastic. He has so much knowledge about the area. It was a long day, but we all throughly enjoyed the day. Group size was perfect. Highly recommend this for anyone with the extra time to spend to learn more about Barcelona and Spain.
Our tour today was:El Gòtic, Montserrat, Sagrada Família, the absolute highlight of our trip to Barcelona. The basilica is breathtaking both outside and inside. The stunning stained glass fills the interior with magical, almost otherworldly light. It feels like stepping into a fairytale! Our guide Omid was incredible. He knew every single architectural detail inside out and was so approachable, helpful and genuinely witty. He made the history come alive and made the whole tour so much more enjoyable. I 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!
