Jose from Golden Tour was our guide, if you can ask for him. He made the tour incredibly informative and fun at the same time. 10/10 from us.

Itinerary
The Sagrada Familia began construction in 1882 and is Antoni Gaudí’s most ambitious and symbolic masterpiece. Designed as a monumental stone narrative of Christian faith, its façades represent key moments of Christ’s life, while the interior columns rise like a forest inspired by nature. Financed entirely by donations and ticket sales, the basilica is expected to be completed around 2030—Gaudí famously said “My client is not in a hurry,” knowing the project would take generations to finish.

This tour guide was excellent. She exhibited a huge amount of knowledge. She was very nice and attentive and made sure we had a wonderful experience even though I have mobility issues. We do feel that the instructions for the meeting place provided by Viator should be easier to follow We had difficulty finding our meeting point Please give the name of the store rather than the address. However, it was well worth the initial difficulty since she was an amazing guide and we had a wonderful time.
One of the most magical moments of my visit was watching the colorful light from the stained-glass windows dance across the floor. It created a peaceful and almost dreamlike atmosphere that made me stop and simply admire the beauty around me. Gaudí's genius is visible not only in the architecture itself but also in the way natural light becomes part of the experience. Every step revealed a different combination of colors. It was a truly unforgettable sight and one of the highlights of my trip to Barcelona. The interior of the Sagrada Família is absolutely breathtaking. The vibrant stained-glass windows fill the entire space with incredible shades of red, orange, green, and blue, making the basilica feel alive. Every corner offers a new perspective, and the details are simply astonishing. Even with many visitors, the atmosphere remains calm and inspiring. I highly recommend taking your time to walk around and appreciate how the light changes throughout the building. It's unlike any church I've ever visited. Looking up at the towering columns and ceiling was one of the most impressive architectural experiences I've ever had. The columns resemble giant trees supporting a forest canopy, creating a unique blend of nature and architecture. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are extraordinary, and it's hard to believe how much thought went into every element of the design. Pictures don't do it justice—you really have to stand there and experience the scale and beauty in person. The Sagrada Família is truly a masterpiece and a must-see in Barcelona.
It was a super interesting visit. Xavi felt like part of the group the whole time. He gave us an amazing guided tour of the entire temple and explained details and fun facts that we would've completely missed without his expertise. It was a very thorough yet engaging tour. A 10/10 experience, totally recommended. Gracias Xavi!
We custom deisgned our 4 hour day. Our guide was beyond fantastic. HIghly recommend.
We’ve done Rome, we’ve done Paris. Nothing prepared me for walking into Sagrada Família with Xavi explaining what I was actually looking at. The light through those windows hit different when you understand what Gaudí intended. Genuinely moved me.
The private experience is the only way to do this. No tour bus energy, no straining to hear a guide over the noise. Just Xavi, us, and one of the most breathtaking buildings on the planet. The Nativity façade alone could keep me standing there all afternoon.
The basilica tour was definitely worth it! Having someone explain everything made a huge difference compared to going alone.
If you’re visiting the basilica or the park, I’d definitely recommend doing it with a guide like this! Makes a big difference.
If you want a tour that doesn’t feel “touristy,” this is it. From hidden stories to local food stops, everything felt thoughtfully curated. Our guide was delightful and made us feel like friends visiting Barcelona together.
Xavi was amazing from start to finish. Even before our booking, he was super responsive and helpful answering all our questions. During the tour, he was just as great — chill, engaging, and clearly passionate. We’re so glad we went with him.
We did a private Sagrada Familia tour with Xavi and honestly, he made the whole experience. Super easygoing, really knowledgeable, and just fun to listen to. He explained everything in a way that actually made sense without feeling like a history class. The place is mind-blowing, and Xavi took it to another level!
We have been traveling for a while but have never seen anything like this before. Sagrada Familia is incredibly beautiful and breathtaking and Xavier our guide just made the day better. Touring this unique piece of art, on our own, with a wonderful guide answering all our questions was an unfrogettable experience. We even saw the museum and Gaudi's resting place.
An unforgettable experience. The guide was warm, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Visiting Sagrada Familia with his explanations made all the difference. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. Worth every euro.
Visiting the Sagrada Família was quite an experience, it is impressive and the light is magical. The experience improved with the guide's explanations, with didactic and interesting explanations. Pleasant and approachable treatment.
I thought it was a very interesting tour, and on top of that we went up to the bronze Jesus to see the views of Barcelona
Xavi is an incredible guide, completely detailed information and he is accompanied by a tablet with which he finishes illustrating the magnificence of the Sagrada Familia
A very fun and cool experience
Great experience!! Xavi is a crack and super professional...very attentive and close... 100% recommended! Must to know Gaudí's work!
Xavi explained a lot of things we didn't know about Gaudí. She likes her work and enjoys sharing everything she knows. 100% recommended.
Loved it, the guide super good.
Excellent visit, dynamic and full of information!!
A great experience. Evidently in the best temple in the world. Xavi an exceptional guide who made us see with his explanations every detail and to put it somehow "see the Sagrada Família in full color "
The experience was very good, we explained with knowledge of the Sagrada Família and its history. A guide to repeat, thank you Xavi.
I have made many trips and cultural visits, but rarely have I felt so well accompanied and so knowledgeable. The explanation of our guide, Xavi, was clear, leisurely and perfectly structured. It was not just about seeing the monument, but understanding it: its symbolism, its history and the magnitude of Antoni Gaudí’s project. I was particularly impressed by the way the facades were explained — that of the Nativity and that of the Passion — and how each detail has a concrete meaning. The explanation about nature-inspired columns helped greatly appreciate the architectural genius. One thing I highly value is that the tour was dynamic but unhurried. There was room for questions, to dwell on the details and for even our granddaughter to enjoy and understand the essentials. Keeping the attention of such a diverse age group is not simple, and here it was achieved naturally. In short: impeccable organization, rigorous but accessible explanations and an enriching experience for the whole family. I recommend this tour without any doubt. Five well-deserved stars.
The Sagrada Familia tour exceeded my expectations for both the quality of the content and the way it was presented. Our guide, Xavi, certainly made a difference. Not only did he master the history, architecture and symbolism of Gaudí’s work in breathtaking detail, but he knew how to convey it in a clear, structured and dynamic way. Each explanation had context, depth and meaning. In addition, his charisma kept the tour entertaining and enjoyable. I came away with a much deeper understanding of the project, its symbolism and its constructive complexity. Fully recommended for anyone who wants to go beyond the photo and really understand the magnitude of this work.
Excellent choice to meet the Holy Family. The tour was very interesting, especially since Xavi, the guide, stopped to point out small details and curious facts that if we had gone alone, we would not have seen. Highly recommended!!!
Last November three of my friends and I decided to visit Barcelona. It wasn't my first time but it was for two of the group, so we chose to take paid guided tours. We wanted to know and learn, not just look at nice places. We were lucky, we were contacted with Xavi. the visit lasted 3 hours. We toured La Sagrada from top to bottom! Inside and out, there wasn't a single minute wasted, time flew by, I confess that the proposal of so much time generated some resound. But no, a real wonder, the visit was very agile. Xavi is a very generous source of knowledge. As we say in my country. AN OPEN BOOK , carries with it a tablet that works as a complement to the tour. There are details of architecture that only that way are appreciated. We were delighted. We confirm your reputation as the best in Barcelona Thank you Xavi. We highly recommend/.
Visiting the Holy Family was impressive, and Xavi’s explanation, clear and very enjoyable, made the experience even better. We left fascinated and wanting more. We will definitely come back to see it finished!
Very entertaining visit. Xavi our guide was very didactic, he gave us details and stories about the Holy Family, which we had not heard in previous visits. Super recommended!!
